Please correct that headline, it smacks of propaganda or at best, it's misleading! |
When will Nigerians understand that all men are created equal? Anyone in public office puts himself/herself up for mockery, insults and ridicules, while everyone will not agree with the president, their rights to free speech must still be respected and protected by the President. If Odumakin spews hate speech or libelous utterances, then by all means seek damages in the court of law! Insulting a public office holder is not a crime, and Mr. President is not superior to any other Nigerian! When did you conscript every Nigerian into the Military that makes the C-in-C the supreme officer? |
When the world takes two steps forward, Nigerian leaders take our country a step backwards. Does this Army CS have advisers? Why would anyone advise this guy that by simply creating a different unit for females in the army, that he is singularly announcing to the officers that a female army officer is not equal to a male army officer! While that might not be his intentions, but by failing to run this idea by any meaningful focus groups or advisers before announcing it to entire world, his action just sent women in the army back 5 decades! I am sure that Queen Amina of Zaria and Joan of Arc would have hoped that in the year 2019, ranking members of their unit would have come to see them as equals and not someone that needs to be accommodated. I can imagine how hard it is for any woman in uniform to be accepted as equals right now, but that has just been made harder by this singular act of the Army CS. Smfh for our leaders! Maybe the NBA, NASS, NGF, ICAN, FCS (or whatever acronym the federal civil service is known by) etc, should set up a different track for their female members too. FYI @ArmyCS, if you want more women involvement, recruit more women, promote more women and put more women in visible position of authority, seek more input from women currently in or were in service. This will go a long way in making your agency reputable for women to want to join up. I don't know what your next idea is, for your sake and for the sake of the female members of your family, it better not be making the newly created NAWC responsible for feeding the battalion fighting insurgency in the NE! |
All these last minute meetings and photo-ups looks to me like he's trying to curry global goodwill and possibly scout out potential asylum destination. Like most of the Arab countries, I know Qatar doesn't have that many extradition treaties/agreements--probably none!, So while they may want us to believe he's talking about visitor's visa's for Nigerians, he might actually have gone to discuss his impending self-exile and search for a host country to ride out PMB's next Level EFCC! The charge sheet that awaits this guy after leaving office is longer than an average arm, and Kwara State hasn't even opened their books to the EFCC/ICPC since he left office. He knows he can't hide under his British passport, because the UK has ET with Nigeria, and going by Ibori's experience, the UK is no haven for his likes anymore, and so is most of the western oasis, just as long as the EFCC is motivated to prosecute financial crime committed. In Nigeria, when you are SP and determines who gets what committee chairmanship, 50 senators show up with you to court, and the camera follows wherever you go. When you control the budget of the NASS, you can hire 100 SANs to make a mockery of the judicial system. Power is truly indeed transient! It's even more so, when you fail to do what is right for the electorates in a democracy. Leader of a political dynasty today, global asylum seeker tomorrow! Lesson to all those in power! |
This dirty looking restaurant is where Nigerians are not allowed? What a pity, I wouldn't stop here, let alone sit down to eat in there. |
He needs to be proactive this time around rather than the reactionary policies of the last four years. Here's a proactive approach to electioneering: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0xNYtw5KDU

Congratulations to her, here's hoping she realizes that no matter what the court says, a son will always need his father. i hope she doesn't shut the father out of his son's life. they'll forever share a bond as they both created a "life" together---so, be civil in all things my dear. Here's how we can differ on an issue and still be civil about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0xNYtw5KDU

This is how the bubble builds---half of the people in that room do not have PVC, another third that have, didn't participate in the election. Yet, they are the ones being hosted to dinner by the president and, the family and friends of those that perished trying to get PMB re-elected haven't even gotten a call from him. This is your last chance to leave a lagacy of truly caring about the ordinary people of our country, please don't let the circle of elites and their deceptive smile and sycophancy draw you away from the people again this time around. enuff said! Meanwhile, see a new dawn in the political fight over who becomes the new governor of Nasarawa State here: https://youtu.be/I0xNYtw5KDU

Anyone has the oficial result from Kwara State? |
While I will admit that PMB didn't do himself any favor by insinuating that the Ganduje's alleged corruption video were doctored, I want people to understand that there are other factors that will prevent PMB from actually prosecuting Ganduje at this time. Being a sitting governor, Ganduje enjoys immunity from prosecution, and since the Kano State House of Assembly failed to do the needful, he Ganduje is beyond prosecution until such time that he no longer enjoys such protection under the constitution. Like it or not, Fayose was a beneficiary of such constitutional protection, hence the reason he's just being asked to answer for alleged violations of the criminal codes of conducts, months and days before he took office as the governor of Ekiti State. Also, the accusation that this government's fight against corruption is only geared towards the opposition, nothing could be further from the truth. This is an example of falsity repeated over and over again, that has become a pseudo-truth among the opposition, and their media darlings, and even amongst the independent media. However that may be, a pseudo-truth will never pass for truth on closer inspection. Saraki was an APC member and Senate President when he was charged to court for false asset declaration, he fought tooth and nail for his personal freedom and his political career. He was cleared by the highest court of the land, rightfully so or not, is irrelevant. And when PMB congratulated Saraki on the victory, he was vilified. PMB has been steadfast in his treatments of allegations; Every man remains innocent until proven otherwise by a competent court of law! PMB is not law unto himself, but a law abiding individual charge with enforcing the laws of the nation. The allegations against the SP president didn't stop PMB from working with him in his capacity as the head of the legislative arm of the Government, neither did he stop working with Ayodele Fayose in his capacity as the Governor of Ekiti State. Why are we all of a sudden demanding that he should condemn Ganduje? I don't remember the president, in his official capacity ever condemning Saraki or Fayose, even while the former was being prosecuted, and the latter's case being prepped for such a time when he no longer enjoys constitutional immunity. The reason why the opposition wants PMB to go out of character this time is simply because of the importance of Kano State to the electoral fortunes of any would be president, plain and simple! That said: To all the media, here's the answer to your questions and stop playing "got ya" with PMB and stop letting yourselves be used by the opposition! On Ganduje: Like Fayose and several others that have had to answer questions regarding their stewardship of the affairs of their states, the law enforcement agencies are assuredly doing their jobs, and if they have questions upon completion of their investigation, they would invite him to clarify any issue they may have--like they always do, when they are constitutionally able to do such. Until such a time, I remain President, and he, the Governor of Kano State, both of us members of the FEC and the ruling party. On one sided fight against corruption: I would ask you to get a detailed list of all the people that were charged, had cases and still have cases in court and check their political affiliation.
