onatisi:The mother is a Ghanian and father a Nigerian. He has his birth certificate. he played the lottery here in Nigeria and already chose nigeria as a preferred country for the interview. The thing is the Ghanaian authorities are giving him problem and demanding huge money to give him Ghanaian passport after showing the birth certificate. Of course the parent relocated very early to nigeria and he's bin doing everything Nigeria since then but occasionally travel to see the mums people. I've bin playing dvlottery since the ban on Nigeria because I am married to ghanian and if I won am using my Nigeria passport so I feel it could be applicable to him too since he is partially a Ghanian by birth and mums county but Nigerian by father. |
Hello VO A friend name John Oladele born in Kumasi, Ghana to Ghanian woman but later relocated to nigeria with both parent at age 7. He played Dv Lottery 2015 and won. He"s got all his papers that proves his ghanian status but he prefer to travel with the nigerian passport because he is a nigerian as well. Pls advise. |
shikshark:Thanks. But i got this info on the web * Please Note: IF YOUR COUNTRY OF BIRTH IS NOT QUALIFIED FOR THE US GREEN CARD LOTTERY, YOU MAY STILL BE ABLE TO QUALIFY! /read below/: Native of a country whose natives qualify: In most cases, this means the country in which you were born. However, there are two other ways you may be able to qualify. First, if you were born in a country whose natives are ineligible but your spouse was born in a country whose natives are eligible, you can claim your spouse’s country of birth—provided that both you and your spouse are on the selected entry, are issued visas, and enter the United States simultaneously. Second, if you were born in a country whose natives are ineligible, but neither of your parents was born there or resided there at the time of your birth, you may claim nativity in one of your parents’ countries of birth if it is a country whose natives qualify for the US DV Lottery Program. To enter the lottery, you must meet either the education or work experiencerequirement of the DV Program: You must have either a high school education or its equivalent, defined as successful completion of a 12-year course of elementary and secondary education; OR two years of work experience within the past five years in an occupation requiring at least two years of training or experience to perform. The U.S. Department of Labor’s O*Net On-Line database will be used to determine qualifying work experience. For more information about qualifying work experience, see Frequently Asked Question . If you cannot meet either of these requirements, you should NOT submit an entry to the US DV Visa Lottery Program. http://usgc.org/en/dv-2015-countries-eligible-for-usa-green-card-lottery-program-year-2013.html |

WombRaiders:WombRaiders, is that the best you can do? Calling people fools, I know your type and I won't exchange word with you as I have done earlier. I've gone through your post and profile and I've seen nothing really sensible in it except your unconstructive attack on the opposition. Shame As regards Ekiti, GEJ paid Fasoye 20B naira of the work done by Fayemi on federal project. Fayose has cancelled all the recruitment done by Fayemi and he's still owing. Let's wait and see how Mighty Fayose will cope without the favour of presidency after May 29. Pls follow this link to know if Ekiti is owing or not. http://www.punchng.com/news/unpaid-salaries-strike-imminent-in-18-states/ |
ifyan:@WombRaiders, Ifyan, Bacanista, it is no longer a news about the delay in payment of Osun workers salaries by Aregbesola led administration the State workers are owned 5months salaries while local government staffs are owned 2 months. Osun state allocation used to be 4 to 4.6billion every month and salaries will gulp 3.5 billion and since the dwindling allocation from the federal government it has affected Osun and several other state. now osun allocation has dropped to the lowest of 900million naira in last month, so how do you expect Aregbesola to perform miracles? Earlier before now, Aregbesola has been paying workers additional one month salary bonus instead of 12 months he pays 13 months annually, Is he not humane enough? He introduces training and workshop both home and abroad for civil servant on resumption which lots of the workers benefited immensely with huge incentives and bonus. Meanwhile the issue of delayed in salary and pension payment is not about Osun alone its across board, other state include Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Benue, Cross River, Ekiti, Imo, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, and Kogi, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers and Zamfara states as reported in the Punch Newspaper. Most of this state are currently being managed by PDP. I am a victim of Aregbesola demolitions and i have never benefited a single kobo directly from the governor but i have benefited immensely through the infrastructure he built in the state, many of you don't know Osun before Aregbesola and thats the reason we voted him massively again. We are still proud of him. #STILL# For the record, my OPINION is not to glorify Aregbesola for not paying salaries but for his contribution to APC nationally in spearheading the taking over of ASO ROCK so i don't know why you guys are bringing up different issue against my opinion. you can open a new thread and attack him if you wish am sure SEUN OSEWA wont charge you for that. If you care to know, this is what PDP and your Super Hero Boss Goodluck Jonathan has plunged nigeria to compare to Aregbesola in Osun "OBASANJO & YARADUA DID NOT LEAVE ANY DEBT FOR NIGERIA BUT RATHER LEFT HUGE SUMS OF MONEY AS NATIONAL RESERVE FOR NIGERIA. barcanista:Thanks for your observation. Noted and corrected but go and do your findings over 20 states of the federation are owing their workers even the federal government in the last 4 months borrowed to pay workers. |
