I just got a hyundai sante 2015 GLS. It being driven from the port and the driver stopped for fuel and the car didnt start again. All the lights came up but the engine didnt kickstart, had to tow it home.

Rewire said it is the kickstarter. What do you think?

This is not new but very saddening that history is repeating itself. Culturally easterners seems to find it hard to sit, dialogue and sort out issues amongst themselves. It seems to be easier to just have a hot war than a cold war where things can still be sorted out in a less explosive fashion.
The issue of saboteurs racked the Biafran army and society so much that many seasoned professional soldiers and officers had to hide or their units taken over by less efficient and sometimes non-professional officers and units. The units were full of bluster and courage but badly disciplined and poorly led. Most of the saboteur cases were just propaganda and a way to mask the failures experienced by the Biafran army, the lack of preparation and lack of equipment. The distrust caused by Biafran govt seeing saboteurs everywhere led to disunity and everyone was under suspicion both military and civilians, even when the Nigerian army was at the border of towns, people could not flee because you would be called a traitor and saboteur. How can men fight effectively when your wife and kids are behind you, when they are prevented from fleeing to a safe place, when if you try to do that, you would be called a saboteur and killed with little or no evidence. It eventually caused far greater harm than good. Same is happening again

The world cup would have been meaningless with those basket cases we have as goal keepers, while our defence needs to be sort d out...the goal keeping department should be declared a national emergency.

We have been sent out of 3 tournaments in a row due to goal keeping errors or ordinariness. Keepers that are extraordinarily ordinary

Those are the stuff that would always send us out of tournaments...it was no brainer they were shielding the ball and expecting him to come..balogun had to put his lap to it to make it get to uzoho because he was flatfooted...then the ball could as well have accelerated away from the keeper..

Maduka has been making his own mistakes..both of them are too error prone..am not against either one of them...if the two of them are the best we can get...then the team has been zeroed...they will always be our undoing..they won't ever be able to keep you in a tournament...they will either concede cheap goals..make silly mistakes..or not just be able to pull spectacular saves repeatedly that would keep you in a tournament

There is absolutely no point, with these baskets we have in goal...it does not matter whether we get to the finals of the world cup or nations cup

I have said there is no point to going to any tournament if we don't have good goalkeepers.

Compared to many others that came before him or enyeama, he wasn't, I would even rate Carl ikeme higher but we didn't see enough of Carl.

Nobody hate Okoye but we need to say obvious....Maduka has not had any significant outing for eagles to justify that he is numero uno.

Nigeria have produced good national team keepers from Emma Okala,Peter Fregene,Joe Enrico,Amusa Adisa,Patrick Okala,Best Ogedegbe,Peter Rufai,Wilfred Agbonavbare,Vincent Enyeama and Carl Ikeme and I want to say I can only compare Alloy Agu to Okoye Maduka cos nothing spectacular about Alloy Agu throughout his career.....I remember how fans were always furious seeing Alloy Agu picked ahead of talented Christian Obi in Moscow 85 and when Westerhof came it was the same Agu but it was obvious he was not better.Good Agbonavbare came to the rescue during US 94 qualifiers and Rufai later made it as number one during Afcon and World Cup.

Truly Maduka is young but till today I still find it hard how equally young Uzoho with world cup experience lost out to fellow average keeper like Maduka with no single remarkable display in GWG.

I liked that you didn't add Ike shorounmu, because I never liked the guy. You must have assurance that a keeper should save your blushes often. But with okoye and uzoho at the present level they are operating, I can't ever have hope in us winning any tournament. Just a single mistake is all it takes and everything comes undone

There is no need for us to bother. We need a reliable goal keeper. We have been done in two afcons now due to these baby keepers we are parading

You missed the kernel of my point which is that the two can go together. The thrust of my submission is that at the time teams were not so consumed with statistics, did they not win? For example watch Zidane against Brazil in Germany 06. That was a magisterial performance yet he was highly effective. In fact the only goal of the match was orchestrated by him. And even during the Era I'm referring to, in a team of 22 players you'd find maybe just two or three who color the match with flicks and dribbles. It's not like the whole team is given to dribbling. But today we want to eradicate the few who play with flair and brand them as ineffective time wasters.

It's just a mindset to think that beauty in the way of artistic expression of skills and techniques need not be part of modern football. It has nothing to do with winning or effectiveness.

The most annoying thing for me is that, in modern football right in the 18 yard box, once a winger/player sees an opponent facing him, the next thing is to play the ball back to the midfield, then from the midfield to defence and back to the goal keeper..what worst example of timewasting do you have than that...they say they are looking for space..widen the field draw out players...just a single mercurial player can give you all in seconds.

Very pathetic kind of football...now I watch more nba...now that they have axed the floppings..it is getting more exciting...if a Nigerian am interested in is not playing..or a team that plays entertaining football..I don't waste my time watching drab football..why else would I watch if it is not entertaining...if they want goals..they should just turn all matches to penalty kicks...and they would have tons of goals.

Now I don't support any team, I just pick my teams and games and watch the ones that would entertain me..it's my time and money.
