I don't know how to answer it best.

But these guys leverage on the government's good-will(incentives), because they got the information about it. Is not like the others were maltreated by govt, but them(others) didn't have anything to develop. They were just going about their everyday job and living their normal lives!
What you mean to say is that even the poor were doing ok, enjoying good governance

Teymanhenry:
We've seen similar initiatives before, like the ban on food imports under Buhari's administration, aimed at boosting local production. However, it led to skyrocketing prices due to inflation and profiteering by some Nigerian farmers. If prices aren't regulated, we risk repeating the cycle where essentials like rice become unaffordable, with prices reaching ₦120,000 per bag while the minimum wage remains ₦70,000.
You can even go all the way back to prohibition - when US banned consumption of alcohol. It simply went underground, supplied and controlled by criminals. Same thing will happen here - smugglers and corrupt Customs officials will have a field day. Once the demand is there, supply will find a way to appear.
Also, don't expect China to take this lying down

Travel › Japa: US To Pay Illegal Migrants $1,000 To Leave The Country! by QuinQ(op): 8:03pm On May 06, 2025
Would you accept if you were in US?
Will you still japa illegally to US given a chance?

WASHINGTON (AP) — Pushing forward with its mass deportation agenda, President Donald Trump’s administration said Monday that it would pay $1,000 to immigrants who are in the United States illegally and return to their home country voluntarily.

The Department of Homeland Security said in a news release that it would also pay for travel assistance — and that people who use an app called CBP Home to tell the government they plan to return home will be “deprioritized” for detention and removal by immigration enforcement.

“If you are here illegally, self-deportation is the best, safest and most cost-effective way to leave the United States to avoid arrest,” Secretary Kristi Noem said. “DHS is now offering illegal aliens financial travel assistance and a stipend to return to their home country through the CBP Home App.”

The department said it had already paid for a plane ticket for one migrant to return home to Honduras from Chicago and said more tickets have been booked for this week and next. Justwise

Young lady, I am speaking facts not hearsay

Listen, I came down to Lagos because of that 2023 Presidential election. I manned the 3 polling units in my estate. We even did a casual bet with APC men that Labor will win all the 3 polling units, at the end, Peter Obi won all the 3 polling units, we all were there and counted it; APC, PDP and LP reps and voters were all present as we counted and Obi won Presidential with wide margins, PDP won House of Reps and APC won Senate, we copied results and left as the INEC officials struggled to upload the results on irev.

To my greatest surprise the next day, the result they uploaded on irev showed that APC/Tinubu won all the 3 polling units Obi won and he won with wide margins followed by PDP/Atiku that came third.

Honestly only God will reward Tinubu, INEC and all supporters of that injustice against Peter Obi just because he is Igbo.

Nigeria is going nowhere until you guys repent and stop supporting glaring evil.

When I showed the result to a very popular APC man in my estate, a rich man, he laughed at me that didn't he tell me and others not to waste our votes on Obi that Tinubu will win?

You can imagine the audacity. Whenever I remember the incident it still hurt me till today, so don't bring back those ugly memories please angry
But that was LAGOS, where Tinubu was lord, which Obi still won! Now compare to Northern states where Tinubu had no such clout, plus Buhari didn't want him as president. HOW did he rig those?? Answer: he DIDN'T! Not by any amount that would have made a difference. North simply didn't vote for Obi as Lagos and Abuja did!

franchasng:
You bought the Tinubu's propaganda media lies that the North did not vote for Peter Obi.

Peter Obi got massive votes in:

Nasarawa
Taraba
Plateau
Benue
Kaduna
Sokoto
Adamawa
Borno
Abuja

Are those States in Southwesthuh

Goodluck Jonathan and Obasanjo never won Northwest, Buhari always won Northwest with wide margins yet Goodluck and Obasanjo won.

Make no mistake, Peter Obi got the highest number of total votes cast during 2023 Presidential election.

Peter Obi won Tinubu in Lagos with over a million votes before they rigged it and reduced the margin drastically, my uncle who happened to be an LP Chairman was chased out of the collation center in Lagos when they started changing the results and he raised alarm, they used thugs and security to chase him out.

Peter Obi won Tinubu with over 700k votes in Rivers state before Nyesome Wike changed the whole result to Tinubu's favor.

Peter Obi won Tinubu in Benue state with over 500k votes before it was also rigged. Same happened in Plateau.

They rigged and massively reduced Peter Obi's legitimate votes in Borno and voters cried out on live videos on election day but all you gullible Nigerians held on to was that North didn't vote Obi because he is Igbo, says who?

