Sincerely there is no basis for pomp and pageantry by politicians and their families at these trying times of deprivation, unemployment, kidnapping, unnecessary killings by militias and insurgents.

I wish the couple a happy married life!

Education / Re: Microsoft Supports Ghana Teacher Seen Teaching Computer On Board by realborn(m): 6:49am On Mar 02, 2018
Astonishing!!!!!!

This is the most purposive and steadfast act by any teacher in the world. Duplicating the MS Word window and appurtenances on a chalk board in 2018 all in a bid to teach students is the peak of determination to impart knowledge, and beyond being rewarded with free resources, his selflessness needs to be rewarded.

That said, with all sincerity, when will these primitive learning methods end in Africa? What do our leaders discuss at AU Summits?

sorry

This expression could have saved a lot of relationships, ended wars and kept lives. This is the best virtue you must uphold.

You made an erroneous remark, he came quite hard on you (though I think the reactions were quite harsh; at some point, I assumed he was the referred party with his continuous reference to your physical features, I doubt his gale if descriptions were solely deduced from your profile picture, lol).

Then you revised your post, and apologized to him once he explained the basis of his reactions. He also apologized and you both are happy. You continued with your search.

Absolutely excellent.

Stay positive and hopeful. I sincerely wish you success with your search. Indeed you need not spread your legs to get one!

Personal advice:
For all good efforts, please endeavor to attend a tertiary institution....

A romantically overbearing relationship, especially when it is overly expressed can be very daunting to the sangfroid one.

He looks healthy.

He is a rare survivor. Few will aptly recuperate from such accidents.

It implies that mortality rate can be reduced drastically with the right healthcare.

What of feedback on his co-biker friend? undecided

Why is the Minister looking at him like that as if in doubt in the second picture?

Why didn't Mummy lead the return contingent? To play down the importance?

Welcome back Mr Buhari. I wish you total recovery. I hope the root cause of your near death experience will be investigated and checks put in place by the President Buhari led government to forestall a reoccurrence by ordinary citizens who may not have access to the intensive and privileged treatment you received.

I recall, it was late November 1995, Mike Opara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu, I was in SS1, FGCE.

It was an event, perhaps, Child Right's Week. All schools within the city had collocated to celebrate one of the flagship events.

Then the Zigima King himself arrived, it was with a roar of acceptance, applause and excitement. His highlife performance was legendary as expected.

I sat in my oversized shirt and baggy trousers with my big head fascinated at the astuteness of creativity.

I am quite delighted that 23 years after, he is much active though the center now belongs to others. For today's centerholders, they will watch from the rear someday in the fullness of time.

Life in itself is vanity. Love is the only constant factor!

@Seun,

I will pay the fine for 3 of them.

Can NL pay the balance?

If these young men go to jail all because of their quest for the legitimate "hustle", it will be pretty sad!

Those who ought to be in jail are living in glass houses and basking effortlessly in their loots.

Do we have lawyers who can challenge the State on this law? The State should absorb them through their Union(s) ahead of proscription.

I see and feel no tangible inputs to nation building by the recent occupiers of this office though.

That a man was cleared a short while ago, does not imply he cannot be checked again if found wanting.

The travails of this government are quite simple. They are predominantly wired around ineptitude. It is quite easy to weed out if the will exists!
Celebrities / Re: My Take On The Movie; The Black Panther by realborn(m): 7:01am On Feb 20, 2018
kunnadej:

The bolded is 100% right but how can we tell our own stories when we unconsciously regard the whites as being superior? The idea is for the whole black race to wake up. When you are continually fed the same thing daily, you have no option than to believe it as the truth. When I was back home, I couldn't care less but you need to find out what the average black american thinks of Africans. You'll be shocked. We are sitting on a time bomb. The movies are passing across clear cut messages. I have witnessed this first hand and I know what I'm saying. There was absolutely no reason making the Black Panther an African affair. Americans are very smart people and I now understand why most blacks in America have problems despite appearing to have the same privileges as the whites. There is a systematic movement.

This isn't about race, it's about belief. A movie isn't just a movie. If it is, we won't have high divorce cases - even in Nigeria. Movies portray weddings as the ultimate fairy tale goal and a happily ever after endings. You won't have someone try to play hero in a robbery scene just because he watched it in the movies.

But if you believe its just a movie, you may be right. I enjoyed it as a movie, but the storyline didn't sit too well with me. It was something I had experienced and it was too much of a coincidence.

Great response Chief!

I think I am more preoccupied with the business, creative and success factors associated with the movie. I am not a sci-fi fan though. My wife dragged me to the cinema on Sunday, IMAX was fused with a ton of people. We willingly turned back even after we decided to see another movie.

I will really love to lead a production that will hit the box office worldwide. This is my utmost desire.

