Omar09: Hello house... I will be graduating this year from one thing to another federal university of education in Nigeria and I want to go for my masters in UK by January next year. I like preparing before hand. Now my question is, I don't think my certificate will be ready by then but I am sure students transcript and statement of result will be ready by then, will I be able to get admission and will it affect my visa application? Cause I read through here n saw where someone @sistercaro was rejected visa cause they think her transcript is fake. I'm scared already. Gurus pls help. If a school requests for your Certificate and you don’t have it yet, then wait. |

winzy: Good day, fam. Please am devastated and frustrated right now... I really need help.
I just went to my secondary school to collect my Wace certificate, but the date of birth on it is wrong and different from the one on other documents.
And will I have to submit my WACE CERTIFICATE when going for biometrics?
What will I do as I look forward to September. Pleaseeee Are you 100% Sure that WACE [sic] was the one that made the mistake? Or you did some ‘panel beating’ on your DOB but the WAEC past has arrived to haunt you? |

iche123: @ Ralphjean, we haven't taken any additional steps since we were refused tier 4 visa on the grounds that the fund was in my account instead of my wife's account. But am willing to stop my own application so she can apply as the main applicant while i apply as the dependent and have all the fund transfered to her account as the main applicant if its the best solution at the moment.Or i can allow her apply alone for the tier 4 visa and apply immediately if she gets the tier 4 visa if my refusal history will be a problem. What do you think please If I would suggest, it will be based of the ‘unstated’ motive. You are not as interested in the MRES as you are in ‘zooming off from Naija’. Having said that, I would transfer all the funds into wifey’s account. She will apply for a T4 Visa. The day she gets her visa, I would re-transfer the funds into my own account. Then apply for T4 dependant 29 days later. Your initial submission would suggest that your wife will easily ‘pass’ the ‘credibility’ test more than you. Infact, if I am an ECO, I will think 10x before granting you a T4 student visa. Your wife has a ‘cleaner’ record and her route seem easier... Good morning |

iche123: Good day everyone especially justwise for all your good works.I recently came to be aware of this group and have read and gained alot from hundreds of pages in this forum from highly respected professionals. Thanks ones again for all your good works.i need your advise please.I actually schooled in the UK for my MSC Marketing from January 2013 to 2014 and actually came back December 2014.I have applied for visiting visa on September 2017 but was refused because the VO observed that there was inconsistent deposits in my account. Then my wife got admission to study Msc and i applied together with her as her dependent on December 2017 but the VO rightly refused us because we wrongly left the fund (balance of tuition fee and maintenance) in my account instead of my wife's account as the main applicant.I applied again for visitors visa around October 2018 but it was also refused because the VO refered to my previous refusals and also pointed that there was not enough transactions in my account statement and also i did not present any assets i have in Nigeria. Now i got admission for a master by research programme (MRES) on Business Management for September session,my question is,will my previous refusals be a challenge for this new application and two, do i meet the progression criteria having studied in UK previously on MSC marketing.I actually want to progress to a Phd programme with the help of this programme. Thanks all and hope you will do justice to my present challenge. Did you transfer the money to wifey’s account and she got the T4 Visa afterwards? |

slinkyibk: Good morning house, am a silent observer of the thread and I must say I have learnt a whole lot from the wealth of experience of the gurus in the house. I will be relocating to Poole, Dorset in a few weeks can anyone give me a review of what the place is like? I learnt it's a white dominated place are there Nigerians there by chance, African shops where I can get Nigerian foods? Thanks in anticipation. It’s not a ‘white dominated place’. It’s in the UK. The UK is White Man’s Land. |

can anyone tell me what jobs are quicker/easier to get in uk -based in Stoke-on-Trent . we don't want any too much sitting around. the visa expenses won't pay itself Hubby has experience in building construction but seems like that is going to be irrelevant here when he arrives. other quick jobs to get/where to visit once he arrives outside care homes
thanks Maybe you are not really, really, really looking for quick jobs. |

acevic: I know thanks. My advice to anyone planning to use FCMB is to have a rethink. I've never encountered such a horrible service in my entire life. They present you a black and white printed statement of Account. No letterhead paper. You email them to verify a statement of Account issued at one of their branches, it becomes a Herculean task. 9 working days and still counting I have used FCMB statements to apply for UK visa 3 times in the past. Black and white does NOT matter at all. |

