Hello weyreypey I need a bit of help, Mercedes Benz w211 E320 4matic ABS Wheel speed sensor (front left or right).

Woke up last week to ABS, ESP, malfunctions on the dash. Scanned, and got "front left wheel sensor implausible value". Car hesitates a bit (not very noticeable but I feel the transmission is struggling... Information no too complete for am to take make him mind up as to when to shift or change gears ), during kickdowns or abrupt braking.

Got some knockoff TIBAO speed sensor, fixed the issue/car automatically cleared the malfunction codes for 3 hours or so and came back in full. Drove back to the spare parts shop and changed it for a star clone - worked for a couple of days/again car automatically detects new speed sensor clears malfunction codes and brought them up again. Can't afford to order an original STAR fron Pelican now (sh*t is damn expensive and shipping will probably take at least 7-10 working days).

Can you help me place a call to your dealer for a toks STAR, HELLA, BOSCH unit for a 4matic? Not tibao, autokaf or any other clone that may lead to limp mode.

Anyone who's truly ready to make purchase will not have a prepared mind to look for who to blame even when a fault is not spotted. That's called Predetermined problem.

Problem never arise you don't create am.

And realistically, brand new car go visit store for normal check even within first few months, it's a normal maintenance! Not to talk of used one.

If all you have is 1.2m, you shouldn't be buying a car of 1.2m. How about the vehicle registration, cost of delivery to you in Abuja? And like someone mentioned, it's not a brand new car. Having one or two fixes to make even in a Tokunbo car is not unusual.

My advice, save a little more. Don't worry about losing this deal. When you have enough money, there will always be a better deal if you're patient enough.

On a serious note, it will cost you money to move it up to Abuja. Make sure tires and everything are alright before it embarks on the long journey. [/i]We no wan hear village people story[i]

Finally go to cartalk section and learn how to maintain a car. Whatever your Kazeem mechanic says always confirm it first from their.

Tbh, I assumed you were referring to the cats being removed, which shouldn't affect fuel economy.

Clogged up or damaged cats may affect mpg, though.

I've taken off the cats on both my Lexus ES330 and Infiniti G35 without any hit to fuel economy. I'm not just talking.

If his catalyst is clogged he would know from the performance.. Not just fuel economy



My bet is on Sensor or electronic related... Most probably 02 sensor

They do.. Depends on the car or manufacturer.. I know for sure on the 7th gen Accord with or without catalyst.. You still get the same MPG, the only negative is if catalyst is clogged

That's a huge money been spent son fuel consumption here.

Here's a brief.

That sensor, measures the volume of oxygen in the system, and converts that in some sort of voltage values for the ECU to use in order to attained a set air/fuel ratio balance. If the ECU sees less oxygen in the system from the O2S, it would command an increase in the injector pulse width(prolonged fuel supply):rich system.

PS: Here's an appeal to car owners with code readers.
Having a code reader read for trouble codes, does not equate to fixing a problem by replacing parts.
Code readers are there to narrow down the likely areas where you need to troubleshoot.

It's a Toyota avalon 2002. V6. 250K miles. The fuel consumption is now outrageous that I buy 4k fuel every day instead of normal 1k fuel usage each day.
I've scanned vehicle severally and it brought out p1135 code. I ordered the sensor from Amazon and put and the code kept showing. No improvement atoll in fuel economy. I disconnected my battery terminal and put it back no check engine lights but fuel consumption is still overboard.
Dunno what to do ooo! My car drives like jet, no issues at all just the fuel consumption.
I'm supposed to be doing 18 mpg but unfortunately I'm doing 8 mpg.
All moto gurus plz epp me ooo I lo e this car and dnt wanna sell now. Plz.
