Hmn. Why don't you get calabashes and bottles , pour chicken blood into them and tie red clothes around them and tie them to sticks or poles around your farm? Look for a dead cow's skull and tie red cloth around it and place it at the entrance of your farm. Shikena . The fear of juju is respected than God in this nation.

Our Dtigers players are not as committed like their female counterparts. Guys like Gabe Vincent , Jahlil Okafor and Miye Oni should be in Abuja camp since last Friday. This is our chance to win our 2nd Afrobasket title in Angola. We need all the firepower we can amass for this tournament kicking off next week. We still have a group of talented guys in Abuja right now. And with Josh Okogie suiting up, we have a better squad that can win the cup. I will analyze our squad later today or tomorrow. Cheers, guys.

Oh my comment wasn't made in consideration of Ejiofor. I personally do not think Ejiofor should be in the team at all Ebo or not. I was speaking specifically about Ebo and the prospects and potentially I think she has.

.

Ejiofor and Ogoke's spots on D'tigress roster are up for grabs at the next training camp before the World Cup in Germany. Elizabeth Balogun also needs to watch her back as open camps will throw up new players who can challenge her for a place in the team. I believe Sarah Ogoke should retire and work as a backroom staff of D'tigress. She can also face her medical job squarely. As for Ojenuwa, we have not seen her play a full game yet. Cheers.

PDPGuy:
I agree that new players should be, at least, tried out before the World Cup to further bolster the team.

Thank goodness that, as African champions, D’Tigress could use the 5 games at the March Olympic qualifying tournament to try out different strategies/tactics and also gauge how the new additions would fit into Wakama’s system.

Even at that, I doubt whether Wakama would ring in wholesale changes to her team. She would, at most, bring in 2-3 new faces.

New and more gifted players are out there waiting to be integrated into the D'tigress squad for the World Cup. This is why the NBBF should organize lengthy training camps in the USA and Nigeria. The ladies should be in Nigeria for at least three weeks before jetting out to Berlin, Germany for the World Cup. D'tigress need to play in friendly tournaments in Europe and the USA in order to see the new camp invitees in action. So, we need a program for the World Cup and next Olympic games.

Yes, we have won. However, we need to start working on our squad. Kudos to Coach Otis Hughley for bringing players like Amy Okonkwo , Pallas , Victoria Macaulay, Murjanatu Musa and Elizabeth Balogun into the D'tigress squad. Coach Rena needs to go hunting for ladies that will make her work easier at next year's FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup in Germany. We need a strong bench . We need a pen camp or camps in Europe , USA and Nigeria. Cheers.

We aren't talking about a complete overhaul... What we want is an injection of better players in the team...in Africa, this team of ours is the best...but on the global stage, they can't compete that well, hence the need for better players

We need to be able to compete on the global stage. These ladies that won tonight were injected into the team gradually from 2018. We need a lengthy training camp before the World Cup next year. Training Camp must be open so that gifted players can show up and display what they have to offer. This was what was done before the 2018 World Cup by Otis Hughley. Invitations should also be sent out to some players to come for camping. At least, we need 5 new gifted players in this squad.

Congrats to D'tigress. 5 times in a row as Champions. Wow. Glory be to God.

If we cannot use Vera Ojenuwa, Ejiofor and Ogoke , then we don't have a strong bench. We need to scour the world for ballers who can assist Kalu, Amukamara, Okonkwo, Musa and Macaulay towards the World Cup.

D'tigress have to stop giving up the lead and come out smoking in the 3rd and fourth quarters. We can win tonight though the Malians are very determined and want to win too. After this tournament, we need to build a very strong bench and team towards the FIBA Women's World Cup next year. We need to win to have an automatic qualification for the World Cup.

I am not following live scores this time around. I don't want to give myself hypertension.. D'tigress, sit up o.

Senegal frightened us last night. We meet another tough opponent today. Our D'tigress should be relentless in scoring today. All quarters must be won.

I almost had hypertension last night as D'tigress battled Senegal. Another battle again today na wa o. We will win by God's grace.

