Lol ... very dumb of you... you think Japan is like China .. Japan is one of the homogenous country in the world .. They dont open up their " border " to foreigner .. It is very hard for foreigners to get citizenship, and if they do they have to choose a Japanese last name...
Also Japan has a population problem, better yet aging population.. Meaning the amount of old people is almost the same as young people... Due to the fact that Japanese women usually give birth to two kids maximum.. Their women are not having kids. It is huge problem in Japan till now.. If Japan could open up their " border " to accommodate foreigners and relax their immigration policy, it might increase their population rate.
Japan is literally a small country, space wise more or less like an island.. Everything is very small from cars ,houses etc.. But they are good in maximizing space ... Japan in terms of technology they are well advice .. Japan is way ahead of China and very lovely country.. Getting visa to go to Japan is not like getting visa to China.. Anybody can get visa to China ,but Japan is very strict... I don't know about other countries, but USA citizens can go to Japan with no visa for three months, anything more than that u need visa...
Ps.. Back in the days I use to load parts in Japan, in a town called chiba .....

This is my final post to you bro... I like to back up what I say and do. Have been to Japan few times ..but u have never been there before.. Get up your feet and motivate.. Educate yourself and think before u talk .. Get your facts in order. From day one on this forum. I always back up what I say or do.. Am not here to impress anybody.. But if u have not travel or did or do what have done. I cant take what you say or do seriously ....Travel to Japan first ,and than we can have a conversation...

1st check for rodent infestation (check if wires have not been chewed by rats).
2nd Check coolant and oil level.
3rd Empty the old fuel and pour fresh fuel.
4th. Check your fuel pump if it's still okay.
5th. Check the belts for cracks.
6th. Inflate tyres or change.
7th Check the brakes if they're stuck to the wheels.
8th. Disconnect the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine after you must have charged the battery. It will help pump oil to the top of the engine since engine has been sitting down for so long. It's best to play safe and listen to the sound of the engine while cracking since engine had fault earlier.
9th. If all is fine, reconnect fuel pump fuse and start the car.

Try as much as possible to get comprehensive insurance, don't ignore warning lights on your dash board, use ONLY recommended fluids, ask for clarification on issues first especially here before rushing to any mechanics, don't allow any mechanic use your car for experiment, driving is one mind so no fear. We have proven engineers/mechanics on this forum with a reputation to keep, please use them.

NEVER GIVE YOUR CAR TO YOUR YOUNGER BROTHER. He won't return it that day lai lai.

Is this the updated part from Honda? Hope it wont fail again after say 2 years. Read reviews were users complained that part still failed after some time.


To be specific, Honda bulletin highlighted the part number 14310-R44-A01 (that failed) should be replced with part number 14310-R5A-305. My question is if the replcement part you posted is the updated part Honda recommends?

Hello folks...

Following my concern about the about the observation of a brief rattle sound on cold start.I am happy to give a feedback on the issue.

While thanking everyone for their insightful contribution,which I followed through accordingly.I employed the use of the recommended oil for the engine and I was amazed when it started without the rattle sound.Engine currently sounds like new.I noticed from some pm's I got some people do have this same issue.

Like Gazzuzz advised,the vvti engine is very sensitive and doesn't tolerate abuse of recommended oil.Ensure you use the appropriate oil to prolong the life of ur engine and also improve performance.

So I guess the failing part has to be replaced with brand new parts right? Any idea on cost?