Lexusgs430: You have to be systematic in your search. Don't buy from a dealer, buy directly from the owner/associates...... Dealers would prepare the car, fix any fixables and some would even offer warranty + capital tie down interest (all this comes at a price).....
Lots of bereaved kids selling dads/mums car, at giveaway prices......
In my banger buying days, buying a cheap car was like a degree course........... Please I wan buy first used car at <1,000 pounds. If anyone knows someone who knows someone who is selling a cutie (like Davechapelle own that he ‘dashed’ dem for 600). |

Lexusgs430: Just check ebay, gumtree, preloved etc etc..... Plenty bangers available.......... Thanks Lexus430. But imagine a car sold by Davechapelle for £600 being advertised on Autotrader for £2000 Makes me think those eBay, Gumtree, preloved websites etc may have overpriced cars. Please, any Nairalander who wishes to sell at sub-1000 just like Davechapelle did should hit me up. |

Andrepete: Excuse you The above mentioned question had nothing to do with you.... U could have just read it and kept quiet... But no... U decided to spew the trash u just typed..... Please kindly go manage your anger related problems and don't transfer it to someone else............. I asked a simple question.. The stuff was posted on the student portal, no webform for inquiries, furthermore I was asked for my passport as a different document on its own..... So I was or still am confused regarding the exact visa and immigration documents they requested for..... I asked here hoping someone might have encountered something like this and be kind enough to advice me and not act the way you just did..... Please don't try that again... Thank you good sire You asked the right question in the wrong forum. You said you were told. The best place for you to get the best answer should be the person(s) who told you. Nairaland forum does not know the answer to all questions. |

If you hold a T2 Visa, you can’t justifiably call your pay “meagre” because you must have attained a certain threshold to be eligible for that visa category. |

kuru: Hello House, I'm planning to apply for a tier 4 visa with my family, wife & 2 children. However when the passport for my 2nd son was done there was a mistake in the surname, my wife added his middle name to the surname thus making the surname of both children different, and I just discovered it now. Though I have their birth certificates, I'm just wondering if it is likely to cause any issues with visa application and in future. I contacted someone in customs and they are demanding N120k to make the corrections which is too much for me. I would appreciate any info if this is likely to cause problems. Thanks in anticipation for your replies CUSTOMS Wetin concern Agbero with Overload? |

justwise: My minimum standard is that you can't leave a 2months old baby to travel abroad for studies and if you sees that as high standard then we are talking about child neglect here. No matter what Standard is used for measurement. Infact, even if there is no standard. Let’s call a spade a spade. It is inhuman and irresponsible for a parent to leave a 2-month old baby (nay, NEONATE) to go hustle. It’s not fair on the little one. |

Shawtykel: Please I really need to know if there are implications to this of not taking my kids @ the moment? What possible best reasons do I have to give for not taking my kids along? Any case like mine ever?
Like I previously said hubby is on tier 4 visa for one year and I really need to hustle to support him while hoping he gets a switch to tier 2 before his one year elapses or I get tier 2 while in UK then come for our kids. Thanks a lot My son was born December 2014 I came to the UK on a T4 Visa in November 2016. My wife joined me in June 2017 (left the 3year old son with grandma). Wife got a job an we saved enough to have the maintenance money for a dependant. Applied for Son in January 2018. Summary: Me, wife, son have been here. We are gathering money now to apply for daughter (aged 10). At no point did anyone ever ask why we were leaving the children. But ...wait a minute. Did I read that your hubby’s T4 Visa is for only 1 year? |
