We are looking for another transmission specialist as we are getting more work than we can handle with just one. must be able to REBUILD transmissions not just replace them.

meanwhile, go to advance Auto parts website. Any scanner there is available. Just don't go by the prices there.

I have gone through the link and I will rather buy Total Ineos than to buy any of these oils that you are advertising here. The 5w30 is an Api sl and it is petrol and diesel spec. Total is Api SN, Oando is Api SN but are diesel and gasoline spec. Api sl is still valid in most Toyota cars but SN is backward compatible. Honda cannot use the oil ditto Toyota as it is only eod that might use it but Eod needs gasoline engine oil only ditto Toyota.
For a European spec oil that is not meant for the US auto industry to be used in Nigeria that uses US automobiles, then it is dead on arrival.

Feel free to do the needful with Carquest oils

Most urban roads in Nigeria is flooded this rainy season, try and do the following -

Don't rev your engine on flooded roads, may suck water into your engine, allow your car roll as it steams

Get good wiper blades to improve visibility in the rainfall.

Avoid asbestos brake pads, loses grip in flooded terrains

Make sure drain channels in open roof vehicles are thrown open to avoid flooded cabins

Replace worn out weatherstrips (door chromes), the rubber lines on them prevents water from sipping into your door compartments and cause damage to your central locks.

Nice. Not to mention that asbestos is POISONOUS

Please what could be the reason for vehicle losing balance in speed, above 80 specifically. I have done wheel balancing and alignment like three times, changed the tyres and shocks. Plus could delay tune-up cause slight fuel consumption and engine running noise?

2010 Subaru legacy came in with a LONG history of repair. Single owner, purchased brand new.

And I paraphrase...

"Slow idling, the car jerks almost stalling. Great performance had deteriorated. Replaced fuel pump and when it did not improve the filter too. Car got better for a very short while and performance relapsed to what it was. New mechanic made it worse....had a tapping sound from the left side valves. During the process of gaining access to the troubles valves, the left side exhaust sprocket got damaged, had to bring for replacement before the job could be completed. tapping noise disappeared but repeated scan revealed advance timing issues and yet the car had no compression to move not to talk about accelerating. Had a to call another technician that said he has Subaru experience. He pointed out catalytic converter issue and got it done locally. The car can now accelerate but it still drags and jerk at low speed especially when the AC is on. It reduces when the AC is switched off.
Now I have some of my cluster lights on including check engine light and low oil for a car that was supposedly serviced with oil change last week.

Mystery power drain in a Toyota RAV4

This customer had changed his alternator, gone through two brand new batteries in four months and still had a battery drain problem. Car came in yesterday and took about 7 hours to figure out the problem. We stop charging at 4 hours (20k).

To add to the piece of advice elders on this hustle have given out several times, do not use just any car for this hustle ,be it Tokunbo or brand new, stick with the recommended brands :Toyota Corolla, Honda civic ,Honda city and Hyundai) .
I thought i was wise enough using a Ford Mondeo Tokunbo for e hailing despite all the warnings and pleads from people who've been on the hustle for over a year but i got my hand burnt.
The little money i earned on this hustle for just three weeks was spent on fixing the car ,even had to borrow from friends : AC Evaporator, Compressor, fan blower, Brake pads and Battery, now, it's the shock absorber, oxygen sensor and spare tyre despite minimal hours on the road. But i am taking the car back home before i go bankrupt.
This is the end of my e hailing journey.
I wish you guys all the very best and pray, life gets better for everyone.

The problem was not getting the car inspected prior to purchase

T-boned at front right passenger wheel and messed up a BUNCH of stuff. Damn near every possible light is on. Car looks like a Christmas tree! Plus I bought some oil when we were having delayed shipments and now I need new lifters.
