Can you advise me on transportation to book from London(Heathrow airport) to Glasgow. Arrival time is around 4:30pm. I saw British Airways for 9:00pm but they won’t allow me carry the full luggage(23kg*2) except for business class which is costly.

How exactly do they go about getting the links?

Do they liase with the employers here in uk
Or do these employers get a cut from what the agents are charging naija people

Or the agents just simply do the hard work of looking for employers in need of staffs oversea willing to sponsor, and they charge naija people for the stress they went through for finding the employer

In any case, no I was not "demeaning" the "good work" of the OP, but making a point as to why he was initially being coy and going round the houses about information that is freely available and not predicated upon access to a tax consultant.

You may not have to pay UK taxes on foreign income if your permanent home is NOT in the UK.

Let me quote the section of the tax law here - "UK residents who have their permanent home (‘domicile’) outside the UK may not have to pay UK tax on foreign income"

So the question is, where is your permanent home?

Permanent home is defined by the UK Tax law as the country your father considered his permanent home when you were born.

I am a Tax Consultant so let me advise you for free. The taxes that individuals who are resident in the UK pay is called Income Taxes.

The only opportunity you might have to AVOID paying taxes on this your income is to prove that you earned these incomes before you became a UK resident. That is the only way. If you continue to earn this income even when you have become a UK resident, then you have to make a self assessment and file this tax before HMRC.

I got a Band 3 HCA offer but the HR lady I'm liaising with says that they don't sponsor that level unless I'm earning £25060 and that HCA is not on shortlist occupation list. But based on what you've just posted, I see she isn't correct. Can I challenge this with her, and go ahead to request for sponsorship. I really want d job, cos it has prospect for career growth, which is my main focus.

Someone on tier 4 should really be aspiring for more, band 2 is not great start for a post grad degree holder. He should not have a closed mind to the other many opportunities out there.

He is yet to start the job but his tier 4 visa expires mid next year. He is keen on this job because it's a stone throw to his accommodation and he is not planning on moving anywhere else for now. Any advice regarding sponsorship?

No, that's not quite right. For admin/project support roles and its likes, there's no sponsorship at band 3 but for HCA roles and it's like, yes.

Cus if they are under nhs, i wonder why a lot of them do not do COS since nhs usually do COS.

Yes, they do but most Trusts only sponsor from band 5 and above. Some Trusts in inner London will sponsor from Band 4 but you'll need to make your case and show that they can't do without you but it's rare.

Is the 30% credit card rule applicable to shopping cards that offer buy now pay later plans. E.g the Argos card with say £800 credit limit. Cos when you buy say an item for £200 for 3 months, the £200 is deducted from you limit. Does that mean you won’t use the card till you pay that off in the assumed 3months. Or the £200 is just for that month n you can continue you 30% rule the following month on the other amount left.

Cos I believe if you have to pay the first monthly 30% off before making another purchase then it beats the whole buy now pay later offer on the card. Anyone with knowledge on this subject.

I got a job offer from NHS to work as a Data Analyst accompanied with Tier2 /sponsorship visa. I currently work as an IT service desk technician in a private company and I must say, it’s wonderful working here (my current company). My boss put in a word for me and the company is ready to sponsor me so they intend to put in an application to the home office to be a sponsorship licensed employer so I can be sponsored. Also, I’ll move to another department to work as a Data Analyst. I really have no Idea how the NHS works but would like to hear from experienced folks. If you were in my shoes, what will you do? Thanks
