TimeManager:They will be met with greater force for legitimately wanting to express themselves? You are a hopeless bastard and God go punish your miserable life. Who told your empty head that only obidients are the ones protesting. By your judgment as a human being, you believe the masses should keep mum with what the govt is doing with their lives abi. I dey always ignore fools like you before but una need curses from all directions to reset your brains and deter all you fools. Even if you are on govt payroll to make shameless comments online, don't you actually know when to stop. |
Ballotelle:Let's be realistic in choosing our battles man. The govt is not likely to have an immediate solution to reduce corruption as it is the way of life in nigeria for now. It is also unrealistic to think this govt at this time will go back on removal of fuel subsidy. What is more realistic is to ask for a living wage that can help us cope in the current economic realities. Remember the political class also have their fat salaries. Why don't you see anything wrong in that. What is good for the goose is good for the Ganda. Until the country comes to its senses and decides to reduce the jumbo salaries of the political class too, our demands on this occasion are in order. |
vanbonattel:This is the reason this country is stagnant. The thinking faculty of majority of you Nigerians is very stagnant. Will you say u are not aware that the result of the election was altered and so not the true interpretation of the people's voting. Instead of you to focus on the real issues una go dey open mouth repeat the same thing like dirty record inside turntable. Even if majority truly voted for tinubu, this is one year since the unfortunate incident occurred, must u still be crying over split milk by now. You and all others who make this type of comments need to get over it and look forward to preventing a repeat of the 2023 election or at least just reserve your comments. |
Mjshexy:I was really going to do this but you know Nigerians and their sentiments. They will tag you a bad Belle and start drama I just decided to mute the group activities till it becomes defunct. |
dominique:Just weird |
Sometime in February, I was replying some important whatsapp messages when I suddenly found myself added to a new whatsapp group by a random dude who has my number. This guy added me to a group that was created for the purpose of monitory contributions for the marriage ceremony of a mutual acquaintance. The group admin ever since has posted messages at intervals asking members of the group to contribute money for his friend's wedding. I know the guy who is about to wed quite alright but we are not friends and I'm not sure we have even had a phone conversation together. We just see once in a while and say hello. The guy getting married didn't even extend any wedding invite to me in person. And while I won't rule out the idea of gifting him for his wedding, I believe adding me to a group and asking me for money is absurd and annoying. Who else has encountered this kind of situation and how did you handle it.

T9ksy:Let southern Nigeria unite and take a stand. We will then weild enough power to confront the so called fulani power. For me, the southern stand is what the yoruba nation and ipob represent. This secessionist agitations are an opportunity we southerners should never sleep on. And I hate it when southerners make it sound as if we are slaves under the rulership of the northern fulani. Southern Nigerians should address this arise and confront the northern seeming dominate once and for all. We are even more enlightened than these people |
OriOko88:Bro, Assuming your assertion is true that corruption will still continue within yoruba nation if yoruba secedes, is that an excuse to remain in nigeria? Are we all (yoruba, housa, igbo etc) better of in this poverty capital of the world and the fantastically corruption country called Nigeria?. Let's be analytical as Youths, we are the hope of African. I give you my word that, if yoruba and igbos leave nigerian, corruption within the newly formed yoruba nation and Biafra will be reduced to the barest minimum. Why? Because these nations will go through a rebirth, a Renaissance and the people will develop a refreshed spirit of patriotism. Because the newly formed countries are homogeneous, the people of these newly formed nations will see the country as their personal project. Corrupt leadership will be eroded because the people will criticise and hold them accountable without tribal/ethnical bias (since the people of the nation are on one and the same tribe) All the world powers are very homogeneous countries, with the exception of the US. Let Nigerians wake up! |
franchasofficia:Kudos bro, Africans, esq Nigerians are not thinkers and that is the reason we are stuck backwards and underdeveloped. I am an unapologetic secessionist myself but many of our people still can see beyond their noses. Whenever we make a case for yoruba national and ipob, they will say secession is not the solution but good leadership. They fail to realize that a dead horse will not move even if you whip it for a year. |
Eunoiaa:Easy lady, no offence intended. We're not just quite used to Nigerian girls having their own lives. |
Eunoiaa:Fair enough. Just said mine so some ladies will understand the breakfast served to them when the time comes |
Carcholce:I understand this statement perfectly. But as you evolve as an individual, you will realize the importance of not letting the 'outside world' shape who you are. Life is like a farmland, it will give you back in many folds that which you give to it. Good or bad. |
Jashub:Interesting perspective. It's all mind games afterall |
Eunoiaa:Fair deal. The problem is that women want to eat their cake and have it. And I'm talking to African women here. Nigerian women in particular. You cannot demand monogamy from a man who already had his life together before you came along. If you were there to build a life from the scratch with him, yes you may be entitled to monogamy. But some of you won't even agree to split the cheque with him but want him to be focused on only you. No be juju be that. |
Sonnobax15:This is very funny. You no lie at all. But legend has it that a man can effectively neutralize negative emotions from a troublesome spouse by getting a side chic |
Carcholce:I don't quite agree. Yes, be unpredictable and mystical as a man, you are right on that. But being unpredictable is not the same as breaking someone's trust on an agreed pact |
