CaptainFM1:
You missed everything I explained. I'm only postulating synopsis scammers and prophets used in their predictions. It's rare, if not almost impossible to make accurate predictions.

But hey! they don't need accurate or exact predictions. They just need to make a vague or blanket or general prediction. That's all they need base on the synopsis.

When daddy GO prophesy that someone will build a house before the year ends...all the congregation will chorus Amen! Meanwhile that's the biggest scam because it's generalised. Will someone actually build a house before the year ends...(Very probable). And when he does, he will come and give testimony that "When daddy GO say so and so....I claimed it and many more gullible religious fools will be deceived by that also"

In the examples I gave,
No one can predict exactly when Wale will go prison (Vague)

No one can predict exactly which STD? (Generalisation)

No one can predict if Audu will actually die of smoking (Blanket)

Yeah, that's how prediction and fake prophecy works!
Bottom line: this poster didn't predict Leo XIV six months ago.
Also, it doesn't appear on any major news outlet.

What does appear is that neighbors predicted when he was 6 years old that he'd be the first American pope (at least that's what his older brother said)

Ọmọ Jesus wasn't divine o it's those evil Jews who accused him falsely that are using different means to get him killed.

According to him his disciples have the same FATHER and GOD with him while he is their BROTHER. John 20:17

God never refer to anyone as "brother" o! smiley
You just said He was divine a second ago. Here are your own words: "God's Son which makes him divine".
Same scenario when you said why they stoned him, two seconds later you changed to Abraham!

MaxInDHouse:
They thought only God could say he has existed before Abraham nah.
But angels have existed even before Adam.
So whoever comes from heaven must be one of those living there either God or angel and in this case Jesus didn't claim he was an angel rather God's Son which makes him divine so to speak. smiley
Thank you! You finally admit it - "which makes him divine"! So, clearly, he was not like Moses or anybody else. Nobody else was God's son or divine. Well done and God bless

Nobody ever claimed to have existed before Abraham the grandfather of Jacob who is their forefather nah! smiley
So it's no more because of coming from heaven, it is now because of Abraham!😅
But they themselves said why they wanted to stone him to death in John 10 - "because you, being a man, make yourself God."
You still haven't answered the question: was Moses also around before Abraham?😆
In the whole history of the Jews who else claimed to be around before their forefathers, or claimed oneness with God?

The Jews wanted to kill him for claiming he is from heaven nowhere did Jesus called himself God, all himself and his disciples were saying is SON OF GOD!
Matthew 16:16
But if you have anywhere that Jesus or his disciples called him God let me have that verse! smiley
You must feel really ridiculous writing this. "For claiming he's from heaven"!😆 Where in Jewish law does it say people are to be stoned to death for claiming they're from heaven? Why wasn't John the Baptist stoned to death? Many, many "messiahs" came. Why weren't they stoned to death?

You are here, thousands of years later, relying on SOME words He said (that have gone through countless translations and transliterations), yet you know better than people who heard countless of words from him, heard Him directly, and saw His facial expressions and movements while speaking. Wehdone

MaxInDHouse:
Naaaaaaaaah, the translator used that in other translations it's rendered differently.
For instance:

“Most truly I say to you, before Abraham came into existence, I have been.” John 8:58
Naaaaaaaaah, you cleverly stopped at verse 58. Continue on to 59: "At this, they picked up stones to stone him..." - because claim to the divine name "I AM" (Exodus 3:14) was considered blasphemous under Jewish law, which prescribed stoning as a punishment for blasphemy.
They were right there and heard directly from Jesus while your translators came centuries later. Who are we to believe?

Besides, you said Jesus was like Moses. Was Moses also around before Abraham?😆
Also, they severally tried to stone Jesus for claiming divinity. Did anybody ever tried to stone Moses for claiming to be God?

Yes! Before Abraham Jesus existed.
That's what he meant!
Suddenly you no longer pay attention to tense used. HE SAID "I AM" NOT "I WAS"!!! Same "I am" God told Moses was His name. Same great "I Am"!

Spelling errors is not the issue here, the issue here, is that is is politics and traditions to them, to you it is religion...this is the point. Am not trying to teach history here, every adult knows the history, a simple research in google will tell you the relationship between Rome and great Britain, and how Christianity was started...my aim is just to point out that it is politics disguised as religion, a means to unite and control. The history is everywhere on google etc, but am trying to make Africans understand it's simply politics and consolidating power that made Rome recognise and started Christianity as an acceptable state religion, giving it holidays etc...
How can you be "trying to teach" what you don't understand. You don't know the difference between "started as" and "evolved into". Constantine's mother, Helena, and many others were devout Christians BEFORE Constantine had his vision that changed his mind towards Christians which led to Edict of Milan. You can say it later evolved and became intertwined with politics. Don’t say it was started by anybody as politics.
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Is God, Why Did He Say 'pray Our Father'? by QuinQ(f): 11:03am On May 09, 2025
MaxInDHouse:
Where most people don't notice is the past tense used in the Bible:

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ‭NIV‬

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. KJV

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. NWT

None said "the word is God" rather they all said the word WAS God.

