For crying out loud, what does this refute? I worked for two dealerships. It's off lease vehicles , insurance and trade-ins predominantly. I swear I lose brain cells every time I converse with you. Uber thread is calling you.

Also, the "owner" in your example was most likely a dealer SMH.

Try the link again ...yes those 2000 models cars are coming from USA. But a lot of them will not pass inspection test my brother.. It will cost more to fix it so people rather sell it ..keep in mind rust is also a big problem on some cars.. For naija level and cost of labour those cars will last another few more years in naija if the car is well taken care of ..
And also the auction cars ,why do people sell their cars to the auction.. In some cases the car is either too old or the cost of fixing it outweighs the value of the car ..sometimes u can get good deal too.. And nobody wants to buy high mileage car, so before that 10 year period the car will loose value.. The car might be in good mechanical shape, but the value of cars in USA is Base on millage...
Auction cars are mostly insurance or off lease not individually owned

"General, however, people don't really keep their cars forever. Research by R.L. Polk says that t he average age of a modern vehicle is 11.4 years, while the average length of time drivers keep a new vehicle is 71.4 months -- around 6 years. So even if you plan to own a car forever, the statistics are against you. You might get in an accident, you might start to have expensive issues or you might simply decide it's time to upgrade to a newer model."

That is NOT the same as what you were implying.

Well I do apologise to a certain point.. Am using the American thinking on the Nigerian way ..which is very wrong..well off to my point, most cars build in USA usually have a life span ,let's say 10 years the most ..and those cars are now either been sold or exported to different countries.. And the reasons are too many, but one thing for sure, those cars are more or less expire and they have reached their limit...
Please stop spreading misinformation. This is FALSE.

We can agree to disagree.. What we need to be pushing here is how to prevent rebuild... if we do the rite maintenance on our cars ,than the engine will last longer and we won't have to talk about rebuilt.. Even if the car is well taken care of , the car should be sold before it gets to that point.. Everything has an expire date now...

I can chime in a little on this. There is no direct answer to your question. In general, there will be ups and downs in sticks/mutual funds. It all depends on what kind of portfolio one has. I have had more ups than downs. It's always good to hold your funds for the long term. Also, you can either go through a brokerage firm or open an pereonal brokerage account with the likes of Ameritrade, fidelity, etc. and do the transactions on your own. I have both.
Agreed

the funny thing is stop embarrassing yourself. How can you supply power you don't have lol
Maybe research the topic first before coming at me. Google is your friend in the absence of insider knowledge. I'll even help you out. Start in 2007.

Also, general advice, don't be a butthole. There are ways to disagree with people without being a condescending butthole. Boy, bye.
