With a lot of intentional misinformation being passed around the last few days, a couple of emails I received and my responses mysteriously disappearing into the ether as they tend to do on Nairaland, I felt it necessary to be VERY clear on this topic. SO! Where do our parts come from? OUR PARTS ONLY COME FROM ONE PLACE ADVANCE AUTO PARTS/WORLDPAC/CARQUEST DISTRIBUTION. WE DO NOT SOURCE TOKUNBO OR NEW PARTS FROM NIGERIA. CUSTOMERS ARE FREE TO SOURCE THEIR PARTS AND BRING TO US FOR INSTALLATION BUT WE WILL NOT SOURCE THEM EXTERNALLY. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PNNqshboyY When a store is owned by an individual, it is a Carquest. When it is owned by corporate, it is an Advance. That being said, Carquest/Advance owns many brands and carries over 200 lines both OEM and aftermarket. Anyone who knows anything about the auto industry and car parts knows that parts are made all over the world so the specific part will be made wherever the brand manufactures their parts i.e. Bosch=Germany, MOOG=Japan,Monroe=USA, etc. Hopefully this brings clarity to some with questions. If not, ask away! ![]()

seunoj:If it's up to 45k, delivery is free... |
mcvities:I think it's what Nigerians call mineral oil |
Jaydeehena:I'm here |
sacramento1212:About 10 hours. Stated on invoice. But he got it done under that. |
sacramento1212:Yup, labor was only N50,000. Rest was gear oil and transmission fluid.
|
Jaydeehena:I'll be there after 10am today. |
sacramento1212:If I remember it was about 100k but don't quote me on that. I'll try to find the work order and post it today. |
mcvities:Hello, you need to take it to a shop or friend with an OBD scanner to see what's causing the problem. I don't know about BEST but considering the age of your car, if it's over 100,000 miles and has not been abused with the wrong oil any decent synthetic or high mileage synthetic should do. Ours is N17,410 for the 5qt jug (you only need 3.9qt). Conventional is N10,152

timilehing:Hello, See specs below and yes we do have 5w30 conventional. http://weblink.carquest.com/acl/?mfgName=CQO&partNumber=CQ470 N4,878 per quart

I feel so like I finally found myself...

Example of how we bill. Customer gets an estimate like this and approves it before we ever begin work. No surprise billing here ![]() This job we weren't happy to do because the car had less than 50,000 miles on it!
|
TRYGO:I actually think it was intentional and/or carelessness by the people who previously worked on it based on the seal |
Jaydeehena:NL system said you sent me an email but I didn't get it. Can you call the shop and ask for me? Numbers are in my signature. |
princejones:? |
Jaydeehena:Email support@radautoworks.com or send me a DM through NL please |
Jaydeehena:What exactly happened let me try to fix it ![]() |

2014 (?) Mercedes GL was cutting off in motion. Frayed fuel pump wires were the culprit. Yet another customer who didn't have to buy any parts.
