you no see as Obiano chase Peter Obi comot from APGA? My guy run go PDP, e no see road for Anambra.

Like my father says, as far as an Igbo man is concerned, he cannot take orders from someone who is not feeding him. Apprenticeship go finish one day, you cannot be under one man forever
Now we are on the same page, tinubu was not just feeding his family or close associates, he made sure it trickled down to the wards, to the baales and obas, almost all notable kings have capital projects they are given to do. That's the astuteness, like a Lagos man will say ' se iwo lo n garri mi ni, nah you dey give me garri chop. Tinubu make sure say the garri reach all the places, not just a few political acolyte. Maybe someone would come and try it in the east and let's see the result. Of course there is also that Yoruba tendency to defer to elders or consultation and swallow insults in the process

nobody can outsmart abybody in the East

It is not about political smartness, it is about culture. The Igbo man does not believe that one man should dictate to them what happens in their lives. There is no godfather in Igbo land and there can never be. Many have tried and failed, if Tinubu was Igbo, he for do him two terms comot
Yeah the independence and republicanism of the info man and culture is well known. So that is a factor but we also know that there has not been a maradona and evil genius like tinubu too since 1999. But whatever the case, there is something to be said about continuity in state politics, it has never been too good for a new governor to come in and then make the previous governor a mortal enemy, dismantling and discontinuing anything associated with the previous administration like it has so often happened in the East.

But Tinubu dey carry Lagos state play bet9ja.

Some people allow others choose their leaders, others realise that one man cannot lord over millions. When no be say he be God. Background determines what is viewed as normal and what is abhorred.
Maybe they are not as smart politically and in studying human nature as tinubu is. Tinubu is the democratic equivalent of IBB, he is a maradona and evil genius. He gathers people to himself, mingles with them and make sure they all get something. Long before it came to this roforofo fight, Ambode has annoyed the people that could bring him back with his visionscape debacle. The PSP arrangement was a way of settling all the local party leaders at the very grassroots of Lagos state politics, he gave them a job to do, these guys employed labour and were doing fairly okay. They became millionaires and they were happy with the wisdom of their party leader. Now Ambode in one fell swoop cleared them out, the same guys that would mobilize their people, dance around town, steal ballot boxes and break bones if they have to. How do you think it would end up for him. None of these local warlords would lift a finger for him and he was doomed. Then his only recourse is to hope the citizenry of Lagos would bail him out maybe if he goes to a different party, but that can't happen when he same citizens are drenched in visionscaoe filth and submerged in boreholes on the road.

forgiveness:
It is an acronym derived from the four original local government areas that make up Anioma, i.e., (A) for Aniocha, (N) for Ndokwa, (I) for Ika and (O) for Oshimili, M and A being common denominators found in the original four local government areas. The coinage was made by the founding father, Chief Dennis Osadebay, in 1951 and has remained the preferred indigenous name by which the people collectively refer to themselves.

Learn please. Chief Dennis Osadebay ( Edo man) coined the name ANIOMA from the original four local government.

Their was nothing like Anioma tribe before 1951 neither has Delta state ever being part of Igbo land nor Eastern Region. It was either under the Western region and later Benin but all that is inconsequential if they decide to tilt towards any tribe or region.
Enough please.... Enough. Let's leave history and politics because it would leave a sour taste in everyone's mouth

Did you also take into consideration how many middle belt officers lost their lives in the first coup. Could it be a major factor in their reaction. People are not static, they relate and react based on experiences, people identify and de-identify with people and states based on collective experiences and events over a course of time. If you have identified with a course previously based on shared common interests, you can decide to alienate yourself and redefine if the reasons are no longer tenable. It's just the way we are as humans.

Icons4 want to be throwing jabs and then ring the bell for end of the round.

Hmm..... Your knowledge of the north needs brushing or maybe you left out details on purpose. The Kanuri man has been fiercely independent for centuries, the TIvs instigated a strong riot based on ethnic identity long before Gowon made any decree.
The willinks commission of 1957 specifically looked at the agitation of minority groups who fear domination by the 3 major tribes. There was agitation for a Midwestern state in the west, calabar-ogoja-rivers in the east, and a middlebelt state in the north. The major reason it was Not implemented was that even after creating more states for the agitating states, other micro-minorities will still agitate that is, it will be an endless process.
After independence the only region that acquiesced to the yearning of the minority in their province was the western region, that says a lot about them.

Nothing you said here justifies what you stated about "people from that part of the country"

However, doesn't Moses have ties to that part of the country? Shouldn't the team be more wary of Moses who allegedly has some contact with Benin? Or does his being UK-bred make him unAfrican?

The rest of your statement is laced with ignorance as well. Why do Africans always find the negative in their cultural and religious practices? So, because Senegalese players were practicing certain rituals that white people are exposed to, it is obviously juju and that is so bad? What is the difference between African Traditional Religion and the white man's Christianity? Why do black people look upon their own religious practices as evil and negative while the rituals done by the whites is not evil? The consecration of the body of Christ in the Catholic Church is a ritual, but nobody looks upon it as evil, the pouring of anointing oil on heads is a ritual, but nobody calls it 'diabolic', but an African man takes out some powder and a calabash and boom! He is diabolical.

I am sorry for you people and this warped sense of thinking. It is one of the great reasons why the black man will forever remain in the shadows, because h has no sense of self and has adopted that his ways and his culture are evil and whatever the white man does must be right.
Africans have been scared silly of their own religion long before the white man came. Witches medicine men, evil forests, taboos, don't eat this, don't touch that, etc have made people live perpetually in fear for ages. Probably why it was easy for something more appealing to supplant it.

Very simple answer to that.

Divide and rule.

