pjogutum1: @HOUSE I DON PORT TO US OF A!Congratulations to you and your family. |
I and my family wish every member of this forum success in their interview. I know God of success is in the house and we shall continue to have success in our interview. Congratulations for those us that our visas has been approved. This success will never sieze in this forum. |
pator: Congrats on your double blessing remkay. Meanwhile, butland is correct because I had similar case with his. Our visa was issued before we had our baby. The CO also told us then to go with our passport and come back after the baby is born but we insisted he should issue our visa first and then come back for the baby's own when he is born and he obliged. After we had the baby I sent mails to the embassy and they told us exacttly what butland said. I sent another to confirm if we would be paying for the baby visa, they said no. Because the baby will not be issued a separate visa but his passport will be joined with that of the mother. They said our case was closed as soon as our visa was issued. We will only pay for the baby's greencard processing.Wow! that is great. Did they ask you to get international passport for the baby? if that is the case they will prepare that baby visa seperately. Though, it was stated clearly in our letter given to us that we are going to pay visa fee for our baby and we did when we returned. Well, it might be different from his own. I am only advise him to prepare for both payment. |
dutmond: @remkay2012...congrats...if you go through my post again, you will find out that our cases are different...my wife and I already have Visas....our baby is yet to have..as I just applied for my baby's passport today...I sent mail to the embassy and their response is for me to return with int. passports, visa packages, child's birth cert, immunization cert,3 passport photo for the kid and transportation letter fee of $165. Nothing like $330 as you said earlier.....congrats once again@ dutmond....Thank you so much for your congratulatory message. Please, I will advise you to go with $330 visa fee for your baby and try to fill DS230 form for her with 3 passport photograph to be on safer side. I am saying this, because we have passed through this situation. Our cases are similar, the only different is that you and your wife visa was approved that very day while our own also was approved but the CO asked us to come back for our visa issuance with our baby's passport. I wish you good luck and congratulations. |
First, I would like to appreciate almighty God for His mercy and favour upon my family during our interview on 11th of June. I also appreciate my good friend Gentiger for his personal support and my big friend Temmytanny and all members of this forum. Infact, you guys are doing great. We arrived U.S embassy around 5:45a.m on that very day. Then my wife was 9month old pregnant. After normal security inspection we moved in into the interview hall where we are the second candidate to be attended to. We submitted our necessary documents such as 1. Original Certificate of my wife as main applicant. 2.Our wedding Certificate, 3. All our international passports 4. 3 copies of our 2x2 passport photographs. 5 NPC attestation(Abeokuta) for me and my wife and NPC birth certificate for our baby. 5 Police report for me and my wife 6. Medical report for the entire family (3 in number). We are called to window 14 by around 8:30a.m. Our interview was brief and short as stated below: Co: Good Morning Me and my wife: Good morning Sir, how was night? Co: Fine thank you with smile. Me: I raise my daughter up and asked her to say HI to the Co. My daughter: Hi Co: Hi with excitement. Co: He showed us all our forms that we sent to kcc for confirmation. We: yes Co: He asked us to do finger print and normal oath that what is in the forms are very correct. We: Yes Co: Who is the main applicant We: My wife Co: Highest Education My wife: S.S.C.E Co: Year My wife: 19... but I submitted GCE of 19.... Co: Do you have you school cert with you My wife: She presented it with just only 2 credits (He collected it and return it back). Co: I can see that you are pregnant My wife: Yes Co: When is the due time. My told him: Next week. Co: I will return all your passport to you and your original document and return immediately you deliver your baby for your visas. We: No, We want you to issue for 3 of us first and later we will bring our baby for her visa. Co: He said we should not worried that he will issue for the entire family when we return. (He returned all our documents as he stated). We: Okay. Co: He gave a white paper stating that we should return any day from Monday to Thursday 7:00 a.m with the following document 1. International Passport for the entire family, 2. Birth certificate for the new baby, 3. Medical report for the new baby and 4. payment for the baby. Glory be to God almighty, we had our baby the following week of our interview. After the naming ceremony,we quickly get the necessary documents for the baby including the international passport. On Monday 8th July we returned back to the embassy. We submitted all required documents for the baby and international passports for the entire family. Co: Welcome back and congratulations for the new born baby(Window 14) We: Thank you. Co: Is the the form for your new baby. We: Yes Co: Somebody should sign for your baby. I: I did. Co: I can see you baby was born on ....... We: Yes Co: Congratulation to the entire family. He circle the address for collection of our visa and any form for payment of immigration fee. That is all about the interview. We had interview together with Jinny123 and mata1ng the same day. |
