![]() If you do not have the capacity, do not seek nor aspire for a position you can’t administer over.. |
![]() Understand the underlying reason, counsel them, rehabilitate them, and monitor them; the real thieves are in power! Parading them half nude is roguery. Nb: She looks 15! |
![]() With undignified silence, confusion and falsehood will thrive. To effectively and consistently communicate with stakeholders (Nigerians, the World, & others) is a pertinent requisite at this trying times by the President. He has no absolute choice/discretion of “style of ignoble silence”; especially with the swarming of the locusts over the Rock. A beautiful picture in an office shall barely make a difference. The President should act presidential! |
![]() A rare Wife indeed. To others, it is folly. I wish you both quick recovery! |
![]() Unfortunately, the scenario explained though “accidental” to the owner, is classified as “wilful damage” by the supplier. LG stores now moot “Insurance” at a nominal premium to ameliorate and cover events of this nature. Obtaining requisite insurance policies for most things has become key and pertinent! On durability of the screen (getting bad at the slightest push), it may not be a contractual obligation from the seller to the buyer/customer, but I concur it may be a moral requirement for satisfactory end user/customer experience. |
![]() I saw him few minutes ago at the Abuja Airport. His transitioning process is indeed bewildering. |
I experienced it first hand. My driver and I were attacked along Lugbe Road. This has gone beyond Xenophobia. The monsters created by the society are out of hibernation. |
![]() When astutely blessed, you duly decipher and discern a person with a cerebral need; you barely ever get on the same level with trend based mediocrity. Splendid, informative and educative response from Mr F.Ote. |
Great gesture by your fiancée. But hey, do not rush into marriage with anyone. Not anyone. In similitude, do not rush into intimacy with her. It is obvious she intends to foot the bills. Stay modest through her stay. Do not be perturbed. Always remember, the paying party often dictates the tune. Thus don’t be excessive and seemingly vulnerable. I wish you both the very best. |
This is the true definition of non-self-seeking and qualitative selfless service during and post service. Pa Jakande should be the reference for superlative governance in Africa. This article is timely. A new dispensation beckons in few days. I sincerely pray Sanwo-Olu will transcend and surpass this record. I seek for greater wisdom and impact oh Lord. Thanks Autojosh (you are indeed a very rare role model in an age of absolute unbridled mediocrity). I love all your articles. |
Such a brilliant piece. Well done Runtown. Much respect!! |
Your mother, and if fortunate your spouse may likely be the real true life friends. Rest In Peace young Man. ![]() |
to the comments above. This bigotry/overly partisan diatribe is a technique adjudged very effective by certain elements and strategists to keep a very productive demography distracted. Let’s start to rise above this. We need to collaborate to keep Government in check. Congrats to Mr Emefiele. I think he has proven his mettle. |
Sad! I hope these are not caused by seismic waves from the environmental impact of activities in the nearby neighborhood of Victoria Island and Lekki exposing the inadequacies of these buildings. Several buildings within this area are very vulnerable. Lagos State needs to act urgently! |
Thank you. This piece blessed me, and led to further reading of the following: Venial Sin Mortal Sin Grave Sin Perfect contrition Imperfect contrition Absolution Anathema Thanks again |
@Op, From experience I will say, never underestimate the power of prayer at all times. Your prayer triggered faith which yielded result for the team. I relate this to everything I do. When faced with difficult situations, I pray for divine wisdom and breakthrough. This has never failed! |
This is so so adorable and beautiful! Only a beautiful soul can nurse chickens, be concerned and feel their emotions toward each other. |
