I read that Detroit is really depressed and I think filled for bankruptcy.

Well, we are coping. The crime rate in Detroit is very high but I lives in Lansing which is very peaceful and unemployment rate is high but you will a job.

Please, how did you get your certificates evaluated? I have paid since October 2013 but due University strike action I can not obtain my transcript. I dont know maybe they will accept print out transcript that I had scanned into my system if I send a copy to them.

Freshie: Congratulations to all those who've been granted visas recently. I believe God that the rest of us who will be interviewed this week will be granted in Jesus' name.

I am glad to announce to the house that my wife delivered a big baby boy on Tuesday. God is sooo awesome, and I respect women even more! We would start gathering all they asked us to bring to the embassy to obtain a letter for my son once they are discharged.

You don't have problem with the certificate, that is how is normally filled. You don't need to do any affidavit if you are using NPC Certificate. But if you are using NPC birth attestation, you will need affidavit from high court.

Initially, I know that God is still with us in this forum. If you look bad from beginning of this forum, you can count numbers of visas approval and numbers of those who are already in the State. If you look back you will see so many miracles that God almighty performed and numbers of success stories among these are your testimony, my own and others testimony where visa was approved for unborn baby, lost confirmation number and later recovered at the end of it, visa approved and so on like that from DV 2013. Why can't we thank that almighty God bless his name.

Tobi henryo: Hi..we were given a letter to come back with the child information.that's all asked of us to do.

Please go with the baby ds230 form, birth certificate, medical, international passport for all the entire family if not collected during interview and your baby application fees only if you are interview by window 14. based on my experience. Good luck.

candytos: My testimony continue: with God n advise from members n reading past postings on this thread we prepared n were able to also cut cost for our dv interview.
This morning wife n I prayed n made positive confessions from a wonderful book by Rev Adetutu Coker " I am destined to win, we prepared and packed our docs for the interview. We also took the holy communion as a family n left home at 5.30am n got to embassy with our kids at 6.30am. Therewas alreadya long queue, we joined n went thro all security. We paid and presented our docs to a Nige Nigerian lady we were told to sit n wait for our number to be called. The hall was jammed with ppl both immigrants n non immigrants, with some standing, not enof seats. I started praying in tongues n thanking God for our visas but my kids were tired of the whole thing n wanted to go home. At 9.15am over 1.5hrs of waiting we were called to window 17 with a young ruddy white American. We exchanged pleasantries n he showed us our forms n told us to sign, which we did.
CO: swear to say the truth
Me n wife: swore
CO: highest qualification
Me: told him
Co: line of work in relation to degree
Me: told him
Co: asked for family pix
Me: showed him
Co: saw honeymoon pix asked location
Me: Ghana
CO: like to visit Ghana
Me: nice place
CO: asked abt some pix on earlier visits to US
Wife: Responded n we all laffed
Then CO typed for about 5mins n returned all original docs keeping us in suspense, finally said congratulations n welcome to America n gave two pcs of paper for PP collection n UCIS payment. This is God's doing from beginning to d end may His holy name be praised forever in all our lives IJN amen.
I pray outstanding success n divine favor for all members of this forum awaiting their interview success is theirs IJMN amen. Baba God noni.

Tomorrow is my family's interview and I believe our visas are already issued IJMN amen. I will be giving all our testimonies by this time tomorrow IJN amen. Please how many photocopies of our documents do we need to take with us and do we need the high court affidavit along with our NPC birth attestations.

Please I want answers to this question ASSAP: I paid my USCIS fee with a brother GTB master card 2 days ago, the payment was confirmed n accepted. As i tried to print the receipt what came out was your application/petition has been accepted and is pending review. CASE SUMMARY RECEIPT ID: REQUEST TYPE etc. At the bottom of the page was written payment submitted. My question is that does that page represents the receipt of my payment? I also discovered the account hasn't been debited as at yesterday, pls, how long does it take to process the fee because I want to be sure before i pay for four others of my family? Or do I need to pay for all at once? Hw's Pator and Jasper? Are still in town?

Have your registered online? If you do. Check your inbox on the site, you will see your receipt in A4 Paper type. You can as well apply for the whole family at a time, the receipt will come out separately.

Dear brother, you don't need to be worried at all since your wife is already due. My advise is that you don't need to write Embassy on this issue. Please, go back and read my own case. I had the same issue with you and I have explained the way you are going to go about it in my post. WE are interviewed by the same guy in window 14. After, our delivery, we carried our baby to the embassy and the same guy attendant to us since he is the one handling our case file. Immediately, we got there, he said "welcome back" and he congratulate us for our new born baby. He mentioned her names and her date of birth as we filled it in DS230 forms and I signed for my new baby. He now brought the 2 papers for our immigration payment and visa collection. That was all. Please don't be panic, He has already approved your visas. He doesn't want you to go without your new born baby. During my interview, I told the CO to issue us our own visas first and we will come later for the baby visa. He said NO he want us to go with our baby, he don't want us to leave the baby behind. He also said that one of us can come for our babies visa, but to be on safe side we all attended the interview with my wife. Please, remember to fill DS230 form along when you are going with 3copies or more 2"x2" passport photographs including all items stated in the letter. If you have any question you can ask. My brother I pray for safe delivery of your wife and your visa.

