In 1976 at the age of 34 Buhari became the minister for Petroleum and Natural resources. In 1978 at the age of 36 Buhari became the chairman of NNPC. Today the reverse is the case, most Nigeria youths at the age of 35 are still unemployed and still living with parents.
One major reason for this unfortunate turn of events is that grandfathers like Buhari has refused to voluntarily handover baton to the next generation.

Buhari, Must you serve Nigeria as a president only? Is there no capacity you can serve except the presidency?

Pa. Buhari should give way for the younger generation.

The youths are not fit worthy to be handed over tge baton.. i mean why could they not dtep out of their parents house and find their way?

3. Procastinstion
4. Lack of participation
5. Shying away from responsibilities
6. Not able to think for themselves
7. And alot more
8. Lack of focus
9. Social media
10. Immorality.

These are the things these older men who had the opportunity of being people at an early age did not engage in!

They would not leave until you decide to do away with all these and face life!

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disclosed that it has commenced efforts to ensure that some of its former chieftains now in the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, return to its fold.

National Secretary of the PDP, Prof. Wale Oladipo, disclosed this to newsmen in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Friday. He hinted that the party has reached out to many of its aggrieved members, especially those who have defected to other political parties.

Oladipo noted that the reconciliation committee recently set up by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party will meet with all former members in the APC and other political parties before the next general elections, to ensure that the PDP wins in all parts of the country. This, he said would ensure the victory of President Goodluck Jonathan in the February presidential poll and also brighten the chances of the PDP in other elections.

Oladipo expressed optimism that those who have left the PDP for personal and political reasons would soon rejoin the party, going by the reconciliation efforts of the leaders of the party.

He specifically stated that the crisis in the Ondo State chapter of the PDP has been resolved, and the two factions have agreed to work together.

Oladipo who condemned the APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, urged Nigerians to support Jonathan in his second term ambition, because he means well for the nation.

According to him, “General Buhari is too old to rule Nigeria. He cannot be compared with President Jonathan. He is too strict and harsh for Nigerians, while Jonathan is meek, humble and dedicated to the cause of democracy and good governance.

Secondly, PMS is already heavily subsidized, reduction in world oil price will reduce the amount paid as subsidy and not flow into the current price at the filling stations immediately except the subsidy is completely removed either by government or the world oil price.

The reduction of Fish prices is not what we were/ever/are clamoring for.. It was never even in the agenda.. Why leave the agenda and focus on things that are more attention demanding?!!!

Well it is all well and good....but thanks to the fall in oil prices....we might not be able to maintain it for long.

And I know this sounds trite....but Ajaokuta has to be working again so that (to cut a long story short)....costs of expanding/maintaining the railways would be cheap.

And 3 hrs for a 236km? We could make that faster.(How's about cutting it to 1 hr.....and then linking it up with Port Harcourt Airport.....sounds good.!)

And this isn't the first time the railways have been revived....Abacha did it, as did Obj in the 70's (failed India led attempt). And the current project was envisioned and commenced by Obasanjo(2007), and renegotiated by Yaradua .