AREGEBESOLA: The Unsung HERO in APC ‘s path to PRESIDENCY. By Remi Odewale Not many remember the road to ending the 16 years of governance of Nigeria by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) started on August 9, 2014 when Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola of the All Progressive Congress (APC) was re-elected for the second term, as governor of the State of Osun. The man known as Aregbe, won the governorship seat despite the hostile political environment created by the presidency allegedly using its agencies and unnecessary deployment of federal might to suppress the will of the people. But Aregbe brave all odds, mobilized the people through very rigorous political campaigns. Many of the APC chieftain from other states including the party's National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu among others were obstructed from entering Osun for solidarity campaigns same way the APC leaders were treated in Ekiti pre-election activities in June 2014. Despite all these challenges, Rauf Aregbesola remained undaunted, pushing ahead and in fact tackled the presidency and PDP headlong. The result: the will of the people was done and democracy prevailed in the state of Osun through the dogged posture of a man reputed for its uncompromising stand. Since the inception of his administration in September 2010, Aregbesola has been all out in all manner of way to criticize the PDP-led Jonathan administration for its lackluster performance in Nigerian economy, security, power, education and other social services even as the government daily rolled out the lists of its achievements often described as fictitious by Aregbe and his APC leadership. To show his dislike for the poor performance of the PDP-led government, he hardly attend the monthly Council of State meetings at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, believing such meetings were jamboree which decision never really impacted positively on Nigeria and Nigerians He publicly rejected and openly condemned most of the policies of President Jonathan, a stand that drew the ire and hatred of the presidency for the Osun governor as he was labeled a RASCAL though the man never bugged. He was the only APC Governor to have stood his ground against impunity and financial recklessness exhibited by the GEJ in the early part of his administration. He never dined or wined with the presidency for favor of federal presence unlike some of his colleague in same APC. He rather embarked on massive infrastructure development of Osun, turning every part of the state to huge construction sites of good roads and drainages, recreation facilities, schools and medical centers. He was indeed a pain in the neck of PDP. He was called several names by presidency: a secessionist, jihadist, rebel, cultist, Rascals among others, just to bring disrepute to his name and administration. Even some of his loyalist at a point fault his decision not to romance with the presidency because of the little resources /allocation available to the state of Osun. His radical views were seen as affront on the establishment and obstruction to status quo of looting, squandermania amid poor performance. Aregbesola’s re election last year pushed APC initial rating beyond average as the party popularity soar especially after Ekiti election failure. Huge sympathy came for APC and many Nigerians began to think of the opposition as truly able to upset the hitherto leading PDP. APC towel higher than pre-Osun election as hope was rekindled. The Osun governor turned the tide against PDP as presidency massively deployed military troops and men of the Department of State Services instead of regular police as it was done in Ekiti and Edo in previous exercise. The Osun August 9 elections was the oil, which fuelled APC way to victory in the March 28 and April 14 polls, as more Nigerians who had been yearning for change eventually, embrace APC ahead of the General Elections. Everything is now history as APC finally berth at the presidency, signaling the dawn of a new era and the hope in alternative but credible voice. That voice, which Ogbeni represents, can also be seen in many Nigerians. Ogbeni may have his shortcoming like every mortal but we will not be fair enough in our record of history if we fail to give Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola a vintage space as one that etched a hope out of a supposedly hopeless situation. |

kazmanbanjoko:They know better, believe me. The thing is thats the only thing left for them (PDP) and they are making it look like an extra ordinary thing. Where were they when Fayose chased them out of the state cos of the presidential backing. For the records, Aregbesola situation in 2010 was similar to that of Fayose when he got his mandate with over 70% of the house are PDP members, as rascal as Aregbesola is he never used the 30% of his APC lawmaker to chase out the 70% PDP lawmaker even in the first set of local government appointment, it was 60% to APC and 40% to PDP. He waited patiently for election time and he won all the house member seat. Instead of Fayose to thread the same path he dare God and started doing the unthinkable thinking he's got everything to himself until God turned the table against him. He must surely dance to the beat of war he started. Impeach, He must. |
