£900 for Cambridge? Is this Cambridge city or in one of the surrounding towns? I've not seen anything good below £1200 in Cambridge. I've given up on living in Cambridge city, considering Camborne and St Ives. Camborne looks really nice with their new houses. I also observed some of the agents in St Ives offer this No deposit option which I'm still studying to know the downsides.
This one is in Cambridge. Cherry Hinton forthat matter

For this particular property, you cannot access landlords information (well, not unless you conduct a land registry a and then SM search).......

Landlords go through this loop, to protect their property and rents from rogue tenants .......

Search through other classifieds for other properties for rent (but shine your eyes wella).............
Thanks bro Lexus430.
I will search other classified ads as you suggested.

Question1:
Please I greet una!!

Supposing I was able to justify the reason for applying for second masters in Data Science, and the University deems it fit to issue my admission and CAS number. Would I still have issue convincing the ECO about my academic progression when I apply for the visa, given the fact that I finished Sept 2018. Or the University will settle it with UKVI?

NB: I had my first MSc in Economics, now contemplating between Msc Data Science or MBA. I love the two courses but I prefer DS because of the recent waves in Data handling and insight creation, trust me DS is groundbreaking and My MSc Economics was Just an eye opener of how Data can impact business, economics, finance, product and services.. Plus higher potential salary motivates me too!!

But how do I stand chance of convincing the ECO given that my university was willing to admit me due to my numerical and programming skills.

Do you advice I apply the Visa from Nigeria or the UK as the school resumes January!!

CCCCCCC: @Justwise, LaaJiblik and Mimilyrics, Mamathemama, et al.,
Try it . It’s either you will be given, or denied.

You sha get plenty money. Wanting to go for a second Masters.
If the ECO asks you why you are wanting to spend that much money for a Masters after a Masters what will you say?

If the ECO asks you what are your plans upon completing your studies in the UK what will you say?

What is your main reason of wanting to go to the UK?
A) To be a father figure to your daughter who has been missing the love and care of a father

B) To reconnect with your baby mama

C) To run away from Nigeria

Your story seem to suggest that your baby mama is suffering in the UK, with debts and no money.

Your story seem to suggest that your daughter too isn’t finding things easy.

The best solution for you is this:
CONVINCE YOUR BABY MAMA AND TO PICK YOUR DAUGHTER AND JOIN YOU IN NIGERIA.

Or

APPLY FOR, AND GET A TIER 2 VISA. THEN GO TO THE UK AND BE WITH YOUR DAUGHTER WHILE YOU WORK.
If Holy Spirit touch you, then Marry your baby mama. In that case, you have a job, a wife, a daughter. Complete family.

Freeze007:
Hello Nairalanders,

There is something bugging me for the past 5years. Let me try and make this very honest, true and frank. I feel very bad for the treatment I gave to the mother of my daughter, something I keep regretting.

In October '12, 15th had the privilege to study Water Resources Engineering and Management(M.Sc) in Sheffield, within that period one thing led to the other, part of which was boredom, loneliness plus the fact that I was really struggling with my course-which led to depression. Within this period I slided a bit, that is, lost focus completely from the original purpose that I got neck deep in internet for all the negative reasons apart of defrauding.

At some point, my grades was so bad I was advised to change but insisted i wanted to continue assuring my HOD I was going to do well. This did not happen as my stay became a complete waste of resources-this I am still regretting. However, something should I say fortunate or unfortunate happened, got a girl pregnant. I must say that at that point I was too naive to handle the situation that I left her to fend all by herself, still beg God to forgive me. Cut long story short, I did not want their Immigration to catch up with me as soon as it was time to leave had to leave. Bear in mind my condition was exacerbated that it threw me into a psychiatrist hospital, that's how bad it is when trying to get your head around how to leave with the shame of not successfully fulfilling the conditions that took me to the UK in the first place when I did not come from a wealthy home but an average family all that put together aggravated my condition. Plus the problem of getting a girl pregnant where I was struggling to survive in a complete strange Land.

