I so hate this term with passion, it just shows the level of delusion our politicians engage in. Dubai mall does not call itself an ultramodern mall, some idiot would commission a wooden stall and tag it ultramodern.

Ejoor wasn't a slave, what happened then could have been resolved diplomatically instead of using force on him, he had no other option than to align with Gowon. You guys hardly take responsibility for your actions.

For the record straight, Ejoor had warned both parties not to bring their battles to mid-west, in fact he was angry with the central government because they withdrew all the military men posted in mid-west, he was left with few men.

The greatest mistake then was to attempt to kill him, that brought too many groups who were neutral to side with Gowon.
He commanded a group of officers whose loyalties lied with the east and himself and other non-igbo Midwest officers like ogbemudia were targets. Ojukwu was bent on installing a loyal governor in the Midwest

Isaac Boro completed his assignment on earth and joined his ancestors. Nothing like mistake, his mission was to free his jaw compatriots from Igbo domination in the then Eastern Nigeria and he succeeded. Nobody lives forever. Btw, when you guys write your stories you always conveniently forget Biafran atrocities in the minority areas during the war.
Please for historical clarity, all evidences of such should atrocities should also be highlighted by these minorities. It is so hard to find, its like after the Nigerian victory, there was an unspoken agreement to sweep such atrocities under the carpet, the atrocities committed on both sides. But the Nigerian army atrocities and the riots in the north are not easily hidden because of the scale at which it was done and also because the Easterners refused to keep quiet. I have heard of atrocities in auchi, Benin, some in my moms village, and also in the Ibibio areas. I went asking people from these areas but there is hardly any documentary evidence and when these people die, it would be hard to prove.

Why does saboteurs always come up in the struggle of Biafra. During the biafran war every battle lost was blamed on saboteurs. This one has not really started and the story of saboteurs is already rearing its head. A lot of good men were lost in the war due to this fear of enemies within. Its either Biafra is never able to fight together as one, or the saboteur story is just a way of blaming others for your mistakes. In life and especially in warfare you must learn from your mistakes or you die, Biafra proponents are not learning.

you look wetin you wan look, make others look wetin dem wan look.

Different things make people watch football, different things make people support football teams. Some people watch for skills, so, they prefer the likes of Messi, some watch for goals, so, they prefer the likes of CR7, some watch for the commentary, so, they love Tim Beglin and Jon Champion, some, just enjoy the atmosphere in a stadium.

I personally watch for all of those things AND more. Everything is part of the package. I don't care for looks with club football, but when National teams are in play, and I go to Twitter and read women from SA, Namibia, even the USA, talk about how fine the Nigerian team is, my dear, e dey burst my brain. E dey make my head swell, because boys dey represent.

Football did not get billions of fans because of wetin dey brain. You think say na wetin dey brain na im make EPL beat La Liga for viewers? EPL players get skills pass La Liga guys? You don't know aesthetic is part of the allure? When you watch an EPL game and you watch a La Liga game, you will appreciate packaging and realize that football is about a lot of things and it is not skills that is pulling in the big bucks.

If their football is not sexy, well, they better be looking fine as hell grin
Nah nah nah, in Messi we watch for everything, goals, dribbles, killer passes, assists the whole spectrum. Not just goals, Goals that gives the big O

But no CU graduate is "poor"
Compare the Mean Income of housholds in CU nd Public Universities...
2. If one in 100 Public university graduates do masters abroad/can afford to do masters abroad, then 1 in 2 CU graduates do masters abroad/can afford to do masters abroad.
The argument is about the concentration of CU graduates in tech business.... It is simply a number games..CU students are more likely to be successful than Public university graduates.. Simple.. It is an elitist society
There is no paradox there.. u simply refuse to understand without it being explained..
You are slow(i get)
P.S it is simplistic and dumb to base an argument with the points you made (can't remember what fallacy it is)
There are a number of factors and what you highlighted is a major reason. Why is it that kids of very rich people regardless of the school they went to are doing very well. Privileged background, money, name recognition, connection.
CU students, AUN students fall into this category. I work in the IT industry, all our interns in the last 2 years have been CU and landmark kids. We have absorbed a number of them and they have become highly skilled. But they came in because they knew the MD, business connections etc.
Another factor is that these kids have been attending the best schools since kindergarten, so it is not surprising if they are highly intelligent, they have been exposed to the best schools all through their lives. So their intellect is not just due to CU. Its a summation of the privileged life they have lived.

Take a statistic of the number of Decent dressed ladies and the slay/indecent dressed ladies. I happen to ply yaba route very well back in the days and I can tell that the decent dressed ladies are rarely touched but the guys will always touch those slay/indecent dressed ladies to bully. This protest should start with them " Ladies stop Immoral/slay/indecent Dressing".. Before " Stop touching ladies" and infact it should be rephrased to " Stop touch decent ladies"
If it's all about indecent dressing and not gender. All those boys that sag with to the knees walking like demented apes with their smelly boxers nauseating everyone, why are they not harassing them and calling them names.

