confirm first that the fault is actually what you think it is. I use same car(manual tranny) and i wasn’t sure of my car fault though I was told I may have to change the engine by some people till it was diagnosed correctly by BlackBishop and car works fine for now. You can contact him via his moniker and have him check it out for you.

Assuming but not conceding that the fault is actually your engine, i will say ring it if you have someone who will do a competent job. Note that Not just anyone can ring an engine as Disassembling is easy while Fixing and reassembling na d koko.

I did research on this conundrum of yours and I can say that there is a high chance your Tokunbo engine is just another engine that was ‘ringed’ or ‘primed’ to work for a while. There is also the chance if bought, it could serve you very well if due diligence is carried out before purchase. Use a competent mechanic if you do decide to buy a fairly used engine. Wifey’s 07 Lexus es350 landed in February and was serviced with mobil1 5w30 extended performance oil high mileage oil. The one that guarantees 15k miles.
I also used original oil filter.

Car is currently at 4.5k miles after servicing. Should I service again cos it’s already been 8 months since the last service?

I just ringed my Honda Pilot 2008, the car was consuming oil. There is no problem with the car prior to ringing the engine except the high oil consumption. Can I revert to the recommended oil or I should stick with the 20w 50 have been using.

The number do not always say exactly what is going on in the segment but show a trend based on several factors.
1. Covid season cause a reduced sales number compare to last year quarterly sales. Agreed
2. Some models like Edge and Highlander are new body styles so if they mess up the body like the Edge that looks more like Escape, sales number will drop because now it looks like a woman's car unlike the 2012 version. Believe it or not, women account for more suv sales
3. Palisade, and Telluride are new to the segment and taking sales away from others. Agreed
4. Grand Cherokee is in the last year of this current body style that has been used since 2011 so sales drop buyers will rather wait for next year new style. Not a big factor.
5. Passport, Venza, Blazer are all brand new models so they are positive. No, these are NOT new models
6. Murano, and Edge were the main competitors in that class until Passport and Blazer came back but the Murano shows a worse drop. What's killing Murano is Nissan's Alliance with Renault (unpopular in the US)-Mitsubishi (who also have terrible cars). Edge, we already covered.

If every year Toyota sells 300,000 units of Camry in the US, and Ford sells 150,000 unit of Fusion. Toyota sells 80 ,000 units is 4runner, but Ford sells 350,000 units of Explorer.
If I recommend users to buy a Camry and ignore Fusion, why can't I say buy Explorer and ignore 4Runner. The two are in different price segments. The Highlander falls in the explorer price segment and with it getting larger of late has been the correct car to compare. That being said, the Highlander's size is starting to cannibalize 4runner sales so they are going smaller
Those who buy when they are new are aware of the reliability so the value they see in some models is what I want our people to start seeing. That is EXACTLY what is killing ford

Subaru Outback and Forester are some of the best cars Agreed made but until we encourage our people to look at those models we keep wasting money on Toyota. Disagree. A Toyota is always a sure buy from a financial standpoint. Doesn't mean from a taste standpoint it would be my choice though.

I bought mine from a watch seller/serviceman. I pleaded with him to give me original battery. I watched how to change it on YouTube and did it.
