For a long time now, Nigerian 'hip hop' (please take note of the inverted commas used) has been swimming in the murky waters of mediocrity! All sort of rubbish are being dished out to the naïve and shallow-minded peeps who wallow in ignorance. These peeps have failed to realize the essence of lyrics in music!

The first time I heard 'Pass You By' by Black Magic feat. Oritsefemi, I said to myself, 'here comes a different force, different mentality and orientation'. The lyrics remind me of real music with meaning, different from the usual noise about yansh, bossoms, *i go spend all my money for you*, and all manner of junks.

Let this young man just keep up the good work and the good music! He is surely blessed. Femi, hmmm...you murdered that song o! Am happy that there are still peeps like Black Magic that reason and make real music for the intelligent minds. 'You wen dey fuckup, I no send you, see still don't know what kind of girlfriend I need'...mehn, that lyric is tight. So am not alone.

I pray more peeps like this emerge!