When it comes to who scored the highest number of votes cast in 2023 Presidential election, Peter Obi won, but what I cannot say is if he did got the required national spread to be declared winner and if INEC had remained neutral and fair by allowing the polling unit result upload on irev to work, we would have known this truth
That's the point! He did NOT get the required national spread! Tinubu did! Tinubu could not rig Obi in Lagos which was his stronghold and where he controlled the governorship, how then can he massively rig Northern states? He was able to rig Rivers due to Wike. No, the North simply did not vote Obi in large enough numbers to give him national spread. They did for Tinubu. Just as East and West denied Atiku national spread.

I'm not criticising it either. I am saying it's ill-timed. We have seen how the prices of local rice skyrocketed immediately Buhari shut our borders to foreign rice. How does one explain that?

Nigerians are terrible opportunists. The only way to contain their madness is to have a price board that regulates how much producers sell their commodities. If not, we are all in trouble.
I don't see that as a problem because the money will also be spent locally not sent to China as is currently the case.
What I see as problem is ability to enforce this by preventing smuggling and seizing foreign goods from shelves

I don't know if Nigeria government is daft or on drugs.

You don't just wake up and ban something, you should work till you know your country is producing enough of it before you ban importation of it.
But your country can NEVER compete with Chinese cheap goods. The only way to force local production and innovation is high tariffs or outright ban

I don't understand this sentiment. So who won the election? The North did not vote for Obi. East and West did not vote for Atiku. Tinubu and Atiku split the North. Who would have won the election from your calculation, and how?

This policy ought to come when we have put our house in order by stabilizing power and improving other factors of production. As it is now, he will make Nigerian producers exploit the people.
And what would be the incentive to do that when we are flooded with cheap goods from China?
This is a case where you can only induce change in behavior by creating scarcity.

You're praising and applauding something you don't understand.

What does Nigeria produce that's sufficient for its people? Just wait until prices skyrocket again – you'll start complaining.

Some of you guys are really clueless.
Prices of LOCAL goods will skyrocket. Guess where that extra money will be going - definitely NOT to China.
It is NOT a bad policy. The only downside is that countries like China may retaliate. But what will they retaliate with - they can't stop buying our oil. They can only tell us to pay all money we owe them and no longer lend us money - which is good for us in the long run!
I can't criticize this policy though it doesn't favour me personally

A "Christian" who does know the Word of GOD is noting but a Title bearer.

Christianity by mere Title or mere Religion is a load of crap and packages you to hell.

A Christian is not one born by christian parents or is named John, paul , Mary of even JESUS.

A Christian is one Who has Genuie relationship with JESUS CHRIST and lives in Total obedience to HIS Word the Bible.

You cannot Be a Bible Believing Christian and Hate the Jews, the Children ISRAEL or talk nonsense about them especially as it relates to what is happening now.

It Is Impossible ! Only Fake So called Christians who have nothing with and His word would do such.

U better quit Deceiving Yourself in the name of religion before you Destroy yourself.
One of the qualities of a devout Christian is that he does not LIE nor engage in intellectual dishonesty. When he's asked to please explain how the people in Israel today meet definition of biblical Jews, he patiently tries to explain to the extent he can using the Word of God, NOT dishonestly try to obfuscate using threats and innuendo!

Jews have returned to their land and there is absolutely nothing una fit do.
I'm actually a devout Christian, quite far from "head slammer". But things have to make a bit of sense, don't you think? Samaritans were despised by lower kingdom Jews because they mixed and inter-married with Gentiles after being conquered. Well same exact thing happened to those lower kingdom Jews - they themselves were also conquered and inter-married with Gentiles. So who exactly are the people in Israel today that are pure blood?

Righteousness2:
Thinking they were wise they became Fools.

You carry andi Load yourself with all sorts of rubbish things and you dessert the One and only important, the Word of GOD, the Holy Bible .

Let me advise you young boi. Pack all those rubbish into Lawma bin.
What you need is to know GOD and Study HIS Word.
This is were you derive true Knowledge. So you dont be a Casulty of the devil's craftiness in these End of the Endtimes.
Where in the Word of God does it say people can marry whoever they wish and practice whatever is expedient and still be considered biblical Jews? Please explain HOW you can read and truly believe the Bible and still consider the people in Israel today the biblical Jews. Under what biblical definition of a Jew?

The question is where did they carry them away?
Those who haven't lost their identity have a right to leave, live and return to their homeland.
The answer is they were carried away mostly to today's Iraq, Iran, and Syria. See below.
God's criteria to remain his chosen people are purity of blood, maintaining certain practices, and NOT adopting certain Gentile practices. People in Israel today marry whoever they please and adopt whatever practices they deem expedient.

Righteousness2:
Complete Lack of knowledge will destroy your likes.

Scriptures are playing out live before your eyes yet the devil blocks your eyes.

The devil has folded you in his palm and his grinding your brain to destruction.

Please put sentiment and emotions aside and calmly explain to him how you know for sure that the people in Israel today are the original God's chosen people. (See below)