Leripa: All glory and adoration to God almighty for His goodness upon my family. We (I, my wife and our son) had a successful interview on 23rd July and to the glory of God, i picked up our visa packets (3 sealed envelopes) and our passports with visa on them today 7th August.

Rianatb: hello house my name is rianat am one of people selected for dvlotery 2014 my case number is 1452,av send my DS 230 part 1 and 2,through NIPOST,wit 500 niara to Kcc,is about 2 weeks now and they av not reply me dat my document av been recieve,i fill three working experience which is, promoter in nbl,and checkers but the 3rd one is nysc,because am still doing my youth service,i play as a single,av send email to them but they av not repond,wat next am i going to do.

I also sent my own forms by NIPOST at Ikeja and after 2weeks, I sent a message to KCC to help me confirm delivery of the documents. After 3 working days, it was confirmed received. I don't think you have any problem with that. Just go and be prepaing for your interview in October. Better still, write KCC to aknowledge that they received your forms.

Tobi you don't need to worry youself about this. The case has been solved already. I have the same issue with me if you read my testimony. I pray to almighty God safe delivery of your wife when the time comes. You don't need to write Embassy after your wife delivery. After the naming ceremony go and get your baby's NPC birth certificate probably the following day of your naming ceremony, you will use your baby NPC certificate to obtain your baby international passport, your baby international passport will be use for medical immediately you have all this documents just carry your baby to the embassy with letter given to you at the embassy. All this, will not take you more than one week. Please note, you will need to have DS 230 form for your new baby with 4 or more 2"x2" passport photographs(3 required). Let just analysed the way I processed my own.

Friday, we had naming ceremony
Saturday, my baby took 2"x2" passport photographs at home.
Monday, I personally went to obtained my baby's NPC birth certificate (The baby immunization from the clinic was required) at Abeokuta.
Tuesday: I went to immigration office with baby to obtain her international passport. At Abeokuta.
Thursday: I went with baby for for medical and immunization. (The baby international Passport, passport photographs, and immunization record was required for the processing).
Saturday: I collected medical result for the baby.
Sunday: I was in Lagos preparing for the baby appointment.
Monday: We were in the embassy with our baby. (The document submitted are: DS 230 for the baby, 2"x2" passport photographs, entire international passport for the whole family, medical report for the baby and NPC birth Certificate). The visas was Issued that very day.
The following week Tuesday: All our visas was received including package for the entire family.

Try to read our testimony. Believe God your visa is granted.

I prefer that you go with enough passport photographs. 3 copies was required during our interview for each member of the family. I just prescribed 4 numbers to be on a safer side. I wish you good luck.

Got up at 3, did some good praising and worship and prayer. Needed it
Got there at about past 5, at 6 they began the regular checks, the whole time I was singing and reminding my FATHER under my breath that it's HIS turn oh, to do what we have been talking about.
Anyways I was called at about past 10 and here is how it went
Me: good morning sir
CO: morning
CO: please sign these forms here
CO: do you swear to say the truth...
Me: I swear
CO: are you so and so?
Me: yes sir
CO: why did you apply for the programme?
Me: because I felt it offered a better opportunity for schooling and work and to further better yourself then I mumbled a bit
CO: nodding, are you travelling with your wife?
Me: wife?? I'm not married!!
CO: never been married? No kids?
Me: no, no, no
Co: have you been to the US before?
Me: yes, once
Co: what purposes?
Me: j1 visa, work and study sponsored by my school and cieee
Co: where did you stay?
Me: Montana
Co: surprised.
Co: nods. Ok. What were you doing?
Me: worked at McDonald's
Co: did you like the food?
Me: free food never tastes bad
Co: laughs.
Then I tell him about some of the places I visited. While I was talking he was returning my original documents and approving my visa
All this took less than 3 minutes oh.
Meanwhile, when I came he was the co I was trying to avoid, he turned out to be really pleasant! I give GOD all the glory cos it's not cos we deserve anything more than the other but HIS mercies!

You are good to go but please don.t forget your 4copies of 2"x2" passport photograph for each member of the family and pray for almighty God favour. I believe the visa is yours in Jesus name.

okeymen: Guys, I was told in Onitsha that the NPC birth certificate is only for those born from 1990 upwards. does any one know of someone born in the 70s that has been re-issued with an NPC birth certificate? Can someone born there be issued a birth certificate in say Lagos?

You don't need NPC certificate, you are require to submit NPC attestation.

The interview was conducted at Window 14.and we were the first to be called.

Congratulations Tobi, we had the same case with you during our interview and we are attended to by CO at window 14 too and now we have our VISA in our passport including for the new baby. Please mind you if you are going back with your baby, remember to fill DS230 for your baby and attach 3 copies of 2"x2" passport photographs with it. I know that is the same CO will attend to you. I pray for safe delivery of your wife in Jesus name.

My dear brothers and sisters on nairalanders, thank you for all ur comments, ideas and supports given in this site, went for interview today and under 2 minutes I was given the 2 white papers....Philadelphia here i come to posess my possession and my inheritance in Jesus Name.

He that has done it for me will do it for the remaining people in Jesus Name.

One 3 questions were asked of me, my highest qualification, the name of the school and what I do presently. That was it to the glory of God.
