Eriokanmi: 2 days ago, it was on how to train peope on how to do forex and now it's another weird story. By their fruits, ye shall know them and those following them. That money won't even get to beneficiaries in the first place, though not the right idea.
When tinubu was lagos governor, this was his style. He empowered the agberos so much that he placed them in strategic locations..MC oluomo was his breed. He was bred as a very young man by tinubu. He gave them different assignments and they mainly carried them out on Tinubu's perceived enemies.
What happens to skills acquisition programmes, vocational studies, empowering youths with great ideas, offering scholarships to Nigerian students to study those courses in which we'll benefit from back home after completion?
We see the number of Chinese and Indians schooling in America on government scholarships, hundreds of thousands of them. Trump was even threatening to deport them due to trade talk stalemate with the Chinese leader recently. Tell my why China or India won't keep growing? There are better schools in China or India but their leaders know what they're doing.
When we say vote wisely, this are some of the reasons. We are about producing lithium ion batteries in Nigeria. Instead of offering Nigerian youths to study the technology behind this overseas, they'd always prefer to hire expatriates at exorbitant amount. In NLNG a few years back, there was this african-Dutch guy who was being paid 7m naira monthly by NLNG with free accommodation, free schooling of his children, free ticket for vacations in any choice location abroad, etc. I asked some of his colleagues why were they paying him so.much and they said its because he possessed a CCIE, which was the peak of IT globally. It's a lab-based course and the exam is also lab-based which they move from country to country. A Nigerian wouldn't have been paid so much. He'd have been earning say, 5m naira and the government would have saved the rest. He'd have also imparted the skills on Nigerians. These are what Indian and Chinese leaders.do to develop their lands. India , despite their teeming population has left us far behind in everything. They flooded Nigeria in 70s/80s looking for teaching jobs. The story has changed now.
If only we can shun sentiments, Nigeria can still be redeemed. Say it LOUDER. You have spoken well. Nothing more to add. |

lovewins: If Musa likes herself she shouldn't bother coming. Make a case for yourself in the WNBA this season. You'll notice she's getting the coach's confidence more and it's leading to more minutes on the floor. She needs to continue to do that cause once those ok injuries come back, getting minutes is going to be significantly difficult. The only way she has a chance is to play as much as she can now and impresses. That way, she gets herself noticed in the league so by next season she offers from teams where she gets to be a starter.
Kiki's case is exactly like this. You realize that Kiki wasn't supposed to be a starter. Not in a thousand years. She had Shakira Austin and Aaliyah Edwards ahead of her in the pecking order. This was supposed to be Aaliyah's breakout year, plus she went to UConn so she had a large fanbase supporting her that can influence coaching decisions. However, they both were injured and she did so well in training camp the coach trusted her enough to start. She made so much case for herself it will be malpractice to not start her now. She's literally made both Aaliyah and Shakira (who were starters last year) bench players. UConn fans are even asking for Aaliyah to be traded cause they can she there's no way she's starting ahead of Kiki now.
That's what Musa neads to do. Ignore Afrobasket, and make a strong case for yourself. Her success in the WNBA isn't just for her, it will make some scouts pay attention to local talents in Nigeria. I hope the NBBF has enough sense and vision to realize this. Well spoken. Thanks. Nkem Akaraiwe and Akashili ( Can't remember her first name ) were also good home based players who represented Nigeria at the Women's Basketball World Cup in Spain in 2018. So, we do have some very good home based players. Your idea is the best - Find them Colleges in the USA or Canada or Europe where they can play collegiate basketball and hopefully find clubs later on. Cheers. |

Fmode: Good afternoon wonderful people on this forum. Happy Sunday to everyone.
I really don’t want this to be long and I really would like people who are led by God to help me out in their own capacity.
I have been trying to get both freelance jobs and the conventional jobs for the past 2 years now but nothing has been successful. I have not earned since all these periods and as a man, I have many responsibilities including paying my house rent.
I have been selling household appliances to feed and get life going. I have also managed to live all these while but honestly,it’s looking as if I can’t get along anymore as life is become unbearable and uneasy for those not earning.
My house rent got expired feb and till now, I can’t even think straight on how to get this paid . My Landlord came twice last week and of course, will still come this week to ask for his money.
I am pleading for anyone who can help because I am loosing it and don’t know what will happen as even to eat has become difficult. I have debts hanging around me from people I have bought food stuffs on credit . If anyone can help,I will be ever grateful.
Thanks so much in anticipation. Guy, get a teaching job. What did you study in the university? No matter the course you studied in the University, look for a teaching job in a private school in your area. Look for the one that can pay you at least 60k for a start. Discover the subjects you can teach and start TEACHING. You can later move to a bigger school after 2 years. You can also teach students as their lesson teacher. Craft a Teaching CV for yourself and go out and drop your CV with private schools in your area. Start from somewhere. All the best. You can also combine with your teaching job. Cheers. |

