dru23: Well my contest is that drivers can gross 800k whether nay net or gross .....
I think Jpworld point his trying to make is that drivers are making money especially during this festive period.. So because of that he can increase rental delivery.. Things are going up due to inflation etc .. Parts are expensive and import items are gone through the roof .....
Every investor has to adjust accordily, I don't plan to increase my rental at all, whether rain or shine I will stick to between 20k to 25k and I will do 100% of maintenance.
That is my own business model ,but I will not take any excuse from any drivers that messes up .. The things about me is that am equally as nasty as I am nice.. I am extreme to that level ..
Any driver that works for me and cant succeed under my business model, will need to go and appease the gods and his/her village people .....what works for me ,might not work for others....
PS.. Jpworld sent me all the evidence of ownership of all his cars. 11 in total and also his DL included. So I believe him.. His information is too sensitive to post online, he only send it to me because he trust me ........
So Friday lets us appreciate the highest earners. And the ones that are able to break down their expenses should get your 50k naira prize ... till Friday we shall wait Dru, I respect you because you keep your word but not that is NOT what jp said. Not then, not now, not ever. If he had said what you said above there wouldn't have been as big a backlash. Stop making excuses for him. He has broken every single agreement be has ever made on this forum yet tries to be everyone's police. He is a joke. Please don't put yourself next to him because it diminishes you. Which reminds me, since we were recently talking about drivers adhering to the contract, is it in the contract that he can arbitrarily change the rental fee at any time if he feels they are making more?

Olayetan: to be sincere, I didn't put all my time into that earnings, I sometimes don't work at all in 2days and there's always a day I take off in every week, I work just from 6am to 12noon and rest till 5pm before coming out to work till later at night which sometimes I close by 10pm or 11pm. it's only weekends I put in most efforts. check out this my weekly earnings I am even okay with just listing out your expense for the two months. The other drivers can tell if the expenses are reasonable or not. |

I kept seeing highest earner. Which made me join the thing. Next thing I'm seeing post expenditure, break down, bank statement.... Say who die?
If I can save 800k in two months, what can 10k from an anonymous forum contributor do for me?
If 10k is for highest earner, fine. See below. The genesis of the challenge was to SAVE 800k in two months hence the request for a statement. Always find the full story before you start mouthing off. Now you see why you shouldn't have been so cocky in your previous posts.

deedee44: I have an office job paying 200k monthly.
I hear uber drivers make 800k in 2 months.
I came to this thread and saw dashboard of over 800k true true.
I quit my job at the end of the month (December) and used all my savings to buy a car to be driving myself with the hope of doubling my salary.
I start driving in January but gross 200k (net 110k) at the end of the month.
Subsequent months, gross increase to averagely 320k (net 170k) every month
Then i realize that the 800k is only for December rush with mad surge, and after commission and fuel money are deducted, it is actually around 460k net for the 2 peak months.
Then I come back to nairaland to swear for the person that posted his dashboard without explaining the deductions and the stress I have to go to before I can achieve it.
Now instead of my dream of 100% increment in income, I'm stuck with 15% decrement plus hard labour. (Yes, driving up and down for over 12 hours daily, 6 days in a week is hard labour. You'll age with speed)
This is the best way I think I can explain why it is misleading to just post dashboards with high earnings without tobacco-like warning. Gbam |

Olayetan: how can you get a corresponding bank statement of that earnings, it's not possible.
we do both cash and card trips and some cash trips are paid through transfer so how do you get to understand the bank statement with all the transactions that took place in my account. If I can manage a large company's bank statement I can figure it out On a serious note it doesn't take a genius to see multiple small amounts and figure out they are trip payments. The amounts cash or not will match your dashboard earnings. If dashboard says 100k one week, there should be corresponding payments totalling about that much is it not? Factor in a percentage of error for actual cash in hand that was never deposited and it should be close. And yes, we are factoring in that it takes a few days to get your money after the week. I told you my teacher cap is on. Whether 800k is possible or not is beside the point. This is about learning money management. Have you ever wondered why it seems like no matter how much some people earn they are always broke? Some drivers here are living beyond their means without realizing it. Others are not maximizing their income and could have probably achieved so much more. Yet others are making what sem to be massive incomes but only actually making less than 25% of what they work for. Which one are you? On the flip side some investors think this is a gold mine and want to jump in. It may well be under the right conditions but what are those conditions? Other investors have misconceptions about driver's earnings vs take home. This exercise will shed some light. New year, new mindset. |

kanuisagoat: I'm guessing the emboldened is directed at me. You need to understand that people drive on bolt for various reasons.
Now to why I started driving on bolt. I have a project that needs to be completed next year and the only way that will be possible is if I save the whole of my salary over the next 12 months.
We have two vehicles in the family. One is a "status" V6 that I use and the other a corolla my wife uses. I decided to hand over the one I use to her and register hers on bolt and drive myself since my work kind of gives me enough free time.
The plan was to survive on whatever bolt brings in over the next 12 months so I can save 100% of my salary. I'm not really running this as a full time business and I don't care about those profits, losses, revenue, earnings, expenses or whatever the business term is.
All I care about is that everything I spend for the next 12 months must come from Bolt. Then my guy you are still a beginner in the game of life. It applies to running your household too. |

I'm tired of the excuses so I'm in teacher mode today.
I'm going to amend my previous offer.
Post your bank statement from Nov1-Dec31 along with your dashboard. Drivers know what the accounts that deposit from all the e-hailing companies are right? We take those payments, add any cash payments, subtract fuel and data. If it is 800k, I will give N50,000. I will also make you a P&L statement that might give additional information on how to operate more efficiently. EDIT: I forgot sacrifices to keep the SARs, LAWMA and other demons at bay as part of necessary business expenses.

What you guys are forgetting is the goal is to HAVE 800k in the bank. If you are saving 60k for winter then do you really have 800k or 740k? Also, whoever posts should account for their expenses that period. At the very least fuel, maintenance, sacrifices to keep the SARs, LAWMA and other demons at bay and data records should be posted as they are expenses needed for the job. Food is not a primary business expense and tastes vary so that can be excluded.
Not keeping track of expenses is not an excuse and terrible business practice. How do you know what you make if you don't keep track of spending? You should have a log book where you keep track. No business ever grows without knowing where its income goes to the kobo. Take care of the kobos and the Nairas will mind themselves. Business 101.
In conclusion, now that dru is in, I know someone will definitely get paid 10k [s]so I join dru to match 10k IF poster also accounts for their expenses. I will also throw in two synthetic oil changes.[/s] AMENDED IN LATER POST TO 50K WITH T&C SHOW US YOUR BUSINESS EXPENSES! |

Can you give tips on proper installation of A/c compressor ..... 1) right amount of oil in the right hole 2) system is clean (flush condenser and evaporator core if not changing) 3) don't overfill freon 4) DO NOT USE NIGERIAN FREON 5) forgot to mention vacuum the system because that is a given As far as the one you already installed, have then put the guages on and report back the measurements and we'll go from there.
