Given what the Christian community in northern Nigeria has been subjected to, I despise and have nothing but contempt. I pray every day for the restructuring or redefinition of Nigeria. Through out my stay in Kano I had free access to alcohol. There are a lot of beer parlours in Sabon gari.

I served in Benue and I can tell you that Fulani herdsmen have no religion. Most of them have never set foot in a school, mosque or church before. They are not acting on behalf of the Nigerian government. The crisis in Benue has been around before we were born, Farmers are protecting their crops while the Fulanis are nonchalantly trying to destroy their crops in other to feed their cattle or get access to grazing and watering grounds . Same thing in Kogi, The farmers will resist naturally and most times results in violent altercations. This leads to reprisal attacks and the cycle of violence continues. The Fulani herdsman doesn't know God, his god is his cattle.

And this is where the Nigerian government have failed terribly. They have refused to ban open grazing and they let these attacks slide without taking any concrete action to stop it.

It is our government we should be holding accountable which is why I like what DT did.

It is a very very good thing that the US spoke about this because at the end of the day even if they don't come to Nigeria. I traveled to Kano recently. Go and see how the Igbo community in that state is thriving surrounded by Muslims. You will not even know you are in the North, same thing in Kaduna. A lot of Northerners are also successful traders in the south and can practice whatever religion they choose.
