City driving -windows down. Highway driving- windows up. My reason is this.
For a few minutes (or hours) each day when we do our Iyana Ipaja- Lekki runs, our AC compressor is going flat out, taking power from the engine and in addition both the internal blowers and the electric condenser fans are working hard to cool the car down, causing the alternator to work hard to power them and loading the engine further. Windows down definetely eliminates this need. But if this same car is then used for a long journey,let's say Lagos to Abuja, after perhaps ten minutes, once the internal temperature is reduced comfortably, the AC throttles itself back – its done the hard work, now it only needs to keep the car cool and so now the fuel consumption returns to a much more acceptable level. That's why our ACs seem cooler on long distances than in city driving. Its less stressed, so the engine is also less stressed as well, giving an overall efficient performance. If however, you are still bothered about your consumption rate which may range from negligible to ubiquitous, you may, regardless of driving condition, roll up your glasses and cut off the AC, using only the fan. That way you get the economy and a feeling of comfort. Personally, windows up, AC or not, city or highway. Can't stand dust in car.

That Sequoia is most likely the same model year as yhur Tundra. Its not a 2005. Anyways, yhu have yhurself a good deal. Just do the necessary checks and if all pan out well, then go for it. Maintenance shouldn't be different from yhur Tundra's cause one is a version of the other. Dunno which.

In the 1990s, my dad was given a J80 (1990-1997) which had its exhaust along the pillar in front just like that of the coaster bus, that car is one rugged no holds bared mule, it goes every where and anywhere and was as comfortable as being in a SPAR.

The land cruiser should be respected by the rest of those cars including the chairman that added the infiniti series.

Yhu're very correct. However yhu should understand that these vehicle spec are produced and purchased nowadays without the intention of taking them offroad. Who would want to scratch that expensive one off paintwork in the name of climbimg rocks? Yhur dad's landcruiser was designed for such purposes, mostly base spec, their only comfort option being air conditioning. From the G wag to the 450, they're basically large cars with very limited off road ability (cept probably for the LS). Anyways, my pick, the GL450. For the bae to do her school run.

The Toyota Mirai

If there is any car solely designed to induce convulsions or more kindly vomitting, this 2015 Mirai has to take the cake. Powered by hydrogen, this car is definitely designed to punish those running from the costs of petrol under the pretence of going green. If you think the exterior is awful, the interior is simply..... like a confused spaceship.
