I was a football fanatic as a kid... I used to go to my dad's car to listen to radio when Nigeria league teams were playing on the continent. Ofcourse, when NEPA did their thing.

Iwanyanwu Nationale, Bendel Insurance, Julius Berger, BCC Lions of Gboko, Abiola babes.. We used to have several teams sponsors by companies and individuals.

My first team was BCC Lions, then later on Julius Berger and Shooting Stars.
i remember the chant we used to taunt iwuanyanwu nationale then, o ma n ke bi ologbo uwuanyanwu, they are crying like a cat uwuanyanwu.....wicked twist on the club name.

Friday Ekpo was a good midfielder with too much of skill, well respected in the local league with ACB.He also had a stint with athletic petro of Gabon but couldn't raise his game after Senegal 92 and this paved way for Sunday Olishe.

I still remember his well tailored pass at Senegal 92 to Stephen Keshi that gave us the second goal against Senegal. It was high tension match with Siasia scoring a beautiful goal and Jules Bocande equalised for Senegal after snatching ball from Keshi but Keshi redeemed his image after scoring the second goal and the winner.

Definitely i watched Elastic Friday Elaho live and even had the opportunity of watching his seniors in that left wings, the likes of Adokiye Aimesemeka,Felix Owolabi,Humphrey Edebor and Folorunsho Okenla.

Friday Elaho came into well recognised limelight during afcon 90,very skillful and wonderful winger who fall out with Westerhoff cos of contract issue and Amuneke seized the opportunity.

He played together with Uche Okechukwu at Brondby in Denmark but did not have it smooth after Brondby. Now retired and run his things around Lagos axis.
The guy face can make you forget leave ball go play stone.

Sunday Faleye out of 2018 CHAN, elbow injury sidelines him for 4 weeks

Sunday Faleye has told SCORENigeria he will play no more part in the 2018 CHAN in Morocco after he dislocated his elbow against Angola and has been ruled out of action for 4 weeks.
Faleye landed badly on his hand and was later forced out of the CHAN quarterfinal against Angola in the 59th minute yesterday in Tangier.

“I have been ruled out of the rest of the tournament because of
my injury,” he told SCORENigeria

“The doctor said I will be out for a month.”
The 19-year-old winger started the Eagles first four matches and was the match winner against Libya in a crucial group game.

I remember Boko Haram long existed before the Gej regime but he took the fall for it and all fingers were pointed at buhari .

Now we have also forgotten that Fulani attack has long existed as far back as obasanjo regime, and buhari WILL take the fall for it, but why are fingers still pointed at buhari? Isnt it clearly based on hate, religious sentiments, or tribal sentiment, revenge or partisan politics?

Toor, if no state will give up colonies, let us tackle the problem our way and establish anarchy upon ourselves, but let's sha not forget that fulanis cannot be expelled.
Agree with you on the blame, but buhari's response to the attack has been very lame. The northern farmers are experts at irrigation farming. The north has a lot of land mass, they should rent/lease or buy land and do irrigation to feed the cattle

Ok, so you believe just like I do that he's better suited as a SS than a striker. Why do you then loose your rag when I say he's not a striker?

Why do you try to prove me wrong when you believe he's a SS? Serious question.

By the way, stop the comparison between Kelechi and Mbappe. It pisses me off.
It's like comparing a Lambogini with a Fiat Punto just because they have 4 legs. Ha
oga is it that you just want to argue endlessly. you asked him to answer some questions and the whole thing stops, but you continued. Superned says he is an A striker but an Aplus SS, but you came out and said he is no striker thats an F and you are totally wrong to grade him that way. He has scored in that role for different teams multiple times, coaches that see him in training everyday have played him in that role, so how can you say he is no striker. SS is surporting striker that alone makes him a striker.

Then comparing him and mbappe and saying he is a fiat punto smarks of disrespect and contempt.

Because if you knew, you wouldn't be here lieing to our face about how apart from Bayern Munich, all other clubs in the Bundesliga are below to both the second half of the Epl and even to the championship teams as well.

You might want to type your next argument with stats while I bring mine.
l have had this argument too many times with people, even if the epl is competitive it does not mean it is better than laliga where only barca and madrid wins. It just shows there is a huge unbridgeable gulf between these two teams and the rest and the gulf does not make them inferior to epl teams because the 3 to 5th placed teams can actually be as good as the top teams in epl. People say Barca or messi cant survive in the epl and i wonder why cant he. Man city is barcas younger brother and its already setting records, Silva has been messing up epl defenders for years and with peps coaching he has become glorious. Out of 5 epls mancity will win 3 if pep stays that long.

And you know what's funny? Most righteous men in the bible were rich.