Jashub:I agree with you for the most part. But imagine that you have a particular babe that was there when you were building your shit. She cheered you up when you were not yet wealthy and even supported financially. Will it be fair to take a second wife over her when you finally arrive especially if you are aware she wants monogamy. |
helinues:Polygamy does not necessarily translate to cheating. The deciding factor is the rules of your relationship. Did you or not promise you spouse monogamy? If you didn't, then God nogo vex if you go Polygamous later in the relationship. It's will not be cheating in that instance |
MrCork:Lol typo, been corrected |
Was having random gists with my gf some days ago when she popped a weird question. She was like 'hope you're not having any ideas about polygamy in this relationship' Although I responded swiftly dismissing any chance that I will be a polygamist. but then in my mind, I was like, is that really what I want? Being with the same woman for the rest of my life. It has bothered me for some days now and I realized that my answer to her that I won't take a second wife isn't entirely honest. This is a dilemma for me because personally my word is my bond. It's not my habit to say something and do the opposite. So it's scary that I have told this girl that I won't take a second wife. Is it just me or do most men low-key want multiple women to themselves? |
advanceDNA:Lol na typo |
I got curious about the hourly Minimum wage of some developed countries of the world. After a brief Google check, I discovered that the most popular countries are not necessarily the highest paying afterall. See the list below 1. Uk-------£11.44/hr 2. US-------$7.25/hr 3. France-----€11.65/hr 4. Australia-----$23.23/hr 5. Canada-------$12.32/hr 6. Germany-----€12.41/hr 7. Russia---------600 RUB ($7.15) Bonus 8. South Africa------27.58Rands ($1.46) 9. Ghana----------GHS 18.15/DAY (1 USD=13.4085 GHS) |
But if there's a way to enforce the new minimum wage in the private sector, it will be good news |
NLC recently proposed varying minimum wages across the 6 geo-political zones which falls at an average of N500,000 monthly. My concern on the one part is that prices of goods and services will suffer unexplained inflation due to so much money in circulation. On the other part, there's no assurance that the private sector will comply with the proposed minimum wages. The implication is that the purchasing power of the underpaid masses in the private sector will be further diminished. |
Although this message is targeted at the youths of Nigeria, we citizens of Nigeria in general seem not to have a full picture of the tasks at our hands in the discharge of our civic duties. We neglect certain Germane aspects of the democratic process and this neglect turns around to haunt us and undermine our efforts. One of such Germane aspects is intra-party politics. And by intra-party politics I mean intra-party primary elections. We need to start taking intra-party primary elections just as serious as national elections. The simple reason is that it is during primary elections that the choices that will be available to you on the day of national (real) elections are made. Let me break this down because this is a very critical point we must digest. Apc and pdp are undisputedly the parties to beat in any election in nigeria today. The presidential candidates presented by these parties were tinubu and atiku. These two were basically bad choices that seemed to have been imposed on us because they were the ones available on the ballots of the viable parties (apc and pdp). It then became a case of having to choose the lesser of two evils as our next president. I say now that there is a way to change that situation and avoid the lesser evil dilemma going forward. We must descend to the arena of party politics and be part of the process of voting for candidates at the primary elections (of apc, pdp and lp) so that we avoid the lesser evil dilemma at the real (national) election. If we had been involved in party politics, maybe a man like former vp osinbajo would have been apc's candidate while Peter obi, pdp's and the tinubulation we all endure today would never have happened. Let's stop Nigeria from happening to us and let us begin to take the destiny of this great nation in our hands. If we keep repeating the same things, nothing better will happen and things will get worse. If you think it can't get worse than this, wait for another corrupt president to emerge. Afterall we all thought nothing could be worse than buhari's administration. We can all see that this guys are not really different from each other and the moment they enter office, all we can do is complain. Let's step back and broaden our perspective. Peace. |
Believe it or not, Ronaldo and Messi are two of the greatest players to ever play the game. Though, I will not deny the fact that the emergence of social media is greatly responsible for showcasing their Era and time on pitch to be better than the likes of Pele and Maradona to name a few. Fandom and viewer participation which saw great advancements due to the social media revolution also contributed to the success of this duo above all other iconic footballers dead or living. The rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo has spiced up the world of football in a way that the game has never seen and it will be practically impossible to replicate the Era of this duo anytime soon. (Maybe 1000 years from now). Anytime I remember that their retirement is around the corner, my heart skips and I know that football for me will never remain the same. Look at what has become of the once highly competitive la liga. It's now a shadow of itself since the exit of the two greats. The highly sought after El clasico no longer brings the joy and tension it once did. Though, we will be counting on the likes of mbappe, Haaland or garnacho to keep the tempo up but Ronaldo and messi will surely leave a gap too wide for anyone to fill. As we know, all good things come to an end, but I believe we will always have the age long goat debate that will live on even when the two greats hang their boots. Whether you you are team Messi or a Ronaldo fan boy like myself, everybody who is privileged to witnesses their Era in football will forever cherish their memories. Both of them. I just personally dread the idea that the moment any of them announces retirement, the rest will be history and I will never see them live on the pitch again. Are you prepared to miss Messi and Ronaldo on the pitch?

