Former Chelsea and England Captain has announced his retirement from the beautiful game which saw him have a career that spanned for 23 years with his last match coming in Aston Villa's 1:0 win over Fulham in May this year in the Championship play off's finals

The 37 year old made the announcement today in a social media post having had a total of 73 caps for his country England.

He is being wished a good life out of the game from fans, former teammates and well wishers all over the world

The Former Chelsea captain will always remain in the hearts of all Chelsea fan in Stamford Bridge where he won numerous trophies over the years.

Tupac Shakur's death in a drive-by shooting in 1996 left rap fans heartbroken.

Aged just 25, he was shot four times - twice in the chest, once in the arm and once in the thigh - as he pulled up outside Las Vegas' Club 662 in a black BMW owned by Death Row Records boss Suge Knight.

Despite being placed in a drug-induced coma, he died from internal bleeding in hospital six days later.

But not everyone is convinced that he's gone.

And in the 22 years since Tupac's death there have been no shortage of conspiracy theories and sightings, with the slain rapper doing some serious globe trotting...

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid or Starboy has taken the definition of the word super star a notch higher.

African and World entertainment record was broken when the State of Minnesota declared a proclamation dedicating one day in the year to celebrate Nigerian Superstar Wizkid.

According to the proclamation October 6th of every year will now be known as a state holiday called Wizkid day to celebrate the Nigerian born pop star.

The proclamation also stated that Wizkid achieved international recognition in 2016 following his collaboration with Drake on the global hit, One Dance thereby becoming the first indigenous Nigerian musician to score a number one hit on the popular US Singles chart.

The proclamation further stated that on the 6th of October which will henceforth be known as Wizkid day, thousands of Minnesotans will converge on Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis to see Wizkid perform.

The document stated further that this will help the pop star make history as the first African artiste to sell out the venue.

It then concluded saying Wizkid had inspired Minnesotans and music fans around the world as one of he biggest cultural influencers of our time.

And the former vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has just won the primaries for the ticket to contest for the seat of the presidency for the next 4years in Nigeria

Will this be the new face of Nigeria

He won with a total of 1532 votes.......it was a landslide win with his closest opponent having just over 600 votes
