I did some background check on your carquest synthetic 3w50 and there's talk of it being manufactured by valvoline. how true is that an what warranties do you give for your synthetic oil? Finally, whats the cost and what brands of spark plugs, air filters and A/C refridgerants in your stock?

I suspect that for the Jeep, a lot of the parts will be 6-10 day delivery as Jeep is not a huge brand here so we didn't bring in a lot for Jeep upfront.

For some of your answers, the N3,500 was stated labor only. You would have to pay for your filter and oil.

Noone warranties oil. You can take a look at the specs on the MDS sheet for the different oils. Carquest, depending on the weight, is Amalie or Valvoline formulated. All Carquest synthetics are fully synthetic and not blends. If you don't want Carquest, we can bring in other brands but my whole family uses Carquest for cars that include Acura, Mercedes, Lexus, Toyota and Nissan.

For car part questions, please give VIN of vehicle or be more specific about engine size, etc as it applies for the parts you need.

Is crude or petroleum by product not part of tires anymore?

hmmm well when you put it like that U r right, but you see this argument has ben going on for God knows in loads of threads around the world, Tyre manufacturers say go with wear indicators, tyre fitters say go with age limit, who do you listen to? In the EU we check for thread wear and the tyre marker as a means of deciding if a tyre is road worthy. If your thread goes to that level even if your tyre was made last night, you will get points in ur licence.

I believe this was where we got our wires tangled when I was talking about fairly used tyre market in the UK.U remember I said its a big mkt here in the EU.
In the Uk after seat belt, the next safety check is your tyre thread limit. If you look closely all tyres have a wear indicator, look at yours this morning closely you will find it.

Tires are made with organic products. They deteriorate over time whether you use it or not. Like EgunMogagi said, anything over six years old used or not is unacceptable.

They don't check that in Texas. At annual inspection maybe but it's really about emissions here.

I did not say expiration date. I simply said date and what I meant was the date of manufacture. It was restamped with a newer manufacture date.

However, it should be noted that European recommendations must include driving conditions that include roads like the German Autobahn, which allows vehicles to be legally driven at their top speeds for extended periods of time.

While American driving conditions don't include the high-speed challenges of the German Autobahn, Chrysler, Ford Motor Company and General Motors have joined their European colleagues by recommending that tires installed as Original Equipment be replaced after six years of service.

It is important to take into account Original Equipment tires are mounted on wheels and put into service right after being received by vehicle manufacturers, so their calendar age begins immediately. However, the same cannot be said of tires properly stored in a tire manufacturers' warehouse or in Tire Rack distribution centers before they go into service.

The current industry association recommendations regarding inspecting and replacing tires due to age originate outside the United States.

The British Rubber Manufacturers Association (BRMA) recommended practice, issued June 2001, states, "BRMA members strongly recommend that unused tyres should not be put into service if they are over six years old and that all tyres should be replaced ten years from the date of their manufacture.""

I only but my tires here form TireRack.Com, they are a huge company and ships thousands of tires per week so I am ensured that the tires they sell are fresh.

The Bolded does not happen, tyres do not have expiring date. Rather it is measured by wear and tear, you said you lived in the states, has anyone ever stopped you or anyone you know to check the manufacturing date of your tyre?

Actually, tires are no good after a certain age so technically, while they are not stamped with expiration dates, tires with older manufacturing dates are no good any more. The tires were bought by mother who knows nothing about cars so she didn't know to check.

I would go with the silver brakes for your car. Yes, it's a different warranty but you won't need it either way. The quote is the same for a four cylinder for the brakes. Unfortunately we are not delivering yet. You can however have someone pick up for you. I'm not sure how you would get the installation done with us that way though

It was a hard pill for me to swallow too when I converted but people earn Naira not Dollars so I couldn't use the same metrics we do over there (though $85-105/hour is mighty nice and i'm going to miss it). Same labor rate across the board unless it's specialty work. We can always go up if need be. Much harder to come down. We're not out here trying to make a killing on single transactions. We are trying to build loyalty and to revolutionize.