Fahvvy:I think the idea is people will judge but then they do, Don't be bothered. Remember the biblical event where Jesus discouraged a mob from stoning an adulterous woman to death. He then told the woman to go and sin no more. God probably knows people need to do what they have to do in their moment of need but they must keep getting better as they get more empowered You said something about no compromising. Well, all humans are not equal in mental and physical strength but all humans must survive. The ability to persist without compromise is not just innate to some people. And yes, people should totally own up to the consequences of their actions. The biggest stigma remains poverty. People should just make sure anything they do that may bring stigma also gives them good money. The money will cure the stigma (yahoo yahoo comes to mind). In all, don't hurt nobody and that's it |
Deandean:In response to the embolden part, what do you think is the significance of the Biblical event where Jesus discouraged a mob from stoning an adulter to death. For me, the take away is that everyone has the tendency to be compromise good morals under the pressure of life, but the ability to turn a new page, evolve and do better as life goes on is what determines everyone's final score card in the sight of God. Jesus accomplished two notable things at that scene, he reminded the mob that they are not better than the adulterous woman and he admonished the women to go and sin no more. And about the slaves you mentioned, yes there will always be people who do these things for ignoble reasons. We can't generalise based on them |
Aaaaarghmed:Well, I hope they also understand the duty to do better as their life situations improve. This is not to encourage lazy girls who just ignore surrounding opportunities they can exploit and take the easy route of objectifying their body |
PoliteActivist:This is very fearless of her, especially being a politician |
I was once one of the multitudes of the world who despise prostitution and would berate those who partake of it. That has changed now and for a good cause. Man tends to become more critical and liberal with exposure to knowledge and information. And one thing my keen study and observations of humanity has revealed to me is that every man is out to survive by that which they readily possess. In other words, humans are wired to adapt and improvise to survive by their natural endowments. Also, every living being is selfish and this characteristic makes us hypocritical in a sense. Let me paint you a scenario. Nigeria's former VP osinbajo is a pastor. He has a daughter who had everything monetary taken care of since childhood and was also brought up in a spiritually conducive household. She is not likely to be motivated to prostitute herself for money in her lifetime. Such a daughter will be seen by society as better than her counterparts on the other side of the divide who do not have all the privileges available to the vp's daughter. Meanwhile, it is a virtual certainty that if vp's daughter were to swap circumstances with a prostitute, she would have opted to prostitute herself too. This write up is not necessarily to justify prostitution. It is to say that the world is full of pots calling the kettle black. Nobody in this world, and I say this with a deep sense of sincerity, has the prerogative to judge another over what they do for survival. As long as what you do does not harm another person or endanger the public, it is in order. I am unable to understand the rationale behind the promulgation of laws criminalizing prostitution. It's like saying a person should not make money from singing when there are people who are willing to pay money to hear him sing. This topic is a cursory ruling on the broader topic of self help in general. Don't let the facade of morality hold you back in your journey of life and pursuit of happiness. It is a personal race and nobody else truly understands your plight except you. The people who will pass judgment on your character do not have sufficient information about you. Only God can judge you. And know also that the world is not a perfect place for a reason. It has been imperfect since the beginning and will not be a better place. If God wanted a perfect world, do you think he will leave the task in the hands of human to perfect the world when he could have created it perfect from the onset. To this end, I'm not saying the world will or should change its outlook towards prostitution, I am saying, if you are a prostitute reading this piece, don't ever feel less of a human. You are using your sensuality as a leverage and as a means to an end. It's the same thing every other human being does. They capitalise on what they have at hand to get what they want. Mohammed Ali, Mike Tyson and a host of others made fame and fortune from beating the shit out of their opponents. Maybe they don't have talents that can impact the world positively, nevertheless, people were willing to pay to see them fight and they went on to build illustrious careers off the talent. If the above mentioned superstars thrived off a violence themed industry that is on a global pedestal, how much more prostitutes who if we are being fair can be categorized as therapists. (abi Konji relief no be therapy?) I think the world is very hypocritical about the subject of prostitution. Sex is a valuable commodity that others are willing to pay for. If the two parties involved have come to a consensus to trade sex for money, it should be no one else's problem. Some people will be tempted to assume that I patronize prostitutes. This is not the case and in fact I have never laid with a prostitute. This ideology is not strange to the elite. But they will not speak of it to avoid liberation and emancipation of minds which will result in a disruption of the prevailing social class system. |
Iziquiel:The subject is tribal voting. The 2 candidates I mentioned were southerners. The way to determine which of them will survive a tribal but transparent election is to restrict the test to the southern region. Rivers state gave tinubu a major boost in the last election due to massive rigging If the election was fair, obi clearly would have been declared winner in Rivers state The point being that electoral malpractice was more decisive than tribal voting in the election However, the big numbers tinubu got from the north were as a result of political alliance and not tribalism. Don't you feel stupid now? |

, are you aware that on account of their jobs, lots of people wouldn't even consider being in a relationship with them even if they're the last person on earth?