AY and D'Banj were in London from the mid 90's to around 2001 when D'banj and Don Jazzy relocated to Nigeria. D'banj used to associate with the 419 Squad, a hip hop group in the UK. Cheers. |

I have 35 Calina pawpaw seedlings for sale at the moment. 2,500 Naira per seedling. I can deliver your seedlings to anywhere you are in Lagos. Calina pawpaw is very nutritious and tasty. It is sweet and your wife and children will appreciate you for planting it in your compound or premises. Many of these tall pawpaw trees you see around are not a match for this dwarf Calina Pawpaw specie. Fruits are getting more expensive in Nigeria on a daily basis. It is a good idea to plant fruits in your compound so that you can save money and enjoy delicious fruits all year round. At least, you won't have to shell out out unreasonable amounts of money to buy fruits. Plant Calina papaya and other fruits in your compound this rainy season. You won't regret it. Turn your compound into a mini orchard . Plant all kinds of fruits there. Know how to manage space, Sir/Ma. Pawpaws can improve your health and make your skin glow if you eat them constantly. Pawpaws terminate heart diseases. Eating pawpaws will stop cancer from entering your body. Pawpaw fruit stops indigestion and make your hair shiny. It has been proved that you will look younger if you consume pawpaw at least thrice a month. I ate lots of pawpaw as a child and people tell me I look younger than my age. So what are you waiting for? Call/Whatsapp me on 07049598500. Lets start the process of purchase of these seedlings. Thanks.

Danielnino00: The problem is that we don't have an active basketball league ... How can we effectively pick the best home based players without a functioning league? It's just ceremonial basketball competitions taking place here and there I hope and pray something is done about this situation as soon as possible. However, a home based D'tigress squad can still be picked via these ceremonial competitions. We should have a home based D'tigress Squad. Cheers. |

Good for her though.... By the time the world cup comes around, we should have a more formidable team... I really hope we get Kiki We should have a home based D'tigress squad that is made up of the best female basketball players in Nigeria . Murjanatu Musa was a home based player before she moved abroad. We have had a few breakout players like that who transitioned from our local league to America and Europe. Cheers. |

I share your thoughts too. She should have verbally committed to Nigeria and DTigress since last year. America has a way of blocking the chances of Nigerian Americans from playing for Nigeria. The NBBF should approach Iriafen directly and secure her commitment. She must not go the way of Arike and the Ogwumike Sisters. |

You can only source it from abroad. I can not sell you single seeds. You will have to buy a pack of the seeds which are tightly sealed in a package. I sell seedlings only. Thanks. |

Ilekokonit: As scary as it sounds, something as serious as Medical School Exams, Professors of Medicine allow their children and their friends to cheat.
I was a Medical Student at UI Med School many years ago and 20% of my class cheated to pass exams in a situation where people who are repeating decide to do division of labour and instead of studying every thing they decide to study just upper limb and someone else studies lower limb, thorax etc, etc and then they sit at the back of the class and compare notes and end up scoring 100%.
This is apart from the children of Professors of Medicine who were being given preferential treatment in the exam hall (e.g. coming too late for an exam and instead of disqualifying her, the invigilator (a lecturer who was taught in med school by the girls father who is a Prof of medicine) kept repeating to our hearing "where is the she that must be obeyed" until the Profs daughter showed up more than an hour late for the exam.
And then there is the case of the son of a Prof of medicine in my class who used to see the real exam questions before the exam date and then circulate them to his inner circle and they all end up scoring 100% in the exam.
No wonder there are so many heartless killer doctors in Nigeria. You don't mean it . I am perplexed 😕😕😕. UI of all schools. Jesus Christ of Heaven and Samaria and Nazareth. |

It is not easy to maintain school infrastructure o. This is why private schools charge a lot of money as tuition fees. Students will damage furniture, windows and toilet seat and sinks. Public schools should be made to charge at least 5000 naira per student as infrastructure maintenance fees every term. Public schools have lots of students and pupils, so the money should be enough e g 5k x 700 pupils ( primary schools ) or 5k x 3000 students ( secondary schools ) . Cheers. |
