Inception:
Why was it torn apart? misfire?
No idea. It wasn't even running. Customer just told us it had been torn apart twice but didn't understand the tech jargon given to justify it. We didn't tear it apart. It was pretty obvious what the problem was.

Will definitely put up the review.

It was a leak in the condenser so the refrigerant was low.
Almost always a leak, just a matter of where. Mechanics tend to throw parts at it rather than find the leak. They found it using UV refrigerant didn't they or was it obvious?

And thanks.

How much do you resurface rotors.
N4,000 each if within specs.

sultaan:

If it is still within the acceptable thick it is perfectly legal in the industry those limits about the minimum thickness of the rotors have been tested by the industry
. If something else was causing the rotors to warp in the first place that is a different issue. When you replace brake pads you want to remove contaminants by turning to get to a new surface. If your cheap brakes only last 2 years you don't want to be changing rotors every 2 years
Exactly

thats a dangerous thing to do to skim a worn our disc especially the one on the photo, the outer side of the disc is completely gone, there is no life left in it

the moment you machine a worn out disc your weakning its structure allready worn out by general wear which happens when breaking, there is nothing to skim on the disc it will too thin you are actaully putting your life at risky

a thin disc will heat up quickly and the disc will warp and it wont be effective at breaking and will damage your break pads, worse scenario it will break apart
The one we machined was within spec to be eligible for machining or we wouldn't have done it. There was a brake job done at the same time.

You're comparing a performance car to an executive one. The 3.7L VQ is unforgiving of regular fuel, you'll immediately get a drop on performance and efficiency the moment you use regular. Probably will get pings too.

Non-AMG Mercedes are a lot more tolerant. Try putting regular in an AMG, see the difference.

A solution, I suppose.
Very true

Tbh, diesels are preferred in Europe. Sending you one without telling you first is pretty shady, though.

Oh, well, harm's done. Why not go Japanese this time around? Join the G35 gang. cheesy

G37 would be even better but it requires (not recommends) premium fuel. No luck with that here.
Manageable with use of regular fuel treatment. That's what we do in my family.

Was blown away frankly. Guys, you have to be there and see it to believe it. Service is similar to what obtains in the better places overseas. Communication is friendly, and the issues are patiently explained to you.

Please keep this up radautoworks and team. Let this total experience you offer be your minimum level of service delivery even with the soon to be deluge of customers you're surely going to be having.
cheesy Thanks. It will be even better when I get back over there. Now please do me a favor and put that on Google or Facebook reviews grin

2010 BMW 325i brought in not running with expectation of engine replacement. Teardown revealed just a broken camshaft bolt in engine head. No engine replacement required.

By now you've probably seen this one elsewhere on Nairaland. Was previously quoted 300k for an engine replacement on a Toyota Highlander. Turned out part of the problem was someone had put TOOLS in the engine (pic 1) and used poor quality gaskets (pic 2 & 3) as part of a previous repair!

Was repaired by us with a 6 month warranty on parts and labor for 113k.

Most recent is these brake pads off a 2009 Ford Explorer. Please do not let your brakes look like this before you replace them. You love Jesus but you can wait to visit him at home.

Personally I dislike the heat in Houston. I dont live there but I have friends who live there and all they gripe about is the damn summer heat. I dont function well in hot climes especially with the sticky humidity messing up your asss. Dang.

I would have love the Midwest but racism is all too real there. Maybe the East coast especially Illinois or maybe Chiraq would do me some good.

Any idea what goes on in Minnesota,?
Definitely hot but that's what I love grin

Don't worry, I don't sell rims grin with the commission corrosion he's describing I don't think your solution is long term but it's worth a shot as it's cheaper. Structural integrity of the rim is suspect.

You need to replace rim. Safety hazard.