WHY?

Because Jesus is the prophet who came in the manner of Moses {Deuteronomy 18:18} and Moses WAS a God! Exodus 7:1
And what most people don't notice is the present tense used by Jesus HIMSELF: "Before Abraham I AM"

It's good you know Constantinople, a Roman leader, he authorised Christianity as an organised state religion for Rome, its people and subjects...they were Christ followers before this time, but Christianity as an organised religion was formed by Rome.

Do you know back then bishops were like supreme leaders working on the behest of the Romans in England, Wales and their other territories...does sending troops to warfare, ordering executions and being a supreme leader not sound like a political appointment to you?

Like I said, to the leaders of Rome then it's politics, but to you it's religion... that's exactly how they want it to be...not here to argue, argument on this is meaningless, a simple research will tell anyone what they need to know on the topic.
Which one be Constantinople, a Roman leader? You say "A simple research" yet you call Constantine as Constantinople. Genius!
Simple: there was no grand conspiracy. These things happened organically.

On the eve of the Battle of the Milvian Bridge (Oct 27 312) Constantine saw a vision, where he saw a cross in the sky with the inscription "In hoc signo vinces" (In this sign, you will conquer)

His victory over his rival, Maxentius, at that battle (28 October 312) awarded Constantine control over the Roman Empire and also, according to accounts by contemporary writers Eusebius of Cæsarea and Lactantius, contributed greatly to Constantine’s shift of attitude towards Christians.

The next year, 313, he promulgated the Edict of Milan which granted everyone freedom of religion thereby decriminalizing Christianity.
In 325, after much debate as to the divinity of Christ he convened the Bishops in Nicea and after much debate they decided that Christ was indeed divine and issued the Nicene Creed which is recited in Churches till today

It does, it's all politics, presented as religion to the people.

Romans started Christianity religion, papacy started from there, the Romans brought in their proteges, Englishmen became bishops, and they helped their colonial masters Rome spread the religion across the world.

The reason Romans started the 'christianity religion' was a political reason, to unite their people and subjects, after Christ died his followers were going under the spirit, doing acts the Romans see as sorcery, witchcraft etc, a lot were put to death, but they just won't stop, so the Roman authority thought of a way to end these executions and a way to unite all its people's, so they brought the pagans (majority of indigenous Romans then were pagans), and the Christ followers (mainly Roman subjects of other lands, a lot of who lived in Rome as slaves, workers etc, a lot live in other lands colonised by Rome as well) together under a religion, that is why they brought all those celebrations done in honor to the Roman sun deity (Christmas etc ..), into Christianity religion to make it appealing to their people,a careful blend, to carry everyone along...that is why they can't just the Pope title to an African man, for now. Americans are Europeans too ancestrally.
Who is the "they" doing all these things? The emperor was the supreme authority. Constantine was the first to decriminalize Christianity but by then most of his household and generals were already (secretely) Christians. Did they become Christians before or after "they" sat down and planned out all these your conspiracies?

That is one of the vices which the North has, they are drawn to religion while the South is easily manipulated with false hope or their pocket.

In a sane social clime, opposition will win the next election land slide, doesn't matter if it's the conservative party or the liberal side.
Our presidency is too powerful. It is almost impossible to remove an incumbent. Jonathan was an aberration. We copied the American powerful presidency without having all the multitude of things they have that keep the president in check.
All the powerful forces that have to agree to remove Tinubu from office are either appointed by him or dependent on him - from INEC that declares who won to Supreme Court that rules if the person truly won. Even if Tinubu decides to play fair and accept a loss (which will be out of character for him), powerful forces invested in him winning will not allow him

I call the Northerner the freethinkers, they vote for who they really desire, the Southerners are not freethinkers, they are slave to the system, majority are 9-5, salary earners and just give them a sense of hope that things will be better, they will support you.
Free thinkers my ass. If Tinubu were not a Moslem who also picked a Moslem, the North would not have voted for him. That's Tinubu's master stroke - everyone was advising him to pick a Christian, to "balance the ticket", to avoid muslim-muslim

Well that's how "democracy" ends up working everywhere it's been tried. Democrats vote in block, so do Republicans. Tories all vote together, so does Labour. And since majority carries the vote, if you're minority after a while you start getting tired of being almost irrelevant
