I find it strange that someone such as your "good" self, who appears to have so much "love" for Tinubu has chosen to avoid this thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-691556.64.html

See, we can only look at things in true light. I see someonje saying he was the cause why the ACN and CPC did not fall through
The bolded is wrong idiomatic usage
The correct thing to say is"The reason/cause the ACN and CPC merger fell through"
To "fall through" actually means "to fail"

That said,I sense you're a fan of Bakare and prolly voted for his strange-bedfellows-pairing with Buhari, but I must tell you the man is a rabble rouser prone to frequently stirring the hornets nest just to be in the spotlight .I don't consider him a pastor,he's fake.

However,I agree with him on this his Tinubu outburst,it's about time Tinubu got told.

Can't wait for a re: to that from one of the criminal Tinubu's goons

I'm not at all impressed that many of this beast's previous supporters here on NL are only just realizing the 'demonism' of this man called BARKare. Any sane, right-thinking person (let alone a supposedly conscientious Christian) would have rebuked this fake pastor and ALL he represents on the basis of his reaction (or lack thereof) to the post election violence in the north. Seriously. I really don't have any respect for most (if not all) of these bread and butter materialistist/self-centred/worldly modern pastors anyway. But for a so called man of God to openly justify the killing of innocent Christians/Southerners by his party's (CPC) apologists? Just for the sake of politics? Because he was bitter that his vice-presidential pipe-dream was crushed? Such shamelessly mundane inclination? Such cold and heartless insouciance? For a so-called 'pastor'? No. That is the height of it. There is nothing that can be worse than that. This latest 'bastard' episode is only further confirmation of the repugnance of this beast.
Some of us had long(even before his materialistic, worldly misadventure into politics) correctly discerned the kind of person Tunde Bakare is;materialistic, deceptive, fake, bigoted and loud-mouthed,and I have always treated topics relating to him from that standpoint. But alas,I almost got crucified by either those who would always say "he's a pastor, the Bible says touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm",when indeed what the Bible actually admonishes when treating cases involving the likes of Bakare is to "test all spirits and see if they be of God" or by vilified by those unfortunate political supporters of his.

Okay na,overtake don overtake overtake
When I posted that with the unfortunate sposored editorial by Sam Omatseye, that some people's dubious ambition had been revealed, and that opposition to such ambition was bound to start sprouting,I did not guess it would come from Bakare's corner.Though I'm not a fan of his,but I'm with him on this one,he is 100% correct.

I dare Tinubu and his hired pen men to do a rejoinder and attack Bakare, then he'll show them that he's not a gentleman at all

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by rasputinn(m): 9:24am On Jun 16, 2011
"The transfer window is now up and running and as expected, virtually all players in the world are being linked to Arsenal. The latest in the long line is Odemwingie.

According to wearethenorthbank, Arsenal scouts watched the Nigerian talisman during the closing stages of the season and he impressed enough to be added to the striker shortlist.

It would be amazing to have a Nigerian to cheer in the team as there has been none since the days of King Kanu. Having said that, I don’t see this transfer happening as one, he is 29 and two, he is African. I don’t think it would be sensible to have the two back-up strikers away at the same time for the Africa Nations Cup.

Gervinho is another name that has stuck during the transfer window. He came out to say he would announce his destination by the end of the week. He is a player I like a lot. He is pacey, dribbles and also makes intelligent runs. He would be able to play wide on the left or right or as a striker. We could have a 3 in 1 player with him. He is also a self confessed fan of the club.

His transfer is a more likely one. Wenger confessed of his admiration for him and at the price of £10 million, he is under budget. If Wenger actually went for him is another question. I’m pretty sure he would come to Arsenal if we went in for him.

The Center Back position is an area Wenger has confessed to being determined to strengthen. Two players have taken the fore front in that department.

Arsenal was reported to have submitted an £8 million bid for Samba and that was later upped to £10 million. It is reported that Blackburn is holding out for £12 million. Reports this morning also suggests PSG want £14 million for Sakho.

Sincerely, I would love to have both. Vermalaen or Sakho could move to left back while the other partners Samba in the heart of the defence.

Wenger said he was on the lookout for an English defender or a defender used to the English game. If he is to get only one, I feel Samba would be the one. Although the purchase of Samba wouldn’t solve the setpiece problem, it could easily reduce it by up to 50%.

No Arsenal summer would be complete without a Fabregas to Barcelona rumour. The latest is that they are willing to offer cash plus Thiago for Fabregas. The fact that Barcelona fans are no longer keen on the purchase of Fabregas would make the board think twice about splashing the cash on him as his transfer is nothing but a PR stunt. I don’t expect this transfer to happen.

Nasri is yet to sign a new contract and as it turns out, it is not because he wants assurances on transfer. Instead, he is looking to earn more money. Now, I wouldn’t entirely blame him, instead it’s the management that deserves the blame for rewarding under performing average players with huge contracts. It is however disappointing that he thinks he should be earning as much as Fabregas and RVP (if the stories are true) after just performing as expected for just six months in his Arsenal career. If he doesn’t agree a new deal ASAP, I hope he can be sold for a huge transfer fee.

Hope my next post would be about an interesting signing and not a 16 year old like Olsson (though his transfer was completed as far back as March).

Okayyyy
In what form might such amnesty behuhwould it also include sending them abroad(Europe) to acquire some specialised education(of course that would be out of sync with their ideology, since they don't want to have anything to do with western education),if not that, then should they be sent to an Islamic nation to learn obtain Islamic education, what good would that do Nigeria,it may even expose them to more modern forms of terrorism and globall terrorism cells

What kind of behavior do you expect from a former drug lord?

Well, so is lying? stealing? doing drugs? sending assasins at your opponents, NO?

He got to where he is because of his drug money. And he could not have been more vocal in the past because the AD platform he used to launch himself was Afenefere's. He has always had the tendency, but hey, no one goes against Bola Ige and come out alive, not even JESUS would try it. Yeah, Bola Ige was that influential, eloquent and according to his peers, very caustic. You would not have expected him to go against Ajasin or Adesanya. They would have cut him to size and narrated his 'Iragbiji' origin to him, undiluted. They would have reminded him of how he got to where he isThis is nothing fishy here. Alex Ibru never wrote an article before Al-Mustapha sent Sgt. Rogers after him. Remember that event. Tinubu planted this. Omatseye is not Yoruba. Omatseye knows nothing about HID Awolowo. He never read any of Awo's books, never campaigned for Awo, and so he made a lot of gaffes that exposed his ignorance, which would only mean one thing:that he was sponsored by Tinubu.

adejoro75:
After a week of media bashing, former Governor of Lagos State and Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has written the spouse of the late sage, Chief Mrs.HID Awolowo, saying he had no hand in the media attack on the Awo family.
A statement signed by Tinubu’s Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Olakunle Abimbola, said: “I wish to assure Mama that I cannot disparage the Awo family without disparaging the legacy that all of us proudly embrace and are trying to sustain,”
Mr Tinubu,in your paid editorial via Sam Omatseye, you did not credit any member of the Awolowo family as trying to sustain the legacy of the late sage,in fact you said it was Awo family without an Awo-someone sustaining the legacy
So who are the "all of us" you referred to?
Honestly,it was a smart PR move, but the recantment was a tongue-in-cheek kinda thing and not everyone is fooled
If prominent yoruba religious, cultural and political leaders did not condemn the editorial;indicating also the fact that they knew it was Tinubu that sponsored it,counselling also the leadership of the Yoruba race could not be bought by stolen funds;a veiled reference to Tinubu,he would not have recanted anything,so IMO the damage is done, true colours have been shown, and resistance to certain aspirations have started