Barselonia:Fani Kayode must be out of his mind for saying he PDP won all Ife. I voted in Ife South LG and here are the result; Final result Ife South local government Presidential APC-9793, PDP-9283 Senatorial APC-9526, PDP-9703 Representatives APC-9290, PDP-9222 Despite the fact that PDP killed PA of a sitting State house of honourable member with several house, cars and property destroyed. They could only win in senate with 177 votes. So tell FFK to shut his Dirty mouth up. |

picoba:OMISORE is a WITNESS. Congratulations to the people of Osun who chooses physical infrastructure and human development to Stomach infrastructure. It's only in Ekiti that a cup of rice can make a meaning in ones future but in State of Osun, the State of Omoluabi's being the cradle of Yoruba, we are the custodian of Yoruba behaviour, we don't judge the government on Rices and Kerosine but on positive impact the government had made. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. O-RETURN. To my family, friends, and RAUFOMANIA Group. thanks for the support and Now,the growth and development shall continue. APC Change. |
oduastates:You are on point but I'll still rate Akpabio very high among the governors because he's got the heart for his people. |
[quote author=oduastates post=27840099]This is getting boring. Lagos was not developed by the federal government as ilu Eko predates your useless federal government. If anything at all , the federal government presence destroyed the ambience of Lagos, cannibalised her architecture and brought too many wanted JJCs or should I say Johnny come latly. This has been proven time and time again. comparing apkabio to fashola is becoming the joke of the season . It like comparing a man with a tacky house(so-called " mansion" )in surulere or elsewhere with a professional with 5 townhouses in newyork or detached house in central London. If you are talking about physical structures and getting the biggest bang for the buck, Bring your apkabio and compare him to 3 years of amosun in ogun state. But I will not go into this dumb ,low level argument on your understanding of governance . Governance is a process and a science . The lack of governing institutions and processes makes every other thing plain window dressing. That is why one governor builds a road which ends up looking for cars , while the other is building mini power station to bypass the useless power grid and supply electricity to her governing institutions (rather than free electricity to bayela). Already LASG Generates almost 100MW and more and more are being built( using brains to get around the corrupt centralisation of everything. It is the same reason why the mass transit rail is being built. your apkabio is not different from other African dunderheads. In fact , amaechi is more of a modern and better leader. This is because rivers state not only share similar social and demographic challenges with Lagos , but is saddled being neighbours with a lawless state like bayela and banditory on the high seas. My advise is for you to compare him with delta state governor.[/quote You are on point but I'll still rate Akpabio high among the governors. He's got the heart too. |
Comparing the massive project both governors embarked upon and delivered in their various state. Who's better than who? No sentiment or political preference. Just personality. Thanks |
tafrica: His CV is quite impressive. Many people will be astonished by that CV, they thought Omi was a raw thug and had nothing upstairs.Impressive indeed, we need to know the date he got those degrees as written in primary school cert cos the last time I saw his CV in 1999 when deputising Baba Akande OND was his highest qualification. Though I admire his CV coming from a humble background but those qualification needs lots of energies and sleepless night to come bye which I know Omisore has been very busy since 1999 and must have gotten little or not time to pursue those degrees. |
Garri the 1st: The Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola aka AregbeRascal..Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola deserves it. He's done a lot but talks too much. |
Brimmie: How dare you put Bisi Akande in the same line with Oyinlola??I'm a resident of oshogbo the state capital of Osun State and I can confirm without bin biased that Aregbosola's achievement have surpassed that of Chief Bisi Akande and Prince Oyinlola combined. I'm not a fan of Aregbosola neither do I like his person but this guy achievement in the Osun state will remain the best ever in the history of the state. I would implore you guys on NL before you start attacking this resourceful and hardworking man pls make a short visit to Osun state to see the spate of development in the nooks and cranies of the state, I promise a free ride touring of the state capital when u arrive. Aregbesola have done a project expected in the next 15yrs in just 3 years of his administration and what amazes me is how come he could achieve this much with little Allocation and IGR of thé State. How I would have love to upload pics of his achievement but the network won't allow that. Without mixing words Aregbosola has done enough to qualify him as the best governor in the country. Though I respect peoples opinion but I would implore us all in the house to always check on fact before bashing. |

Why won't they clamour for his release when Al Mustafar was released after all his atrocities as the CSO to Abacha. I am very sure if his release will benefit the present govenrment in the next general election FG will press for his transfer form Britain. Nigeria is a JOKE. |
