It is perfectly understandable that mr Iweriebor is reading out a script prepared in Uduaghan's kitchen.Having been a boi boi for petty percuniary considerations all through the 8 year misrule of James Ibori and the almost 4 year misadventure of Uduaghan. However,I must straighten some issues the old man shamelessly distorted rasputinn:Mr Iweriebor is not an elder statesman,to refer to him as one is to insult that inatitution, except of course being an octogenerian and a former member of a state house of assembly who was in the house for about five years during which he DID NOT move a single motion,NEITHER DID HE SPONSOR ANY BILL qualifies him as an elder statesman. There is a reason why he was nicknamed"Mr I CONCUR";he was so inactive in the house that then house speaker was forcwd on numerous occasions to ask him,"Hon Iweriebor what is your contribution?" to which he always replied"I CONCUR". rasputinn:Mr Iweriebor should undergo an urgent psychiatric evaluaion. He is not in the same league with Chieh Clark. For crying out loud,Clark is well read and was a first federal minister, while Iweriebor is just a primary school "graduate" who just had the fortune of representing the then Ika constituency at the then Bendel state house of assembly My advice to mr Iweriebor; If you have nothing meaningful to do with your time, why not hide peacefuly in your house and enjoy the small pittance you got from Ibori and Uduaghan.Any wonder why your Ika North East people have deposed you as a political reference point? |
Stop Destroying Youngmen, Iweriebor Tells Clark Elder statesman and member of the defunct Bendel State House of Assembly,Hon. Humphrey Iwerieboh, has advised leader of the Ijaw, Chief Edwin Clark, to act with moderation that is befitting of his age and stop pulling young politicians in the state down. Iweriebor, who is also the patriarch of Idumu Usuma community, Owa-Oyibu in Ika-NorthLocal Government Area of Delta State, said in letter entitled: “To My Fellow Elder statesman, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark”, that: “I am speaking in this wise because it is clear to me that you may just be using your new found influence at the Abuja corridors of power to oppress younger ones and this is repulsive for men of our age.” Iweriebor, who was moved by the recurring disagreements the Ijaw leader has been having with the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, said: “I have watched very keenly, the utterances of my fellow statesman, Clark, for sometime now and I am compelled to use this medium to speak to him as my friend”. He tasked Clark further: “Why must you be the umbrella under which every person that has the minutest complaint against the government of Delta State take cover? Have you as an elder, trodden the path of uniting the Peoples Democratic Party in concert with the governor and failed before treading this strange political path for a man of your age? Elders must carefully and painstakingly work for peace in their societies, but asking the National Chairman, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, to dissolve the PDP executive in Delta State was certainly not intended to achieve peace,” he stated. He also accused Clark of double standards. He noted that Clark’s Foundation for example collected N18 million donation from Delta State Government while the chief made so much noise about rejecting a car presented to him as birthday gift by the Uduaghan administration. “Does this expose you as espousing dual standards of morality? Do you use your teeth to share meat that you forbid? , No! I strongly disagree with this method. As elder statesmen, our every actions and utterances must be geared towards teaching the younger ones how to live uprightly,” Iweriebor said. He urged Chief Clark not to set bad examples for the younger ones who have reasons to emulate some of his past achievements. http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=180212 |

IBB For President: An Exercise In Futility It pains me to the marrows anytime I read IBB’s useless and unwanted stories on the pages of our newspapers and magazines concerning his presidential bid in 2011. I get offended, and feel totally devastated that we still allow the hopeless, shameless, and the bloody dictator to grace the front pages of our newspapers and magazines, talking nonsense and forcing me to remember the tragic pains and sorrow of yesterday which I copiously documented in a book for posterity. I have cursed the day IBB came to power in Nigeria because that was the day all the devils in the world landed in Nigeria, and the centre could no longer hold as anarchy was loosed upon Nigeria. If Nigeria is not a failed nation that works for those who failed it, tell me the reason why IBB at 70 will want us to vote for him as president in 2011? Do you promote somebody who scored zero in all subjects in an examination to the next class? If Nigeria has not excelled hopelessly in several dubious departments, no newspaper or magazine worth its salt in Nigeria will allow its front page to be used to celebrate a man that ruined and destroyed Nigeria, a man deficit in honour, deficit in character, deficit in integrity, a man without shame, a man who cannot be trusted. There are thousand and one reasons why IBB must not preside over any serious office in Nigeria again, even as a local government chairman. Just like General Abacha, IBB’s tenure was characterised by sectionalism, state sponsored killings, crass sycophancy, brazen mismanagement, arrogance, violent rule, nepotism, deception, press gag, destruction of judiciary, destruction of democratic institutions, stigmatization of Abuja, violation of international protocol and diplomacy, looting of national till, reducing Nigeria to a pariah nation, annulment of free and fair elections, suppression of pro-democracy and human rights activists, putting Nigeria in a state of war, setting ethnic groups against one another. During his administration, he violated Nigeria’s secular status, created dubious millionaires and billionaires overnight, destroyed Nigerian armed forces, sowed seed of discord among 150 million Nigerians, wasted 40 billion Naira in a Transition Programme he never believed in. This list is endless! Make no mistake about it, whatever Nigeria is going through today was kick-started by IBB in 1985 and he sealed it up on June 23, 1993. Since June 12, 1993 Nigeria has not held a free and fair election and it may continue to elude us if the likes of IBB is not brought to book. Until we have the courage, the boldness and the political will to deal with the enemies of Nigeria, the world will continue to laugh at us. No nation rises above its potentials. The nation is what the leaders have made it and I do not care whether those leaders were civilians or military men. In body language, IBB may be pretending that all is well, trying to be fearless and unperturbed in the face of mounting criticisms against his inordinate ambition but beneath the bravado is a man whose past hunts him to hell. My good friend and wonderful writer Olaitan Ladipo once educated us on the English expression of the words whistling in the dark. He says ‘it is all about someone walking alone in the forest at night, whistling as he goes along. He is whistling so that people will think he is not afraid, whereas the real reason he is whistling is because he is afraid’. In all this, I have one advice for IBB: withdraw from the race now and go and join others in searching for the man that will lead Nigerian out of crisis you created in the first place. Do not deceive yourself. Nobody goes to the market to purchase a basket thinking that he or she can use it to fetch water. Even the basket seller knows it is an impossible task. The truth is that Nigeria has moved beyond the likes of IBB. Actions carry consequences! http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2010/08/03/ibb-for-president-an-exercise-in-futility/ |

As per the ^^^,with the heart-warming departure of Sol Campbell, imminent departure of Billy Goat Gallas and long-expired Silvestre, our tissue-thick defence line has all but vanished, what with clowns we parade between the posts as 1st and 2nd choice keeper ![]() Yea yea,I know we still gat Verminator,Djourou and Kilishi(three guys that are nowproneto injury),this is scant consolation The signing of Laurent Koscielny is good but not enough cover for a full season,we still need to sign Per Mertesacker(if Arsene can pull this coup off, then he'd be the man) or three solid and TALL,defenders;one left full back, one central and one right full back,oh he needs to sign a good keeper,a VERY GOOD KEEPER for us to have any hope of competing for the EPL title this season.I've had enough of all the excuses |
