HeavenlyBang: Truth be told, reading that again, it doesn't sound like OP is ready to own any of these cars. I'd be surprised if there are up to 300 current-gen Camaros across Nigeria. While the Challenger has been in production for a long time now, parts actually have changed along the line--as my boss, Eddee, will tell you.
I was at the verge of buying a Cadillac ATS two months ago, which is essentially a sedan version of the current Camaro. After market survey, I promptly ditched the idea. Parts no dey.

HeavenlyBang: The Camaro is an actual sports car these days. The Challenger is a boat. What the Challenger wins in is presence, those things are massive.
I'd personally take the Camaro. As with all things American muscle, the V8 is the only thing worth buying. and I'll take the charger over both |

PaulH07: So happy you atleast vouch for the X5 even tho I'm not too keen on it, cos of it's gigantic size.
What about the BMW 3series? I'm in love with 'em '06 series and above. Which model would you prescribe I buy?
And ofcourse you can be rest assured I'll be your customer once I hit Lagos. I'm all for quality, and your thread epitomizes it... If you're okay with a sedan the 3-series is a much better choice. Just make sure to have it lifted and thoroughly inspected for leaks because motor is tilted to the side and tends to leak from valve cover gasket. Also get it scanned first. You should be okay though if it passes inspection. Take your pick. |

I would have to look for another mechanic cos he's already talking about changing the Valve. Saying that was the culprit that affected the nozzle. Before you change another part, what code did you get? If the answer is "we haven't scanned it", stop and scan first then come back. |

Eddee: Herein lies the challenge. For example the stealerships here are just rebranded kazeems. I remember my ordeal at the hands of Mandilas, Calabar for an ordinary Lexus IS. I doubt with that kind of attitudinal disposition towards effective repairs they will break-even without having to rely on sharp practices.
Abuja is a given. Lovely place with less tax intrusions as Lagos, and actual people who can pay to fix their cars properly. P.H is also up there, plenty servicing firms that can be pre-qualified for long term framework agreements in respect to their vehicles repairs and maintenance. Enugu has a lot of dealerships already. Don't know much about Ibadan, been there once. Oron-Ikot Ekpene-Eket all have lots of millennial millionaires courtesy of Oil drilling and servicing firms too who will always converge in Uyo. It's a very small and linear state, which means one dealership in Uyo is within an hour reach of most of your customers. Thanks for the insight. What I've discovered since moving back is that the average Nigerian business doesn't understand the power of customer loyalty. The goal is to make a killing off each customer at all costs that's why your bolded. That's why it's been so hard for us to find franchisees. The philosophy is very different. And we expect franchisees to abide by it. Which reminds me..

Radautoworks is NOT a mechanic. She's a solution provider. I repeat she's NOT a mechanic.
Autologic...Baba scope...na disguise... FINALLY!! HE GETS IT! I know a lot about cars but I'm NOT a tech. My HUSBAND Glen is! An ASE certified master tech of 35 years! Most of what I know I learnt from him, some from my uncles the rest from owning shop in Houston and learning some tricks from my techs. I don't have room left in my brain to learn much else! Book too plenty. That being said,I can run circles around most of the "techs" I've seen in Naija and on NL |

kaze4blues: Mechanic replaced the relay sensor in my Honda accord DC after the fan stopped working.
Although the fan is working now after the replacement, he advised that I add another relay sensor to make it two.
I don't know whether to take his advice or not.
What effect can another relay sensor have on the car?
Thanks |

Eddee: Very valid points chief. After P.H, Uyo has my money - not even Calabar apart from the sentimental attachment. Enugu won't do badly either (they have dealerships ranging from Mercedes to Kia), but Uyo shows promise. Just like Calabar they have some stealerships scattered here and there but Uyo has the top mulla. Thanks for the insight.. is have never thought of Uyo. We are thinking 2 more locations in Lagos State, one each in Ibadan, Abuja, PH, Enugu and the rest up in the air. |

Eddee: We wasted a ton shit of money on a club last year (haven't still recovered from that financial loss). I'll make a case for Calabar and Uyo (leaning heavily towards the latter), assuming the cost for franchising falls between 10m - 15m? Not even looked at equity and or working capital? Wahala dey! I wish it could but it won't. It's hard to find a business that has as good as ROI as this in Nigeria but it requires an active, honest, attentive owner |