dutmond: Hello great house, I have come back to share my interview experience at US embassy on 21st June.Congratulation dutmond! I have the same issue like yours and our visa has been approved yesterday and for my new baby. Please when you are taken your baby for her visa, you should fill the ds230 form and 4 2x2 passport photographs for your baby. The payment for your baby is not $165 immigartion fee, is payment for visa fee for your baby $330. You should make sure you have all required necessary document for your baby for the interview. |
kenny3: @remkay2012 n amedino1, thank you friends and God bls. I have testimonial n certificate of the Waec I retook, spent just 2 years in d school for I went dir to retake, my GCE cert n my HND cert, but I do not have any doc from my secondary sch whr I spent 5 year, though I filled both secondary schools on d kcc form, must I get d first secondary school cert n testimonial? Or it is not necessary to travel n get it since I never used it....I am thinking it is necessary since that was whr I finished d 5 years secondary school before going to retake in another sch whr I had 4 credits n later sat for GCE whr I had d 5th credit to complete my 5 credits...tnx n God bls u allNot WAEC you retake, the one you did during your secondary school period where you spent 5 years. It does not matter you have all any credit from it, is just to proof that you have 12years both primary and secondary school eduacation. If the CO did not ask it from you, don't mention it to him at all. But you will need to submit your 2nd WAEC result that you re-take with GCE to complete 5credits, medical result, police report, NPC attestation. Make sure you get the testimonia and the result of your first WAEC even without credit. |
kenny3: @remkay2000, pls I am still waiting for you pls, my highest qualification is HND Bus Admin, Laspotech, Isolo......, tnx n God bls uKenny3, sorry for the delay in response. I have little challeges with my computer and I can not use my phone to post your reply. Believe me you are good to go but, you have to go and collect your WAEC result in your secondary school that you stated in your form. Just take it along but do not submit it to those who checking the credientials. You will need to submit both WAEC/GCE results that you have made 5credits with your HND result to the official. During interview, the CO may ask you when did you finished your secondary education? you answer by stating year on your certificate that you stated in your form that you submitted to kcc. He will tell you to show him, because that is where the name of your school will be appear, probably your date of birth. Reason is that you have already have 5credits in 2sittings. The other result is just an evidence that you completed the high school. Make sure you also collect your testimonia with it. You dont need to have any credit on your school WAEC but you must collect as an evidence. |

pator: Are you going to put to bed before or after your interview? If after your interview, all you need to do is to get the baby's passport, immunization record from the hospital you are using and 3 passport photograph of the baby. You will then go back to the embassy with your own visa package and they will join your passport with that of the baby. This can be done anytime after delivery and of course before Sept 30. So you don't need to wait till after 3 month. |
Obatide: How long does it take to get in ogun state pls?I collected it in just one day after, I have done my affidavit in Federal High Court Abeokuta. |
kenny3: Good day all, congrats to all people that got their visas, God bls u all. PLZ, where can one get the npc birth certificate from? For i hv been using affidavit for over 3 decades now, a native of Ogun state, got the affidavits in Lagos years back though and I saw that one cant submit affidavit. I had asked this before...let someone PLEASE give answer, tnx n God bls u all@ Kenny3. Which Local Government of Government are you from? You don't need to go to Surulere. Go to you Local Government, ask for NPC office tell them that you need attestation of birth. They will give you format for High Court Affidavit which you can do in Federal High Court or State High Court, Abeokuta. You will take it back to their L.G. office in your Area, they will do necessary adjustment. Mind you, one of your parent will do the affidavit, so you will need some pictures of one of your parent and yours. After the processing, you will take it to Federal Secretariat Abeokuta, beside Federal High Court where your Certificate will be issue inform of letter (attestation). I also proccessed mine and my wife in Abeokuta at the rate of N2,500 and it was acceptable in the Embassy. |

pator: We got to the embassy around 6.20 a.m. We parked at the car park for #1,000 and then move to the U.S embassy to join the line around 6.30 a.m. I will say we were already late by then because the line was already long. Just about 4 people came after us (jaspa 400 was one of those who came after us). We went through all the protocols and in the hall we paid $990 (for my son, my wife and me). We submitted our documents and waiting for the COs to arrive. They finally started the interview around 8.30 a.m. First at 2 cubicles, (14 and 15) later another CO joined at 16. They were all male. The first 3 people that were called were all couples, 2 with children the other without children. All of them were granted visa. My family was number 4 to be called at window 14. The guy in window 14 was the youngest and seems to be tough on the first couple he interviewed. He spent almost 30 minutes with them before he granted them visa. The interview proper went this way:Congratulation Pator.I am in the same shoe with you. What is your dress code for the interview with your pregnant woman? Just for guide. |
