Sorry for not making it clear enough for you...I did my undergraduate degree in the uk from department of mechanical engineering, having done with nysc now. So m[b]y uncle is a member house of reps and happened to get a nigerian government scholarship slot. He just said I should get an admission in a petroleum related course. Thanks

I do not believe that, not even a single person since 2009? They all had a meeting and decided to keep quiet? Your case is the first and you shouldn't use it to generalize.

I still maintain that one can not keep on topping up maintenance money each time exchange rate goes up.

Received by UKVI mail - 11 August 2017

Checked the New visa tracking website on 25 August 2017, and saw "decided" updated 24 August 2017

TLS decision mail 28 August 2017
Collection mail same day above but @ 4:03pm

Picked it up today.

Submission of Bank statements is key. Any reason why you did not have a bank statement?

Strong ties is usually WORK, CAREER, BUSINESS and INVESTMENTS. Did you show evidence of having these?

I want to apply again can i have someone different support me or i still have to you that same uncles statement and explain why it had that large amount the other time i was refused
By "Support" you mean someone to deposit large amount in an account, for you to trick them again? e no go work.

Is it compulsory to use that same statement and explain
It is compulsory to do the right thing

What steps should i take when reapplying please

Simple answer: Do the right thing. Have a GENUINE reason for the visit. Make sure you address ALL the lapses in the former application. They need to be sure that you have STRONG ties to your country. They need to be convincd that you have very STRONG reasons to return back to your country after the visit. Convince them.

Im getting ready for my visa application this week.

Im concerned that i dont have my original degree transcript. But i have my original degree certificate.

Its scanned copy i sent to the school. Are trsnscripts necessary if u have your degree cert? Who has applied without it plz

Hello Colleagues,
I was recently offered a Global Challenges PhD scholarship (CONGRATULATIONS MATE) in Civil Engineering at University of Birmingham (full tuition fee waved, monthly maintenance grant + bench allowance provided). However no mention of accommodation in the offer. : MONTHLY MAINTENANCE GRANT SHOULD COVER ACCOMODATION.

Offer was accepted yesterday; registration ends 31 July while programme commences September this year (barely 2 months from now).

What are my chances of beating this deadline (VISA, documentation, etc)? Can above info. be scrutinized please, I sincerely have no travel experience whatsoever. (YOU CAN DEFINITELY MAKE IT IF YOU HAVE ALL THE REQUIRED ITEMS: AWARD LETTER CLEARLY SPELLED OUT, TB TEST, ADMISION LETTER, CAS.

1) Will this history affect the consideration of my current application? I have surplus funds in the account (outstanding tuition/maintainance and small change).

2) "When" i get the visa, what is the most effective and money-saving means of funds transfer to and from UK since i have heard Western union is a rip off?

Some people submitted since April and have not heard from UKVI.

I applied for tier 4 dependant since the 12th of May and ever since I haven't heard from UKVI.