Separate Lagos from the South West Region and in 40years time see if an Isale-Eko man's children will not denounce being Yoruba. For instance, The Ikwerre's didn't know they were not Igbos until Rivers state was carved out of the Former Eastern Region.

Nigeria should forever remain thankful to Gen. Yakubu Gowon. He was really a man of foresight.

I finally rest my case.
I wonder if you can, statements like your last sentence will make people come for you, they will sting and draw you out. Your firewood has ants and the lizards will come for them.

Hmm I don't know where to begin. You claimed that decree 34 was the problem so I asked you what you would have done to bring back order when the nation was in chaos and you are talking about punishment.

Before for you get to punishment part, how would you have first brought things under control without issuing a decree that overruled the preexisting civilian leadership?

keep in mind that the civilian leadership was in shambles at that time and politians all over the country were scared. Even months before the coup by nzeogu, there was operation wetie in the SW.

The nation was in Chaos. How would you have brought things under control?
That is the more reason he should not have promulgated the decree. The civilian govt was in shambles. They pose no threat to him, the constitution had no authority because the civilian administration has gone into hiding. The threat was from the Military boys. He should have killed the coupists, get the boys back into the barracks, reassure the safety of the politicians and get them back to work.

I DISAGREE.

The problem with the Bundesliga is lack of competitiveness. Take away Bayern and you have a huge gap. Take away Borussia D., and 3/4 others and you have another gap. That is replicated in the Bundesliga 2 as well.

The EPL is not like that, any of the top 10 and lower teams can beat the top team. That trend is replicated even more in the Championship.

Bundesliga 2 is slow and lacks intensity. Tell me a Bundesliga 2 team that can beat Bayern on a good day. Bundesliga 2 is on par with English league 2.

The Bundesliga 2 is probably on par with the Eredivisie but certainly not on par with Belguim league. No team in the Bundesliga 2 can beat Anderlecht, Genk etc
In the same vein which championship team can beat Bayern Munich on a good day. Because Man United and the likes are rolling in the mud with championship team does not mean Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid is that mediocre. Man city, Liverpool are getting to the point that no championship team will get a whiff of them again.

Iwobi was inside the post scampering to his feet. Even if he got a touch, Moreal's shot was already whistling inside the net.
The suspected deflection was not when he was inside the post, if so it would have been his goal. It was the attempted lunge by him for the ball before it got the Montreal. Though I don't think it touched him at all, imo the keeper pushed the ball into Montreal.

With respect you are talking about the exceptions not the general trend.

I booked a friend in a average hotel in Lekki 1 and got to talking to one of the reception staff. She had a degree in Finance from Uniben graduated 7/8 years ago and monthly salary was 60k naira.

Maybe she was not being truthful I don't know.

But is that kind of salary not enough to cause deep depression, chronic desolation and despair.

And that's a graduate what about the multitudes who don't even have a degree and or a job of any substance.

Can you not see the depth of despair that our people are going through. Maybe you are not in Nigeria and can't empathise.

Because I certainly feel thier pain.
I don't think you get what he is saying, suffering Nigerians don't even have the cash to go thru the Libyan route. Like the lady you mentioned, how long will it take her to raise 1.5m to travel. Suffering Nigerians are mothers who have to sell pure water to send one child to school and lease out 2 to middle class families so that they won't all die. Suffering Nigerians are those struggle with each other to carry your luggage at the bus stops for 100, boys that stand in the sun all day selling rat killers and fake belts. None of these people can raise 1m. If you can raise 2m to travel out, you just want something better. There are graduates who go from Agege to VI and earns 50k monthly. I can tell you that if you give any of these people 1.5m, spending it on travelling out will be way down their thoughts.

Hebrew women syndrome
The interesting thing about the Hebrew women story is that there were no 'Hebrew women'. Pharaoh asked the midwives why they are not killing the boys as instructed, the women lied that the Israelites women were strong and before they came to help, the Hebrew women had already given birth. This was not true because the midwives actually helped to deliver the babies but refused to kill the boys and so God blessed them. The Hebrew women were actually not different from the Egyptian women with respects to giving birth.

My thought as well, probably a jehova witness.
No she is not, JWs do CS and take all medicine except blood. The Bible said the life is in the blood and it is something sacred to God and should not be eaten. JWs don't eat blood sausages or trapped animals and don't take blood transfusions for the same reasons. But they don't wait around to die believing that the blood will come by miracle, rather they have championed bloodless surgery and alternatives to blood transfusions. And they gone to great lengths to educate doctors and hospitals all over the world about these options and many leading scholars, professors and top hospitals are already going the way of bloodless surgery or reducing the amount of transfusions to do to the barest minimum.

This man thinks we have forgotten what transpired so fast.
How did the girl knew she had failed when the result has not been released. In fact the school confirmed that the girl passed with 45 marks but she was told she has 33 marks by the werey man.
The school said from the evidence before them it was the man that was sexually harassing her and no evidence that he told anyone he was been harassed. If a girl is harassing sexually for marks, all I need to tell her is that I will never register her for that course again if she does not stop immediately.
So the girl took off her clothes in your office and the next best thing to say is that you would sleep with her 5 times... Yeah so true. Why not tell her you would pass her, that she should not worry that is more calming than your bogus 5 times.
If you have whatsapp chat just show us the screen dumps not some fictionally conversation. How do we know the VC said all that. We already have the schools statement until the school confirms all that diatribe, then it is just a figment of the foolish man's stupidity. See as the whatsapp conversation dey one-sided and raw, but in the actual audio, it was not the case, the man was the one that was sexually driving the matter and also the one that is afraid, telling the girl not to mention his name. If you were setting a trap, you won't be scared of your name being mentioned. Baba oloriburuku.