David
Daniel
Joshua
Abraham
Joseph
Job
Even our Lord Jesus Christ was not poverty stricken.

To serve God does not mean one has to be or stay poor. God's Blessings maketh RICH and added no sorrow says the bible.

For those of you that want to stay poor, knock yourselves out. I will have plenty so I can help out the less fortunate. After all, givers never lack.
There is no evidence to back this up. Some servants of God were rich but most were not. Jesus parents were poor and he was not financially better.

Meanwhile there are strikers who play in clubs that create chances and have very poor conversion rate. We saw Lukaku against Arsenal.

I am saying Iheanacho has high conversion rate. The reason he pulled stats that was up there with some of the best because of his conversion rate.

If Nacho is to maintain that kind of stat, he has to play in a team that plays possessive attacking football.

Carry Suarez and put in Leicester City, his goal conversion rate will not be as good as his normal rate. Nacho can adapt but the system is poor. He is better playing in a more offensive system. What is the problem in this statement?
There is absolutely nothing wrong in the statement just as there is nothing wrong in saying he should be more adaptive in his game, learn new tricks as they say and be less prone to coaches eccentricities.

Nacho can play in different Systems but a team that creates chances is best suited for his high conversion rate.
Every striker wants a team that creates chances, if he has a high converson rate as stats indicates then he does not need a team that creates so many chances. The man city team that nacho was scoring with ease in does not create as many chances as this present team. Pep however does not think he fits into his system, same way be feels about aguero. Many people say sterling has improved maybe in other aspects of his game but his conversion rate is still woeful but he has the luck or privilege of playing in a team where he can get 3 to 4 clear cut chances and 5 to 6 half chances. The only reason me thinks he is still highly rated by pep is that he fits into peps style. Versatility and adaptability will always remain a plus. Fabian delph came back almost from oblivion because he became adaptable to a new role.

see, those two players have gone beyond club games as far as Super Eagles goes. We now rate them based on National team performance

What are the two things we always say on this thread?

1) Club performance gets you attention AND invite to the National team

2) National team performance gets you a SPOT on the team

So, if you are performing for club and not performing for country, why do you deserve a spot?

As far as I am concerned, we should be rating those two guys on what they bring to the National team and not what they bring to their clubs and whether Kayode's manager likes it or not, Kelechi has done more for country than his boy.

In the game against Argentina, I even mentioned that Rohr seems to not like Kayode, I was supporting Forgiveness' earlier notion because I noticed Rohr doesn't give him minutes on the pitch. Back then, I was sympathetic to his plight sef, but not anymore

Forgiveness' juju must be working against Kayode, he needs to withdraw his support for the boy, maybe my guy will finally break into the team grin

Iheanacho's Move To Bristol City Is A Must Move

The education comes first. A player must play in an environment where he grows as a player. Another important reason is that the player must play in a system that suit him

Lee Johnson is a fan of fast, energetic, free flowing attacking football which is a style of football that will clearly suit Iheanacho.
a player who must play in a system that suits him must be prepared to be a journeyman except he is already a well established and accomplished player and even that is not a guarantee. coaches play their style amd wants players to fit in or ship out. some coaches change style to match opposition. so more versatile and adaptable players would get more game time.

was Kelechi not peforming under Guardiola? Yes or no?

When last did I complain about Leicester or the coach?

And how many times have we said here that club football is different from National teams? You think Rohr has the time to keep testing players that are not bringing anything to the table?

On this same thread, we have asked for the exclusion of Echiejile because he brings nothing to the table, is it because he has not performed previously? No, but he is not performing now and that is enough for some of us to ask for his exclusion and who are we using to replace him? Aina and Idowu

Echiejile is from my state, but I will be pained if Rohr drops Aina for him. So, it is you who is an ignoramus if you think this is about who is Igbo or Yoruba

Your brother, Kayode is not performing as it stands and does not deserve another chance, people will not even give Nwakaeme another chance, is he also Yoruba? Bear in mind, Nwakaeme is performing for his club, unlike Kayode that we cannot see anywhere, but I don't see you waving Nwakaeme's flag here

I at least thank God that you have now spoken what is on your mind, you think Nigerians believe Yoruba players are inferior to their Igbo counterparts, so, you continually put them against each other to prove the falsity in that.

Na small small people dey talk their mind for this place.
Good points, Nigerians from all regions have come to love and appreciate iheanacho for all the goals hehas given us in national teams. It would be suicidal for the coach to drop such a performer in the gwg and then replace him with a player that is not on everyones lips, who has not done much for the team. If the new player flops or makes normal mistakes the pressure on the coach would be massive, and people would believe we lost because of the player that was dropped. We are all political animals coaches can also be influenced by popular choice.