This is the most brilliant post this year on Nairaland. Very commendable executive summary and assessment. Simple, objective, informative, concise and clear. Sincerely wondering why the FG maintained a very optimistic position on key inputs - price of crude, volume of crude, inflation rate, GDP growth, etc. They could have simply carried out a Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT =(Optimistic + (4*Most Likely) + Pessimistic)/6) to affirm the assumptions. At least we all will note that a technique and basis was considered for the decisions. By this budget analysis, borrowing is inevitable, commitment to Capital Expenditure may be bleak. This really isn’t good. When will Nigeria also commence efforts toward renewable energy in consideration of good environmental practices by reducing carbon footprint, reducing Ozone layer depletion and global warming. At this nonchalant rate, the world may carve a separate continent for Nigeria in 10 years; somewhat, we are the only Country who contributes nothing nor makes efforts to adopt global standards at solving environmental and socio-economic issues. Merry Christmas! |
So so sad! |
Impressive. I will contact you. |
TheFreeOne:Lol. Can’t tell. But I know he is a perfect gentleman... ![]() |
Some blunders though from a certified PRO.... |
Disarray.... ![]() On Tuesday there will be a monumental and significant paradigm shift in the political landscape of APC in Lagos. Ambode’s win alienates him from the party structure and humiliates his godfather. His loss will lead to a quagmire for the next 8 months. Mr Sanwoolu who I personally know and can attest to his very deft and adept skills to lead Lagos should have waited till 2023. Mr Tinubu could have forgiven Ambode considering his previous open display of apology. Fervently looking forward to how it pans out. This melodramatic malady, wog and lurgy will be historic. |
CoIdplay:Great. Good morning. Please check your mail. |
Impressed. May your savings multiply in leaps. If you do not mind, kindly show an immediate evidence (before 9am today) of your N50k savings (snapshot of available balance), I will be willing on your approval to give an additional N50k. Your ability to save over three times of your monthly income (despite earning a very basic sum, below the national minimum wage) speaks volume and proves a lot especially in these trying times. I pray other NLs can support you with the best advice and financial support. Stay blessed! lalasticlala, Seun - please let’s assist the OP |
Dr Aigbehi consistently expressed his displeasure at the challenges and insecurity affecting his business and that of others. The government barely acted. He promised to “decamp” to another country. Now he has started his sojourn at Liberia. In 5 years I am sure he would look back and count many blessings. Liberians will be the greatest beneficiary. The low-mid income earners are migrating in droves to Canada; wealthy business persons have towed the line of migrating to other African countries with all their resources. Shamefully no one seems to care. ![]() |
PrecisionFx:Lol. I give up! |
PrecisionFx:. Perhaps you should read my post again. You have not said anything different. The phrase, “Perhaps a good head just left” and other explanations simply imply that notwithstanding how good she may have been at her duty post, there is no basis nor excuse for her gaffe. She was not qualified for an exemption nor was it apt to procure a fake one! |
Mr NORSYIK is right. The moment she became “interested” in Public Office (whether by her desire or the wish of others) that has NYSC discharge or exemption certificate as a prerequisite, then, compliance became mandatory. Unfortunately, the controversial NYSC Act, subsection 2(2)(a) cites exemption for anyone who at the time of graduation is over the age of thirty. This implies that whenever you return to Nigeria and seem interested in activities that require NYSC, except for other conditions stated under the aforesaid subsection, you must serve! Not so logical considering that we may at different times, urgently require the expert services of Nigerians in diaspora who have in the past found no need to engage in activities within Nigeria requiring compliance with the NYSC act. Perhaps the authors of this act deliberately wanted everyone who graduates or graduated below the age of thirty to serve. I would have suggested an amendment to the subsection to cite exemption “for persons who apply when they are over the age of thirty”. Thus Madam Adeosun was not qualified fir exemption nor was it appropriate for her to obtain a fake one. I doubt there are other conspiracy theories other than she resigned as soon as her employers, the Nigerian masses, got wind of the anomaly and backed same with the verdict that she resigns. If it is true she was previously blackmailed by sharks, now she is free; at least it doesn’t seem the FG wants to prosecute her. Perhaps a good head just left. Perhaps a better head may be found to replace her. Do we need to revisit some sections of our bye-laws? Time will tell. My 2 cents... Throwback: |
Osun not Oyo |
![]() Why does the President always relate by proxy? PMB is obviously not dumb.... |