Travelled back to Nigeria and condition as been somewhat difficult thank God been able to top up with a good area I am in love with- Health. Safety and Environment. Matter of fact certified by Occupational Health and Safety Academy.

The problem now is, I am truly feeling very empty because I miss my daughter, talked with her mum, she appear to be struggling doing it all by herself. Last we talked she complained about being in debt, I want to go back to her to assist her, yes, it is very hard too in Nigeria but with the latest qualification in my portfolio perhaps finding a good job there in UK will ease a lot of burden for her. Thing is, how feasible is it getting a Job there from Nigeria?

I have tried applying for jobs in the UK from Nigeria there seem not to be any luck. I really don't want to go back using her as an edge but I would love to give my daughter a good life as her Dad. As am typing this, my baby been asking about her Dad and the last we spoke on whatsapp she seemed very shy but lacking fatherhood something I could sense.

Please FAM, I need professional advice on the best way to tackle this in the most legitimate way possible. I believe in monogamy, I would love to take my position as her Dad, what should I do? Also being that I think UK may have laws that are quite intimidating, I had thought securing a job and inviting for visits but as we all know it does not seem to be working as planned. Someone should please advise me on what to do.

I miss these beautiful people in my life. Life is hard here in Nigeria at the end, our child has a kind of special emotion we cannot fathom. Initially thought I was never going to see them again but I feel this strong connection that is begging to be united with them.

I anticipate good advise on the way forward

cheers!!!

Is NYSC certificate compulsory for a UK postgraduate program? My sister has just graduated and has an offer for a postgraduate degree but wants to come to Nigeria for her NYSC first. When she checked her UK school, did they mention NYSC as a requirement prior to giving her the admission?

Hello Mimilyrics and other gurus in the house,

My brothers is being sponsored for his masters programme by his employer (a local company) here in Nigeria. He submitted a bank statement (to his school) showing a huge sum (his tuition and maintenance) transfered to him by his employer and was asked by the school to send in a confirmation letter from his company to prove they made the transaction.

Now, he has gotten his CAS, but the school instructed him to submit his employer sponsor letter, his appointment letter and had leave letter during his visa interview.

I will like to find out if these are really necessary as he already has his 28 days bank statement and the money is availaiable for him for his studies. I feel like all these will delay his visa processing because the said company is not an international company.
Disclaimer: I am NOT a guru on these things.

My response:
Was it he school that asked your brother the question about who was sponsoring him?

it is stated that the scholarship covers my dependants even stating their names. The amount given on the letter was the total package both tuition maintenance for me and dependants which I think is enough and meets the required amount.
In that case, you don’t need to submit a SINGLE Bank statement. The scholarship letter is enough.

Print from 7th june or 8th june?? 2) I plan to arrive the Uk bout 3weeks before resumption, resumption date is 17th september.....what date will you advice I put as intended date to travel so I can get the 30 days vignette that'll allow my arrival three weeks before resumption...Gurus please
I’m not sure, but I don’t think UKVI would stress so much in the source of the funds for a T4 PBS application.

Having said that, if I were you, I would print a 3 month statement. will not only print a 28 day Statement.
But for the sake of the application, I would consider June 11th As Day 1. Then count 30 days. Then add a few more days, and print a statement with July 15 as end date.

Sunmary: you have a3 month statement, the ECO counts 28 days downwards, your Balance was never short on any day of those 28. The extra days are ‘bonus’. You are good to go.

I really don't know where you guys have being renting your house from, you lots got a lot of money to throw around.

Let me put it this way..from renting a room to studio flat to a house in Hampshire, in Bedfordshire and and Yorkshire, in all these counties i have lived in no single landlord/landlady has ever charged me for reference.
I haven’t lived in any of those counties. But I can talk about my experience in London.
The only time referencing was not done and paid for were times when I was looking for rooms in flatshares.
But for whole properties, ALL the PRIVATE landlords have had to use NLA to do a referencing for me.
And I have had to PAY.