On the superiority of the whites, I am working hard to ensure my kids and their generation upturn that verdict. As at today, it seems too glaring that though not on individual levels, but on a trend summation and general assessment, the superiority of the whites whether from time immemorial or at present cannot be contested.

The black race needs to wear its thinking cap!

Good efforts to share your opinion @OP.

However I disagree with your perspective. Until the black man learns to do the needful to lead the world and tell his story, we should accept how anyone tells our story, absolutely no sentiments.

In my opinion, it is primarily business for the movie producers. When we lampoon the white man in our tales, I doubt they cry foul.

Imagine the entire black race is opportune to read your review, you would have sowed a gargantuan seed of discord in an already ignited world.

All I can learn from the movie hype is, how do I become part of the black revolution to make enormous returns and profit from a related venture? $404m has been grossed thus far! How do I break the race-based culture of unbridled consumption, to ignite unprecedented and unmatched creativity to be greater than any known benchmark? The white man has learnt to surpass inhibitions. Though I am yet to watch the movie, the greatest lesson in my opinion, will be for the black man to get serious and learn to break barriers.

No sentiments. I think everyone who watches the movie should see it as just a movie, and enjoy whatever is worth enjoying.

My 2 cents!

Shocked at the nature of comments above. shocked

We have become so dis compassionate. But for an infantile soul, everyone should rejoice at the herald of glad tidings from the theatre of war which has led to the premature demise of several innocent harmless persons and gallant soldiers/officers.

It is pernicious, baleful and noxious to trivialize the success of the troops by co-relating same with the herdsmen menace all in the parochial unsuitable tenet/credo of politics laced with disdain for one another. It is very hurtful to everyone who has lost a kith or kin to stealth market place or park driven snowball of reactive/explosivs fire hidden under garments.

My soul blesses every member of the Military who has assiduously and meritoriously put in apposite efforts since the advent of this unfortunate melee and for the gale of recent recorded consistent success. May wisdom to excel never depart from your midst. Special appreciation to the sagacious and adept commander, General Nicholas, he has exuded absolute professionalism, transparency and excellence.

We shall appreciate the FG for supporting the troops in the NE. We shall lampoon and lash at the FG for the shameful conduct and handling of the Herdsmen debacle. Both events are mutually exclusive!

Wowed!

Their excitement beggar belief that they are on their way to SF (Sambisa Forest not Silver Fox) as alleged by the Op, but then one could hear them chant "let's go there".

Such a number of female combatants (albeit very beautiful and fit too) will be a morale booster for the indefatigable gallant soldiers who have tirelessly fought against the menace of BH and its quasi foot soldiers.

Global experts have postulated that a suitable balance and mix of genders often lead to better performance and productivity at the workplace.

We pray the unbridled loyalty to the call to duty by these beautiful ones will not be cut short. May they join other combatants to victory.

I wish everyone of them well with a gale of love!

Everything else in life is a charade. Unlike the movies where the end somewhat defines the theme of the plot, the public may never unravel the mysteries surrounding these episodes until judgement day.

Above all, love God and your neighbors. Humans will always be humans!

If Otobo's supposed confession was accepted the other party will not villify her thereafter. Lessons to learn. Everyone should interpret as deemed fit...

My candid opinion.
Absolutely splendid!

In my days at OAU, Ife, I never imagined private Universities will spring up and effectively compete with the gargantuan Federal Universities in infrastructure and quality of learning. CU seems to have surpassed such expectations. I can only continue to wish the school well. The founders obviously had an amazing vision. The performance so far is commendable!

See how uninformed you are ...a christain? I am one too and live in the north east for your non factual brain there are more christians in the communities that are being attacked in the north than muslims in a 60:40 ratio and as much as 70:30 in some ...odeh

Why are you so bitter? Why can't you have a decent conversation?

To the subject, I had mentioned that the herdsmen debacle is more cultural. This does not mean Christians are not being killed in droves by the herdsmen. It only implies that the root causes of the senseless killings is not because they are Christians but because of the nomadic nature of a set of livestock farmers who have over the years encroached the farms/lands of others, destroyed crops without the government taking apposite steps, and have been further emboldened by the torpor and silence of this administration. How does this relate to Nigeria being unsafe for (majority of) Nigerian Christians (context of religion) as quoted by Reno in deference to a US body? There is no religious war. What we have is bad government and leaders. We all need to understand this and stop throwing tantrums at each other on social media.

I will let the insults pass.

omonnakoda:
I watched the video.
Nobody wiped the floor with anyone.
The level of shallowness, pettiness and childishness on this thread is puzzling.
I thought Reno was not at all prepared to talk about issues and rather wanted to make it personal.
We really need to learn how to disagree with respect and dignity.
The use of the word lie dishonest was uncalled.
Once we get into that we forget

What really is the issue.

In summary I thought Reno was petty and immature and diversionary. Spending time talking about his biography
His father,I can quote quran etc. What was the relevance of all that
