I agree with you. There is a very high chance that the Nigeria Supreme court would throw out the case brought by Rivers State against Imo State by God Grace. The Supreme Court have consistently held that the Federal High Court have and exercise exclusive jurisdiction in civil causes and matters that affects the Federal Government of Nigeria or any of its agencies and relating to the validity of any administrative or executive actions or decisions. The administration or the management and control of the federal government or any of its agencies. Federal High Court’s Jurisdiction and matters involving Federal Government or its agencies The relevant statute in determining the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court to entertain disputes involving the Federal Government or any of its agencies is the 1999 Constitution and for clarity the relevant section of the constitution will be highlighted. Section 251 (1) provides thus: “Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Constitution and in addition to such other jurisdiction as may be conferred upon it by an Act of the National Assembly, the Federal High Court shall have and exercise jurisdiction to the exclusion of any other court in civil causes and matters – (p) the administration or the management and control of the Federal Government or any of its agencies; (q) subject to the provision of this constitution, the operation and interpretation of this constitution in so far as it affects the Federal government or any of its agencies; (q) any action or proceeding for a declaration or injunction affecting the validity of any executive or administrative action or decision by the Federal Government or any of its agencies. Provided that nothing in the provision of paragraph (p), (q) and (r) of this subsections shall prevent a person from seeking redress against the Federal Government or any of its agencies in an action for damages, injunction or specific performance where the action is based on any enactment, law or equity” ThEGodFaThEr104: |

Oil Wells: Gov Uzodimma expresses confidence, says Imo’ll get justice September 27, 2021 .Imo Oil Wells The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has expressed confidence that “Imo State will eventually get justice at the Supreme Court and get back what belongs to her”. He added that the State will also be receiving an additional N8 billion monthly from Federal Allocation. The Governor during the Thanksgiving Church Service in commemoration of Nigeria’s 61st Independence Day Celebration at the Government House Chapel, Owerri, disclosed this as he explained the position of the State on the oil wells located in Imo State that were ceded to Rivers State for over 20 years now. He stated that though the Committee on Boundary Adjustment through boundary demarcation had given back the oil wells to Imo State, the Rivers State Government had taken the matter to the Supreme Court, all in an effort to continue to deny Imo State what belongs to her. In strong disapproval, Governor Uzodimma disclosed that despite the fact that some of the disputed oil wells are located in Local Government Areas like Ejemekwuru in Oguta LGA, Imo State, some selfish Imo indigenes, benefiting from the scam, are working against this recovery process. The Governor, therefore, expressed confidence that Imo State will get justice. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/09/oil-wells-gov-uzodimma-expresses-confidence-says-imoll-get-justice/ 2 Likes |

FG begins reactivation of Imo farm estate abandoned for 30 years Okechukwu Nnodim 16 August 2021 The Federal Government on Sunday announced that it had commenced the reactivation of the 35-hectare farm estate in Imo State that was abandoned for more than 30 years. It signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Imo State Government for the reactivation of the Acharaugo Emekuku Integrated Farm Estate in Owerri North Local Government Area of the state. The government disclosed this in a statement issued by the National Agricultural Land Development Authority in Abuja. The Executive Secretary, NALDA, Paul Ikonne, who inspected the farm estate in Imo State and a fish village in Abia State, said both projects were been developed to engage about 800 workers. For the farm estate, Ikonne said the facility had capacity to engage about 500 farmers directly and would have a veterinary training centre. “The training centre will be used to give practitioners and prospective veterinary doctors the opportunity to be trained and acquire knowledge on how to take care of animals within a farm,” he stated. He added, “Our intention is to make the farm fully functional, bring back the things that used to be there before, such as poultry, piggery and goat pens. “Also, additional facilities such as the processing and packaging units, training centres and snail rearing points will be restored.” Ikonne said Imo State had promised to increase the farm estate from 35 hectares to 100. On the fish village in Ariam Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, the NALDA boss said the facility occupied 100 hectares of land and would engage about 300 direct workers in the areas of fish and grass-cutter farming as well as crop production. https://punchng.com/fg-begins-reactivation-of-imo-farm-estate-abandoned-for-30-years/ |

