Rootiab:It was nerve wracking THB since I only prepared for four days LMFAO(NSE letter came Nov 30th and I registered that day) and I was not sure what to expect. I registered with my international passport and they took my fingerprints then snapped my picture. I was then directed to a room to do my speaking. When I got in there, the lady asked for my candidate number and I mixed it up lolllll she then asked my name, then told me the number and laughed (the lady is the person interviewing me). There were a lot of questions. Favorite room of the house, favorite transportation, if I meet people regularly etc. Then I finished and went back to the waiting room, signed out for speaking. We were then directed to another room for listening, reading and writing. Listening and reading were easy (I took the academic). Please go to the British council page and take the practice test. It's exactly in that form. Writing task one and two were also easy(although I almost made a mistake there but I figured it out when I had 25 minutes left). There's a word counter there so you'll know when to stop (please don't write below the word limit). For task one, I wrote about 180 words and task two 290 words. Also for the listening test, it's not as you hear it, that the answer would come in. They paraphrase a lot of answers, so you'll have to think about it. You can increase the volume and the text size to your preference. There's a comfortable headset for listening. This also applies to reading (the paraphrasing of answers). I spent about 5 hours there. Please go with a brown envelope (the big one) you'll have to put your things inside and seal it. Also for the listening and reading (computer based) I advise you to turn on Caps lock. Because no one cares if all your answer is in capital letters but will care if you use all small letters for nouns or an omitted upper case. For example, if the answer is "John Mou" and you write "john mou" or "John mou" your answer is marked wrong because the first letter of a name is meant to be upper case. But if you write "JOHN MOU" your answer is correct. But for writing, please turn it off because they're checking your spellings and grammar. Results would be sent to my address in 7 days it feels like 10 years already |

Rootiab:I just wrote mine yesterday. Computer based. Omo! I'm so anxious ehn |
deepwater:I Know of that. They emailed me the required things to carry and included the original passport and also a photocopy. But didn't state if coloured or not |
Hi guys. For those of you who wrote your IELTS, did you take the colored or the black and white photocopy of your international passport? |
JohnErrin:Computer based test is the one for you then. Results come out in 3-5 days |
Time2soar:It's also available in Ikoyi. I'm writing mine on Saturday and they sent me a confirmation email. It stated that it's computer based. |
oginnite:Are you going to write the IELTS soon? Or you're not going through the NSE route? |
davo99:Thank you. They sent the ticket passcode to my dad's email. I really appreciate your response ![]() |
davo99:Hi. Thanks for your reply. I do have a question though. Do I click "Send to embassy" on my mobile banking and click Canada? or send to third party (when we did this, we selected Send to GTB) |
silvamania:When we used gtb word mobile app, we clicked on send to third party and destination GTB? Were we meant to click Send to embassy and Destination Canada? |
Can someone explain this Mybankstatement to me please!! They only sent ticket number and passcode to my dad. Is this what we're meant to submit ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ? |
lamlohlah:Yes. Ask for a refund. Was there any reason to pay in advance? Or was that what was requested by IOM? Also email canadamedicals@qlifefamilyclinic.com to book your appointment it's 35k there self and faster I also paid when I got to the clinic. |
Everyone is sleeping LOL!!! |
Hey guys. My agent said it must be IELTS academic for the NSE. Even after I told them what I read here. |
oginnite:Had you written the test before the letter came in? |
Goodbetterbest:I don't even know. My agent just sent the letter to me. I'll ask them tho. The deadline is 30th December but I am writing the computer based test because the results would be out in 3-5 days. |
Time2soar:Hi. Can I use my sponsors regular one year statement from gtb or do we have to use this mybankstatement? Is there any difference between them? Thanks |
I just got my NSE letter from IRCC And I have five nights to prepare for my IELTS . It is well oh. |
HorlarJP:Same thing for me. It's a month today since I did my biometrics and I was even thinking of calling my agent to ask how far. |
Hey guys. Is there anyone going to Wilfrid Laurier University? HMU if you are ![]() |
awys:Please go early (do not follow the appointment time) because it is first come first serve. They even stated it in the computer inside the hospital. |
Time2soar:Really? Has she booked an appointment already? |
awys:We shall receive good news IJN. Also, what hospital are you using? I used Q-life family clinic at VI and it was really fast. I didn't even feel like I waited three hours because we kept moving. |
StringerX:Sure thing |
olabisi6438:This seems weird to me if you haven't gotten the biometrics request letter. I applied the same day(october 15 In Canada (7pm)/October 16 in Nigeria (3am)) and I received the biometrics request letter that day. And yes, you can book for an upfront medical after submission (I did the same thing). You'll be given an e-medical slip after to upload. |

ojzreal:Did your Visa end up coming before the 21st of September? |
adeenzo:Thank you so much. I realize I have to be patient. The reason I'm anxious is because I'm in the university (in Lagos) and since we've been on strike. I do NOt want to resume with them LOL And yes, it's from my nucleus family (my dad). What do you think I should do about the admission tho? To wait or to defer? Thanks again ![]() |
Hi guys. I applied for my study visa(four years undergrad) on October 15 and my request to go for biometrics came out the same day. I then did the biometrics on the 30th of October due to the protests that was going on. My sister applied(2 years Masters)earlier this year and her study visa was granted within a month plus. When I went to their website to check the processing time, I saw 14 weeks. Just yesterday, it's been changed to 15 weeks. My school is resuming on January 11 and I deferred the admission before. What do you think I should do? Defer the admission again? Also, do you guys think an account statement of 50M+ is enough to get me this visa? I did an upfront medical test after my application was submitted (27th of October) too and the wait is killing me lol since I used an agent and I really don't know what's going on. I await your favorable response. Thank you. |

. It is well oh.
