OP, please pay attention to this advise and I pray you will follow it. Carchoice: The mistake you’ll ever make in life is fighting uncles/aunties over your late fathers property. It’s not a lost battle but it’s a waste of time and resources to me.
Leave them to do their thing. It doesn’t mean you are a weakling or scared but don’t fight over property’s with them. Just don’t do it.
Surprise them on the date of the burial by showing up to pay your last respect or better still you can shun it. Your father is dead already.
Don’t fight over property o!!! If they want to take it by force. Leave it for them and work for your own. You can always do more with the life ahead of you. |

sinkhole: but why will somebody want to kill people like these? But since you said you're related to them could you please throw some light as to what could have led to their demise? We the family got a call early hours of Friday morning being the 22nd of November 2019 that a neighbor of theirs woke up early in the morning to use the tap. And my cousins apartment is close to where the tap is. She noticed their parlour door was slightly open and my cousin lying on the ground in an usual position with his son lying on him. She quickly called another family member that stays in the same compound with them but different rooms and told him to go and check on his brother and family. Because she saw his brother in an awkward position. On reaching the apartment, he met the door open, and Greg was lying on the floor dead with his son's head on the father's chest. The son was dead too and the wife was like two feet away from them. Lying dead. The things in the sitting room shows there was a struggle, he was foaming from his mouth with blood and so was Linda his wife. There were signs of torture too. The police were called and the bodies deposited in the mortuary. The two year old baby was just sitting there looking at the corpse when family members got there. As far as we know, he only complained about having issues with his landlord over some money he is owing the landlord. And that was recently. He is not a politician. We are still in shock and bewildered as to who will want them dead. There are so many unanswered questions right now. He is very intelligent and focus. He has a degree in psychology and holds a master degree too. His wife Linda was a quiet woman . For now we just don't understand what transpired that night. He was seen on Thursday when he closed from work and came home. |

They were strangulated. He is my cousin. A very intelligent and promising young man. The eldest child of his parentsHes very articulate and has a master's degree. The wife died with pregnancy. She is equally very intelligent. Both parents of Greg and wife are alive. It was really a black Friday for the family. |

Kelvin30286063 Thats how mine kept telling me everything was ok and no one was pressuring me until he got another lady pregnant. It is normal for your wife to feel that way, I felt same way each time I see my period. She knows her home is secured when she has a child. You can never trust a man that says I don't care about kids you have me. I am talking from experience. The next thing is another woman is pregnant and the family tells you, you know the child is our blood we can not reject the baby. Your wife needs all the support she can get. Her worries will alter how her body works. I hope and pray you hold her hands all through and both of you walk together in conquering it. She will surely get pregnant. But I must say that the period of waiting is not an easy one. God help you both.
post6: My wife and I got married almost a year ago. Last November. Before that we dated for about 6 years before we got married and we were always very happy. We do everything together and everything was just perfect. Now after our marriage, the first 5 months was blissful until she started expecting pregnancy. At first she was not worried, neither was I.
I have actually never been worried cuz I know it's definitely early and we have all the time in the world (she's only 25) Now she's going into a state of depression. Every month she will be so expectant that she will start looking out for all pregnancy symptoms as if her life depends on it. Then once she sees her menstrual cycle, she comes very depressed and sad. I hate to see her sad. Infact it gives me so much pain when I see her sitting alone looking so moody and unhappy and I have tried so many times to speak to her, convince her that she needs to be patient. Though she always lighten up whenever I do but that happiness is only short lived cuz as soon as she see her MP again, the sad face comes bad.
On the pregnancy front, we've done some tests are different hospitals and they told us that we are both medically okay. The doctors advice we take things slow and not worry about it but she's not listening to any of that. The most annoying part is nobody is pressuring her. My parents are very understanding people and they have not even mentioned it at all since we got married. So what the heck is wrong with her! I understand that over the years, she must have noticed my obsession with babies and she's really eager to make me happy but at this point, I'm ready to give that up as long as she is happy.
She just saw her menstrual cycle today, she's been moody all day and that mood is gradually killing me. I think I'll just stay away from her for some months so I can get my woman back. At least she will be happy if she's not expecting any positive result at the end of the month? |

In fact the latter group are even the most guilty ones. roaringlamb01: i would like to add that, 1. the whole discussion was in cooperation with my wife. Who was disappointed at their behavior. 2. Also, that she did speak with them, they didn't change.
3. I also wonder why the focus of most people is on the fact that I asked them to leave, and not the over-staying, which is the topic of this post. were they supposed to stay forever. 4. Has anyone gone thru it? How did they handle it? OP I can relate to this o. It's really annoying having in laws coming to stay and they won't want to go back. They end up making you a prisoner in your own house. You can't watch your favourite channel cos in law will feel bad. Especially the lazy ones with an attitude like those your own way you the talk. I will send them packing too. You did the right thing jor. Their fathers house is there. What Is chasing them from staying there? Two grown able bodied men for that matter. |

BLS1: Later they will be competing for the most educated ethnic group in the country award.
A four star General did no have N500 or money to clear his dustbin but rides in the latest Toyota Tundara filled with fuel, hires the best SANs to fight his case and all his family members remain comfortable in the USA.
I'm sure the harrowing pictures we saw of his bullet ridden gigantic belly was because of all the garri he has been forced to drink because of the EFCC.
Even if you believe it was an assassination ( which i kind of do for other reasons anyway), this silly story that a General drove to a remote farm without N500 being peddled by his extended family makes me wonder if Nigerians are among one of the most stupid sentimental people in the world.
I'll leave you with Mohammed Abacha's legendary words " No matter how much money the FG seizes from us, we can never be as poor as Dangote".
Nigerians should keep feeling pity for thieves. I beg thank you. Help me tell them. |
Family › Re: What Should I Do Now??? by Rayes3: 8:55am On Dec 09, 2018 |
omoskenso: 1) she's your wife which makes that place her house a claim your brother cant make unless you're dead, so he should learn to live by her rules of coexistence.
2) she's 24 & his 19, she's older and can issue a slap if she feels disrespected as a senior
3) A man should not hit a woman not to talk of another man's wife (how was he brought up??)
4) there's an underlying issue here that you failed to see as the head of the house, the slapping was to me as a result of previous accumulated events (either she has been slapping him since and it has gotten to a point of retaliation or they both despise each other) what am saying is, it didn't just happen that day because of mere water!
5) she has right to send him on errands so long he stay under her roof, feeds him and the water isn't it for the general house??
6) your brother is stupid and disrespectful (you too can get a slap from him one day) how do you refuse an errand from someone older, your elder brother's wife and expect to go free!
Imagine Aisha Buhari been slapped by a Governor for whatever reason (weather his democratically elected or not) it would be seen as a slap to Mr president himself, though her position is ceremonial but she's accorded almost same respect as her husband and the said Gov must be punished directly or indirectly but he must feel the venom and nothing would justify his actions
In all sir, do not focus on the slap rather the cause of the slapping, there is a rift between them and your brother continous stay in that house belittles your wife even after resolution( how does she endure the presence of a boy that slapped her and your brother will definitely cross her path some other time)
Do the needful or you might just come home 1 day to meet your brother dead of food poisoning or your wife in the pool of her blood. Awesome and fair judgement. From a matured mind. |