AfDB Plans Staple Crop Processing Zones Published on August 24, 2021 By Sodeinde Temidayo David The African Development Bank (AfDB) has revealed that it will commence the implementation of the Staple Crop Processing Zones (SCPZs) initiative in eight states of Nigeria. The SCPZs hopes to locate crop processing zones in areas where the crops are being produced or areas with comparative advantage in the production of targeted crops. This was publicized by the Senior Special Adviser on Industrialization, Office of the President, AfDB Group, Mr Oyelaran Oyeyinka, at the Feed Nigeria Summit held in Abuja with the theme Post-COVID-19: A Repaired Food System, Pathway to a Revived Economy. He stated that the SCPZs is a locational model located within farming communities themselves, and revealed the benefitting states to include Ogun, Oyo, Kano, Kaduna, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Kwara, Imo and Cross River States. He said the multilateral lender will work together with its partners to ensure the implementation of the initiative this year. According to him, the bank will commence the implementation with the first set of eight locations in Nigeria of which the Ministry of Agriculture is the executing agent. “We want to ensure that as a model of a special economic zone the SCPZ is done in a different way. The SCPZ as a locational model is located within farming communities itself. “It is a solution to solve the Nigerian issue in which we have had in stock for decades,” he disclosed. Mr Oyeyinka further expressed that there is a need to move away from being an agrarian society, dressing that there is no pride in saying that 80 per cent are employed in agriculture. He said there are countries where two per cent are employed in agriculture, and still export billions of food to other countries. The SCPZ initiative model is set to be one of the solutions, as the AfDB official noted. “SCPZs, we believe will stimulate investment in infrastructure particularly in the underserved areas of our country. “SCPZs are catalysts for private sector development. The government enables the zones to be built, but at the end of the day, the success of a particular zone is how many companies that we’re able to attract to that zone. “So, in other words, we are working with private sector actors and we are inviting them into these zones even now,” Mr Oyeyinka said. This idea focuses on attracting private sector agribusinesses to set up processing plants in zones of high food production, to process commodities into food. The zones will allow the country to substantially reduce food imports, and become net exporters of processed foods and commodities. https://businesspost.ng/economy/afdb-plans-staple-crop-processing-zones-in-ogun-others/ 1 Like |

Good News to Biafra freedom fighters, agitators and promoters. The British government should mount very serious political, economic, diplomatic and social pressures and sanctions on Nigeria to grant total independence and freedom to Biafra Republic unconditionally and urgently. Based on the British charter of Nigeria amalgamation in 1914, Nigeria had seized to exist as a country since 2014 and component parts are free to go their separate ways and form their own independent country. Biafra should be urgently and unconditionally granted full independence and freedom from Nigeria and be internationally recognized as a free and totally independent country by the British government, United States of America, European Union and her member countries, African Union and her member countries, Russia, Israel, France, China, Japan and so on. IFAD, FG eye Imo State to Site Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone Project April 13, 2021 Dikachi Franklin Owerri Hope of unemployment reduction is building up in Imo State and signals for job opportunities are rife with the coming of the African Development Bank (AFDB), International Fund for African Development(IFAD) in collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria to build Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone Project in Okigwe in Imo State. Already Imo State has been identified as one over 200 trillion cubic feet gas deposit, the largest in West Africa and the federal government has created a commission , called the National Gas Expansion Commission which would among other things train , equip and ensure that human capacity is developed and jobs created in the gas sector. Read Also: Also, a firm called Imo- China Investment and Trade Centre is working assiduously with the Chinese Company to establish a multi billion naira industrial zone in a place called China Town in Imo State. The joint efforts of the African Development Bank, the International Fund for African Development and the Federal Government to set up Special Agro -Industrial Proceeding Zone Project was disclosed in Owerri during the visit of the team led by Richard Mbamara to the, governor, Hope Uzodimma. According to Mbamara, the essence of the visit was to see for themselves, the available infrastructural facilities in the state which would help to qualify Imo for the siting of the project. Already, the team had visited the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport and was satisfied with what they saw on ground. Meanwhile, Chiedozie Egesi, the lead Consultant of the project said “the team has made some significant milestones having identified things it will focus on which include the Cargo Terminal at the Sam Mbakwe International Airport.”. Egesi also disclosed their plans to visit some privately owned poultry farms in NgorOkpala and the livestock processing hub at Okigwe where they hope to “establish dairy industry in an integrated place where the Mission of the Bank -the Feed Africa Team will be met”. https://www.businessamlive.com/ifad-fg-eye-imo-state-to-site-special-agro-industrial-processing-zone-project/ 1 Like |