But sorry if I am ignorant ooo...this market touchings that they keep talking as if it is aimed at women or something sexual...I have bn to yaba many times...these guys just wanna make a sale...they drag every customer(male or female) say anything to catch attention no matter how lewd and they do so to both gender...the only diff is that men joke and laugh over it...buy what they need to buy and check out..while some women turn it to rape allegation...
Yeah, they drag everyone but the way they handle women is worse and can be sensual, the language they use for women is also very rude, if a guy says don't touch me and if a lady say the same thing, their response to the women is very debasing. Then imagine having to endure that from multiple guys, sometimes they gang up on the woman, they never do that to guys. When a guy says leave me or don't touch me, they often respect their space but women are not given the same courtesy.

What makes yaba the market not to take it to. It's because it's the worst of all, maybe not as bad as some parks. But it is mostly an igbo trader things, and it's just plain wrong. The health risk is even enormous, with Lassa fever, Ebola and the recent yellow fever that killed people in some states, then some unwashed idiot will be pulling you up and down.
RomanceRe: "Stop Touching Us" Campaigners Assaulted By Yaba Traders (Pics, Videos) by rabzy: 5:51am On Dec 16, 2018
It is well known that igbo traders hustle hard, and they are notorious for harassing everyone. It's so terrible. If you try to board buses to the east, they will nearly tear you apart, as a guy you can resist with force and threatened but as a lady you are totally at their mercy. They have cut many ladies bags and mess up their belongings.
Like 15 yrs ago, my sister was shot in the arm on her way to Lagos after finishing NYSC, she still had pellets in her arm and bandages, while passing thru oshodi, nah so one idiot dragged her back on that arm to come and enter motor, when we were not even travelling, she screamed, I was so angry that I was shaking, it was my sister that pacified me and told me to let go, possibly because that is the way they all behave. I support this movement but they should not engage these idiots, because they are unreasoning animals, they should get NGOs and possibly government agencies to engage their market leaderships, and let them know anyone doing this will lose his market space.
That will curb the menace.

What does ALATA mean? They were calling us that
Alata means pepper seller in Yoruba. Some of the earliest traders to the southern part of Ghana are ogbomoso traders who traded a lot in pepper. When the Ghanaian govt sent Nigerians out of Ghana a lot of these traders who have been established for decades there were affected, their properties forfeited, this was before our own retaliatory "ghana must go" ejection. So the term Alata has been used to describe Nigerians for a very long time in Ghana.
Christianity EtcRe: Daddy Freeze Criticizes RCCG On Tithe Banner "Don't Be A Robber! Pay Your Tithe" by rabzy: 8:16pm On Dec 03, 2018
Kennydoc:
Now, here's what I believe.
Giving offerings or paying tithe isn't what makes anyone rich. There are principles of wealth creation that if anybody applies, they can be rich. There are more atheists and unbelievers who are rich than there are Christians. Just the same way the sun shines and the rain falls both on Christians and unbelievers, that's how wealth is.

Giving to God is mandatory for every believer. One of the ways we prove our love for God is by our giving. God so loved the world that He gave... When we love, we also give. The church of God truly needs money to operate. The problem comes when the money coming in is more than what that church needs for their basic operations. That's where many pastors start failing cos they do not realise that the excess coming into the church should be for the benefit of the entire church not just for them. Will I say I should stop giving because some pastors don't manage the extra very well? No, cos if we stop giving to the church, the work of God will be crippled. I am mainly talking about churches where Christ is the central focus. Of course some so called churches are pure business centres. I don't have any business with such.

A true believer that is walking with God knows that all his money belongs to God. Those referring to the early Church where tithe wasn't paid should remember that those believers then gave their ALL. People sold off ALL their entire possessions and brought the money to the church. How many of us can do that today? The church then had enough funds because people sold off everything they had, brought the money to the church and believers' needs were easily provided for. That method can't work in today's world, just like we can't expect people to sell all they have. That's why giving 10% of your income should be the least every believer should do for the sake of the body of Christ. Some people with greater understanding even give more than 10% regularly. The point is that part of your earnings should be dedicated to God.
Where I have a problem with many pastors is their thinking that the whole tithe belongs to them alone. The money shouldn't ideally be for the GO or the pastors alone, but for the benefit of all the believers in need.

As for me, I am not poor by the grace of God. I still have more than enough after giving my 10%, so I will continue to give it. Sometimes I give it to missionaries, but that's the farthest I can go with it. From the 90% I have left, I still have enough to support the less privileged around me, which I do occasionally.
As for pastors that misappropriate the church's money, it's not for me to judge, neither will I stop giving because of them. God will judge that ultimately.
Giving is Godly and expected of all Christians, mandating a least percentage to give for christians is false, saying God will cause calamity to befall someone because he refuses to give that said percentage is devilish.
Christianity EtcRe: Daddy Freeze Criticizes RCCG On Tithe Banner "Don't Be A Robber! Pay Your Tithe" by rabzy: 8:10pm On Dec 03, 2018
Kennydoc:
Come on! You can't say there is an aggressive campaign for tithing simply because you saw a banner in one out of thousands of RCCG parishes.
That statement isn't a new thing. I have heard a story of one of the people who had a revelation of heaven (I think she died and was taken to heaven) where she said that people who don't give their tithes are considered as armed robbers in heaven. I heard this over 5 years ago. Don't ask me about that. I didn't see the revelation by myself, so I can't verify that.
Moreover, the content of the banner is from the Bible. You can argue that the interpretation could be different, but it's a verse of the Bible they based it on.
When you take a text out of the context it becomes a con. By taking tithing out of the context for which it was commanded then it becomes a con.
