Before then, the region was ruled under the British mandate for Palestine which means Palestine existed before the current state of Israel. Before the British took over, it was ruled under the ottoman empire. This is the map of the change that has occurred in that region over time. In the picture, green depicts Palestine and white depicts Israel. I know most of you are emotionally supporting Israel because you think it's a Moslems vs Christian conflict but that is not true. By the way, Christianity in Israel is less than 2 % and Islam 18%. You have more Muslims in Israel than you have Christians. In Palestine you have more Muslims but there are more Christians in Palestine than in Israel. The major religion in Israel is Judaism and they do not believe in Jesus. They actually spit on Christians. So know what you are supporting. The solution to this conflict is creating 2 independent states of Palestine and Isreal side by side.
