Nwanne use Supermax C band lnb, it has been proven to be v good for circular bands (like Irib). How far did u get d conical scalar ring?

Why not buy an 8 in 1 diseqc it is better cos it can take an additional 8 4 in 1 diseq if need be.

iykmora: thanks bro, i did exactly what you said by pushin the lnb inwards and skewed it @ 11 0'clock, the signal increased to 60, when i put the dielectric plate it jumped to 63% for 4055H27500. Thatz a surprise so i cued in the irib tp but it flashed green and disappeared. I tried tweaking but in vain. Does anyone know where i can get a conical scalar ring? I am in imo state.

It sure does hv a lot of effect. It should have something tht covers it. If it is not there, u shld go back to ur dealer to get it. Maybe gurus here can tell u hw to improvise if u can't get to ur dealer. Cheers.

olenyi: Same Dstv position. Just make sure your cctv signal is at least 70% or above.

Hope you are using an mpeg 4/HD complaint decoder.

Congrats on ur effort, tht is d spirit bro! When u say others don't 'show' do u mean they are scrambled or they are red (bad or no signal)? If it is d former, tht simply means they are not FTA, if it is the later then u need to work on ur set up. Cheers.

wasman01: remove the plate first, the track from Amos5, and bring it down a little bityo your left hand side while standing at the back of your dish, make sure the dish is clean

Which plate do u want him to remove, the di electric plate or the scalar ring? It is good to help out, but we should be sure of the help we are rendering!

Ziano: thanks for the update, but am confused here... Once the Dish is aligned to 68.5E, do I need to do anything else or just to connect the DSTV receiver and allow it to scan itself( as usual) or what, and can it also work in Nigeria? Pls am counting on ur Responds. Thanks in advance

To the best of my knowledge it is not for those in Nigeria. DSTV for west Africa is @36E not 68.5E cheers.