At one point, I thought Nigeria would lose the game. I am relaxed and happy now. Senegal really gave us a game tonight. Kudos to D'tigress once more. Our ladies made a great comeback to achieve this victory. I believe we will lift the trophy tomorrow. By God's grace, we will be champions tomorrow.

Senegal 58: Nig 52...End of 3rd qtr...

Very tough game for D'tigress. The tension is too much. We lost the third quarter.

We need to come out strong in the 3rd quarter. Macaulay is the ace tonight.

Very tough game. We need to win all the quarters. We have won two, two quarters to go and we will be victorious. We will win tonight. Amen.

Very good of her. She honours God all the time. She will go very far in her football career. God is great. Kudos, Rasheedat.

We will be facing Otis Hughley in the Semi finals. And knows most of our ladies. We shall overcome Senegal.

Yes, D'tigress must be ruthless and relentless.

We have a lot of work to do. I still have faith that we will lift the trophy once more. More firepower, D'tigress.

If we overcome Cameroun tonight, the game against Senegal will be EPIC. We just have to really play well.

PDPGuy:
It’s confirmed. 2025 Women’s Afrobasket quarterfinals:

D’Tigress v Cameroon, later today, at 10pm Naija time..

D'tigress need to be clinical at the basket and be very careful going forward. Some nations are really skillful at this tournament. We must not be complacent or we will pay for it. Teams like Ivory Coast and Mozambique can be very difficult to subdue. Ivory Coast being the host nation might want to spring a surprise if Dtigress meets them. Cheers.

It is not a good thing to have halitosis or mouth odor. However, people focus too much on this problem and refuse to look at their own faults, especially when the person with mouth odor is talented or gifted than them. If you have mouth odor, it can be cured . Have faith in God. Cheers.

None of them plays in the WNBA. Uginne Onyiah just joined a college team (Syracuse).

Onyiah and Abigor are Nigerian-Americans. We need a stronger squad for Berlin next year. Our current squad is ageing and then we really need some very gifted players that can turn games around. Kiki and Michaela should heed the call to play for Nigeria. I believe we have 4 spots on the D'tigress squad that are open for grabs towards the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup. Cheers.

Odogwujayy:
Omohh honestly we can't play like this against Senegal or Uganda or Mali. Converting free throws was an issue today.

Mozambique is stronger than Uganda and Mali. They always stress us than Mali and Senegal etc. I don't just know why the Mozambique ladies don't always avoid Nigeria and make it to the final . I believe our ladies will play better in the remaining games.

Ugonne Onyiah
Gabrielle Abigor

Anyone knows more about the ladies above? They play in basketball in the USA and one plays in the WNBA.

lovewins:
Yea cause everyone played badly. Even FT was 57%. Just had across board

I knew D'tigress will defeat Mozambique. Mozambique always give us a tough game. It will be very hard for any team to beat our ladies. What I am looking forward to is the FIBA Women's world cup in Germany next year. By the grace of God, we will win this Afrobasket in Ivory Coast . I want to see a stronger squad in Berlin next year by the special grace of God. I said it that Senegal might get defeated by a team in this tourney. Don't count Senegal out yet though.

Please don't fall for his nice comments. He is a devil in human skin. He has no remorse and he is very tricky. Don't deal with him. Don't pay into POS accounts. PDPGuy:
I hope Wakama would thoroughly explain her surprise inclusion of Ogoke to us, because her inclusion makes no sense to me.

If she was brought on as a member of Wakama’s backroom staff, that would be entirely understandable, given Ogoke’s wealth of experience in the game. But bringing her along as a player, and denying another more active player a coveted spot, is frankly ridiculous.

I was shocked concerning Ogoke's inclusion in the squad too. We need another new face in that squad apart from Ojenuwa. Yes, Victoria Macaulay has displaced someone in the squad, but she is a great player. Sarah should call it a day from D'tigress squad after this tournament. She has been playing for Nigeria since 2011. Other younger talented ladies were in Camp in Abuja. Hmn.