No just and fair minded person would want Orlu zone to have two government teaching hospitals when Okigwe zone have non Obowo local goverment is a good location because they have enough population and surrounded by highly populated local government areas, the location is very economically viable, the Owerri to Umuahia federal road pass through Obowo local government area and they have available lands. Assa North-Ohaji South Project The Assa North-Ohaji South project (ANOH) is one of the largest greenfield gas condensate development projects being undertaken in Nigeria. The project involves the development of the Ohaji South gas and condensate field located within the license block OML 53 and the Assa North field in license block OML 21. The two fields are together expected to produce 600 million standard cubic feet per day (Mscfd) of gas, equivalent to approximately 2.4GW of electricity. The generated electricity is sufficient to supply for approximately 2.4 million homes. ANOH Gas Processing Company (AGPC), incorporated in 2017, is responsible for the project development and operation and maintenance. Seplat holds 50% stake in AGPC, while Nigerian Gas Company (NGC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), holds the remaining stake. Project Gallery Final investment decision on the project was made in December 2018, with commissioning planned to be completed by the first quarter of 2020. The field is expected to produce between three and 3.4 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day by 2020. Ownership of license blocks OML 53 and 21 Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC) holds 30% stake and is also the operator of the JV that owns the license OML 21. Other partners in the JV include Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC, 55%), Total Exploration and Production Nigeria (10%), and Nigerian Agip Oil Company (5%). NNPC holds 60% stake in the OML 53 license, while the remaining stake is owned by Seplat. The two companies will hold an upstream unit interest in ANOH of 30% and 20%, respectively. Assa North-Ohaji South project location and background ANOH is one of the seven critical gas projects initiated by the Ministry of Petroleum and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to meet the increasing gas demand in Nigeria. The project extends in 719.84km2 in the Imo state and is located approximately 25km from Owerri and 75km from Port Harcourt. Shell initiated the preliminary project development and conducted environmental impact assessment (EIA) studies in 2006 and front-end engineering and design (FEED) in April 2007. The final cumulative EIA report was submitted to the Federal Ministry of Environment of Nigeriain September 2015 and the same was approved in February 2016. Assa North-Ohaji South project reserves The Assa North and Ohaji Southfields are expected to contain reserves of 4.3 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of gas in addition to 215 million barrels (Mmbbls) of condensate. Assa North-Ohaji South project details The Assa North field hosts hydrocarbon reserves in the north-eastern segment of OML 21, which extend into the Southern segment of OML 53. The project is being developed in two phases, with the first phase involving the construction of two main reservoirs H1000 and H4000. The second phase involves the depletion compression, with potential to further develop other lower-ranking reservoirs. Four development wells will be constructed in the H1000 reservoir, while twowells will be constructed in the H4000 reservoir. All the wells will be pre-drilled from a single drilling centre and forwarded to three inlet manifolds of PTF through individual flowlines. Gas will be processed through dehydration and hydrocarbon dew pointing processes to meet the sales specifications, while the liquids will be processed by condensate stabilisation and dehydration methods. The project will be connected to large-scale gas reserves to Nigeria’s main demand centres through the Oben hub owned by Seplat. The produced gas will be treated at the processing facility owned by SPDC JV and then forwarded through the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben pipeline network. Gas treatment Gas will be treated at the primary treatment facility (PTF) to be located between the existing Assa North-1 surface drilling centre and the Assa flow station. The facility is estimated to have a capacity of 600Mmscf/d gas and 45,000bbl/d of condensate. The PTF will comprise two 300Mmscfd gas dehydration facilities, 15 wellheads, associated flowlines for H1 and H4 wells, NAG inlet facilities for H1 and H4 wells, and other facilities. The stabilised liquids are proposed to be stored at the four 100,000bbl tanks. The processing plant will comprise two Thompson trains with a turndown capacity of 50%. It will also feature a 20,000bbl/d two-train condensate plant, which is capable of recovering 1,200bbl/d of LPG. Of the total gas production, 300Mmscfd will be processed at the new gas processing plant owned by the SPDC JV, while the remaining gas will be processed at the proposed processing plant by SEPLAT Petroleum. The processed gas will be transported to the Escravos-Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) and West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) through a 26km-long spur line connecting to the OB3 pipeline. The produced LPG will be trucked directly to Owerri, while the condensate will be exported to either Shell Bonny and or ENI’s Brass River terminal. Financing of Assa North-Ohaji South project The phase one development of ANOH midstream is expected to cost $700m, of which the JV of Seplat and NGC will fund $420m. AGPC proposes to raise $280m in debt comprising senior tranche and vendor financing. Infrastructure facilities at ANOH The existing infrastructure at the Assa North field includes a pipeline manifold and a mothballed flow station. Major infrastructure facilities will include a field logistic base (FLB), pipelines, flare gas system, seven 500kVA low-voltage emergency diesel generators, tri-ethylene glycol storage, distribution and regeneration units, and six flow lines. Power supply for the project will be provided by two 1.6MVA onsite diesel generators, while potable water is proposed to be sourced from the onsite stormwater storage facility. https://www.nsenergybusiness.com/projects/assa-north-ohaji-south-project/ |

They are related but different projects. Assa North field is owned by Shell while the Ohaji South field is owned by Seplat. These two fields have been united to form Assa North Ohaji South (ANOH) field. 600 million scf/d of gas would be produced from the field by Shell whose role is to explore for gas, drill several gas wells, produce and treat the planned gas quantity. A primary treatment facility would be established in Imo State. Shell would then transport 300mmscf/d of gas to its gas plant in Rivers State, while Seplat would process 300mmscf/d of gas at the new gas processing plant they are building. asha80: 1 Like |
