Yes, there are cases where Muslims are separated and allowed to go while male Christians are killed and their women and children are abducted.

If the Muslims choose not to complain when affected, what can anyone do? Some Muslim leaders see the bandits as their warriors in the forest who should not be touched. They are granted amnesty while their victims continue to suffer. How is that fair or just?

We know that both Muslims and Christians are being killed. Unfortunately, for Christians, they're permanently displaced and their burnt Churches are rarely rebuilt. Gwoza and Chibok areas of Borno had a high concentration of Christians. Many of them are now IDPs far away from home including Cameroon, their lives totally destabilised. Same for many Plateau and Southern Kaduna villages. Why are they not allowed to go back to their homes and farms? Why should strangers take over their place with no restitution from the government?

There's enough recorded evidence of all these. The NGOs and Americans who complained have been involved in helping some of the communities for years so they have documentary evidence.

And there are people in this country who are hell bent on making us believe in the idea of a Christian genocide when 90% of terror victims are Muslims in Zamfara, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Borno and Naira. Through out my stay in Kano I had free access to alcohol. There are a lot of beer parlours in Sabon gari.

I served in Benue and I can tell you that Fulani herdsmen have no religion. Most of them have never set foot in a school, mosque or church before. They are not acting on behalf of the Nigerian government. The crisis in Benue has been around before we were born, Farmers are protecting their crops while the Fulanis are nonchalantly trying to destroy their crops in other to feed their cattle or get access to grazing and watering grounds . Same thing in Kogi, The farmers will resist naturally and most times results in violent altercations. This leads to reprisal attacks and the cycle of violence continues. The Fulani herdsman doesn't know God, his god is his cattle.

And this is where the Nigerian government have failed terribly. They have refused to ban open grazing and they let these attacks slide without taking any concrete action to stop it.

It is our government we should be holding accountable which is why I like what DT did.

It is a very very good thing that the US spoke about this because at the end of the day even if they don't come to Nigeria. DT have drawn attention to the matter which would keep our politicians on their toes like we have seen over the past few days since his announcement. Everyone is now speaking up which is good. I traveled to Kano recently. Go and see how the Igbo community in that state is thriving surrounded by Muslims. You will not even know you are in the North, same thing in Kaduna. A lot of Northerners are also successful traders in the south and can practice whatever religion they choose.

Yes! there are armed terrorists and bandits in many States in Nigeria from the northeast, to northwest, middle belt and south east that propagate evil many of which have nothing to do with religion. I served in Benue and most of the Fulanis I met do not have a religion and have never set foot in a school, mosque or church in their entire lives.

Nigeria’s real problem is state failure, weak justice, and impunity, not a one-sided religious extermination campaign. And the US is very much welcome to come and help us shake the table and clear out terrorists but they should do so without falling for any agenda.
