IceColdVeins: Would you recommend the volvo s80 v8 2009 please? I wouldn't do a v8 in Nigeria. V6 is peppy enough and the traffic and fuel we have here even with additives negates the point of a v8. |

Pearl1910: Interesting...How do we verify expenses cos the only thing that's verifiable is your dashboard Revenue and Net now that I don't have an answer for except you guys might be able to tell when someone is not putting the truth? |

I've got a thought for you guys. Everyone put an amount each month maybe 1k. Driver who makes the most after expenses takes the pot reach month. You'll be surprised what you can accomplish when motivated. |

obalala: I currently use a Pruis will be 2 yrs next month in Nigerian roads no major fault and I haven’t spent one dime on “the Kazeems” .. had a challenge at first in finding the right mechanic when I needed to do oil change but all that is story now..if you’re very observant you will notice more Pruis cars in lagos roads of recent “don’t they know the battery is expensive? Why are pple Shipping it more into 9ja? Every time I go for servicing I see loads of Pruis Uber drivers there (next time I go will snap) in btw my colleague at work has been using his Pruis since 2016 and only changed 2 battery cells till date.. . I can’t vouch for other Hybrids but Pruis remains a King.. THANK YOU |

Pearl1910: Omo I drive reserve o... Sometimes its because I never reach my preferred fuel station or unexpected long distance trip in the night but most times mehn...na because that fuel money they pain to comot...man go feel like to use breeze or water to they drive around look at it this way. Either way you are going to buy fuel so just pretend quarter tank is E and if you ever have any emergency or long trip no shaking. Also, for safety reasons. |

Car Talk › Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by radautoworks: 3:21pm On Jan 05, 2021 |
FineUsername: Thank you Kingreign.
Also I'm confused on engine oil to use, this is because when the car arrived Nigeria October last year, it was serviced in Lagos before delivery.
It's almost due for service now @30% & 4k+km since last serviced. I know the recommended oil is SAE5w20 but I don't know whether it's the recommended oil that was used in servicing the car. I reached the mechanics that service it but they don't seem to remember.
This is where my fear is: if the vehicle was serviced with maybe 5w30 and I now use 5w20 will it give me issues.
Same Honda Civic 08 and is in perfect condition.
Thanks.
Cc: radautoworks Gazzuzz HeavenlyBang kingreign Nurey Luvinhubby No harm done for one oil change. Just use recommended going forward. FYI your car does not require synthetic oil so you can use even a good conventional 5w20 if you choose.

Duke111: I too much like the way Felicity dey explain things, experience teaches you well than talk of mouth.
1k fuel can actually carry u from oshodi to Lekki and back with ac on. To me i feel most drivers don’t know how to drive i.e accelerating, braking and maneuvering, if u can’t master this u are not a driver.
Some just love stepping on the gas down to d metal and step on brake wen they are close to stopping point and expect good fuel consumption.
The way people Fire their Corolla at the stoplight turning green i wonder what is chasing them, especially wen your car is not a racer car.
Na To drive Prius or Honda Civic hybrid de hungry me.
Please guru in the house @dru24, radauto, and those that have used it before to throw more light on the cars mentioned above I’ll really appreciate. Thanks Prius is undisputed king of hybrids. Unless you have tesla money (yes, I know it's not a hybrid) |

Felicity0001: Boss if that 1k no carry them come back with the AC on oooh then something is not right with the combustion system.
The honda civic can go an average of 44miles with a reserve tank.
Honda accord can do an average of 46miles on reserve.
I don't just speak without experience... I've done Akure to Benin on a reserve tank... That day I understood the real meaning of "heart in once mouth". But without AC ooh. That was when I knew how far reserve can go on a civic.
Also, I've done about 25km on a V6 Honda Accord as well on Ore-Benin Exp b4 I could refill my reserve tank.
Yes, just remembered another... Corolla 2003 model I did reserve tank from Ajah bridge to Abule egba. 11:35pm, O2 sensor on the car was even bad at the time. Na fuel pump you just dey play with anyhow |

chucsmoore: if your prices are Ok in comparison to what my IGbo brothers are selling at Ladipo I wouldnt mind, I was there lastweek, everything is X2 of the price. I went with 100k hoping to buy many things to fix my car. The money only bought me 4 things Pere: Rear light,@35k, 4 Grade A Tokunbo tyres,@ 40k 10k each with expiry date intact. Front Grill @15K and Car accessories 10k. Everything 100k. Inflation in this country is in another level. Like I said if your prices are good. I might end up fixing my shocks at your work shop. 2mao am going for painting at Maryland I can never be Ladipo price I know that much but if it was my parts you bought last time you wouldn't be having to pay this time (2yr warranty) what parts is it you still have to buy? |

chucsmoore:
. I swear the blood is really tempting but I ain't working till 21st of January. My car is in bad shape as a result of Xmas hustle. Side mirror broken, Tyres worn out, Scratches and dents all over the body, front grill broken, brake pad worn out, Rear light damage, shock absorber gone, linkage, ball joint, bushing spoilt. Bulbs for headlight not working. Engine vibrating, infact alot things to put inorder. 300k for all these repairs. Las Las my car will bounce back This is exactly what I was talking about with expenses incurred making the 800k so you have to have made 1.1m to save 800k. What car do you have and when last did you replace each of those parts if you don't mind me asking? |

Frenliwis: Hi guys, I have been thinking of getting a new car lately and I have Corolla 07 and matrix 010 in mind. Considering the fuel efficiency and cost of maintenance, which one will you advise me to go for?
Thank you Matrix. Newer, mostly same the parts, not a thief magnet like the Corolla and more space. |

Felicity0001: This will be difficult especially for those of us on rental due to changes...
But my first car last yr I can still remember we did the first oil change @ 162,702mile (I hope I'm not mistaken), January 20-26th, 2020, then I started using after like a week or there about.
2nd Oil change was done sometime around July I supposed at around 172,800+ figures. ( I changed phone within these time so I lost some photos but will check my mail and revert with pictures).
P.S: within this period i.e from Jan 28th to August 19th there was Covid-19 lockdown so car didn't work for some months.
After that, I'd used other cars which I did about 10,000 miles within a month.
Present car started @100,678miles and presently at about 167k+ miles. Over what period of time? |
