How do you guys negotiate such cheap labour costs? Labour for Calabar na die - even Aunty Rad.autoworks dey learn work for their pricing mechanism. They charge you for labour based on vehicle make and model and perceived market price of part to be changed.

Ooo apologies,I didn't realize that. That's perfectly fine, I was foreseeing a situation where this thread will be bombarded with mechanics estimates. Shalom
Yeah, didn't want that either that's why I asked to put them elsewhere. This thread works as is.

Pls I have a question, can this response of yours be interpreted that any mechanic can come to this thread to provide estimate for vehicles that require mechanical repairs?
Reason for my question is because other mechanics might be interested in dropping their own quotes and this gives room for competitive pricing for potential customers. Shalom
I didn't ask to post on his thread. I asked to post on ours.

2006 Infinity M35x

Leaking power steering and exhaust

231k miles

N1.3m - purchase, shipping and clearing included
Power steering could be as cheap a fix as Power Steering Stop Leak Restores O-Rings and seals to stop and prevent power steering leaks http://weblink.carquest.com/acl/?mfgName=BAR&partNumber=1630 N3,549

Or as expensive as
Cardone Reman Power Steering Pump http://weblink.carquest.com/acl/?mfgName=PSC&partNumber=21-237 N109,584 5 year warranty labor 0.9hrs N4,500

Please note our quotes will be midway between a kazeem and a dealer i.e. you could probably do it cheaper with tokunbo parts and no warranties. We on the other hand are quoting using new parts with 6 month to lifetime warranties depending on the parts and 90 day labor warranties.

You get what you pay for.

Your request is very much in order and we are agreeable.

You can proceed with providing estimates for vehicles that require mechanical repairs (where necessary).
Cool. Thanks. Makes it easier to make purchase decisions.
Car Talk › Re: ......20w50 Oil Does More Harm To Your Engine if it is not needed ... by radautoworks: 8:02pm On Sep 16, 2019
ascendo:
Its not false advert... its like a HYBRID. Just like combining the features of the two ranges (GTX and Magnatec) in a single product. Thats just the secret.

GTX has its strength in fighting SLUDGE while magnatec has intelligent molecules as its strength. These clings on the bodies to be lubricated even when the engine is off for a long time. Thus, at the first motion of your engine mechanisms, there is protection from the start.

This is the authority on oil and *cough* Carquest ranks higher than gtx. Not much different from Mobil 1 high mileage either

Do you do undercarriage rust repairs?
No we don't because it's considered body work which we do not currently do and could be as intensive as cutting and welding if it's really rusted out.

The hybrid has 228k miles while the LE has 195kmiles
Seeing this, don't buy either car. Wait for lower miles.
Car Talk › Re: 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid Vs LE by radautoworks: 8:03pm On Sep 15, 2019
Tnycee:
I want to have informed advice and opinions about which trim of the 2007 toyota camry trims to go for.
I currently have option of the LE and hybrid with average mileage of about 200k miles at roughly same price.

I want to know which would serve me better with low maintenance and high reliability. Personally would have preferred the hybrid cos it's a full option with keyless entry, but I have concerns about about AC shutting off automatically while driving to preserve power and cost of replacement of battery.

I would appreciate informed opinions as this is going to be my first car...

MOD please kindly move to front page for more input. Thanks.

Cc: GAZZUZZ, nurey, radautoworks
Hybrid. With the exception of S, trim is mostly a cosmetic thing. The question is gas or hybrid and if you're forward thinking, hybrid. Also, AC not affected by hybrid engine.

Yes, i was with him. He drained the oil that came with it and poured in the Mobil 1.
But then again, when they brought the car in July, i observed that the bonnet was hot, so i called the attention of the dealer and he said the car has to work to an extent before the cooling fan starts working but i was not pleased as i was scared that the car might develop fault if it gets too hot , so i told the mechanic to make sure the cooling fan start working immediately i put on the engine which he did by just connecting one of the wire to the bonnet but he did not remove the thermostat because he warned me not to allow anyone tamper with it.
That's one of your problems right there. Also, not allow to allow anyone to tamper with it while he has tampered the hell out of it huh
