Guys, please help me out, I'm really confused here about something.

I looked up Stan Kroenke's wealth estimate in wikipedia and found out that he is worth 2.1 billion dollars, according to forbes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._Stanley_Kroenke

According to Sky Sports, Stan Kroenke is about to launch a takeover bid for your club worth 650 million pounds http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=477799&CPID=8&clid=3&lid=2&title=Kroenke+set+for+Gunners+bid.

650 million pounds == 1,333,215,000 dollars, which is more than half of Kroenke's wealth. shocked

My question is, why would a sane man invest more than half of all his wealth in Arsenal? huh

I don't get it. . . I just don't get it.

If he invests this much in the club, he wouldn't be a Billionaire anymore. shocked

Stars out for Blues' Hollywood bash

Football has been given a Tinseltown makeover as Chelsea FC held an exclusive showbiz party at a mansion in the Hollywood Hills.
John Terry, Frank Lampard and co swapped their soccer strips for designer suits and were given permission to let their hair down for the night at the celeb-filled bash, where the invites declared the team were "painting the town blue".

Sex And The City star Kristin Davis came along to party but seemed fairly bemused about the invasion of British football stars in LA. When asked if she was a soccer fan, the actress shouted back to journalists: "Yes, I have to say yes!"

Ex-pat Lady Victoria Hervey didn't seem too thrilled about having the Beckhams as her new neighbours.

"It's really quite a hype for us guys who were living here before, but I'm kind of happy that I was the first Victoria over here!"

She also quipped that she hadn't come to the party to learn the offside rule: "I prefer the men!"

Actor Jonny Lee Miller couldn't hide his delight that his favourite team were in town.

"I'm a (Chelsea) season ticket holder back at home and I don't get to go too often so I'm thrilled."

Jonny explained he's already booked his ticket for the Blues match on Saturday against LA Galaxy: "I will (be there] with bells on."

I don't think it would be a bad idea to give Paris one of our players? grin cheesy

I think we should bring Paris Hilton to London.

Oya, which of our players are still single? I'ld have given her Scott Sinclair (A.K.A. Fine boy), but he's too young for her (17). Mikel is not a bad idea, although, she might be a racism bitch! embarassed

Maybe we'll just give her Roman, that's if she hasn't set her eyes on him already! grin grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Razorr(f): 11:28am On Jul 19, 2007
Hmmmmm. . . It seems the boys are having a swell time in LA with Paris Hilton (According to the Sun).
Tennis ace Serena Williams, hotel heiress Paris Hilton, model Kimberley Stewart and socialite Victoria Hervey have all been getting to know John Terry and Co.

I also heard that Roman is going to join the boys in LA.

Kitaun, me sef I tire o. These scummies can be so new. Talk about over-hype.

If Tevez is the god that you guys are trying to paint him to be, then why did the Brazillian defence tame him like a puppy in the Copa America final?
If Brazil could tame him, then are you underestimating defences in the Prem? shocked
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Razorr(f): 9:32am On Jul 19, 2007
My only advice to manure fan's is that if they want tevez that badly, they should organise for some of their tout fans to go kill Kia Joorabchian.  grin   cheesy
That shouldn't be so difficult anyway, since most of their fans are touts or criminals, e.g. some of those on this forum.  tongue
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Razorr(f): 9:29am On Jul 19, 2007
Banderas:
Actually this has nothing to do with United whatsoever. The fact is that if United buys Tevez and West Ham doesn't get the money, then the premise under which West Ham escaped relegation last season becomes void, and Sheffield United will sue. As a result, West Ham must ensure that all the requirements set by the FA are met, in order to ensure their remaining in the premiership.
Good. So it's a case of a deadlock. Or do you think the F.A. would agree to eat their words? It would be too embarrasing. I can promise you all that Tevez would be playing in a West Ham shirt next season. It would take some time for this issue to be resolved. Don't expect any magic from Fifa, as the F.A.'s men there would do everything to stall any decision that would be embarrasing to its rep. grin grin
