MXrep:He can't own the brand name ode. The brand name belongs to the parent company. The franchisee uses the brand name for his store which is what Amusan does wt all his 25 shoprite stores. Gosh. Please go and read a book. He owns all the stores and the whole supply chain of Shoprite in Nigeria. He bought it 100%. Also it's exclusive - no one else owns a ShopRite store in Nigeria cos no one else has the franchise. It doesn't mean he owns the building ShopRite is situated in. Dts a different issue. As I said earlier, he owns the palms in Lekki, ota, Enugu, Ibadan and Ilorin. And ShopRite rents in the other malls they are located in. |
MXrep:All these illiterates one argues wt online sef. What is franchise what is store. The store IS the franchise. Duh. |
misano:Please say what you know. The ShopRite franchise in Nigeria (Retail Supermarket Nigeria Ltd) owned all the ShopRite stores in Nigeria. This was bought by Amusans company. There is no other ShopRite franchise in Nigeria that is owned by anyone else. He owns all 25 stores. ShopRite (SA) itself has no interest in franchising to any other company in Nigeria. It took a lot for them to even allow Amusan franchise their brand, and it's because he was their landlord at the palms and owned other successful franchises. His wife Ayo Amusan, owns the Hugo Boss, Lacoste and Puma franchises in Nigeria. Now if U talk about who owns the shoprite malls, dts a different issue. Amusan owns the palms mall in Lekki, Enugu, Ota, Ilorin and Ibadan, but all the other premises ShopRite shop resides in across the country is rented. PS - in related news, the Spar franchise in Nigeria is also solely owned.

Zonefree:Rep. Emeka Chinedu Martins (PDP Imo). Not APC. |
Iriruaga100:And we’re condemned by the international community for anti democratic practice. |
This thread reeks of hate. Hate and bitterness oozes from every pore of these obidients. Self inflicted bitterness. Anyways ur lamentations should show you that God is not mocked. He knows the heart of every man. |
He actually said ‘Shina ma Kimi’. Shina don’t greet me. It’s sad dt Shina peller is now out of politics. He was already in the house of rep for Iseyin, Oyo state (APC). Instead of maintaining his rep seat, he decided to run for senate against another APC’s seat, he lost the primaries, and angrily joined accord party as their senate candidate, proceeded to dissing his APC opponent and the party for abandoning him. Is it not u dt went to contest a current APC candidates seat and lost? You didn’t even consider all those dt helped u into politics and abandoned Tinubu’s campaign by party switching. At least they’re not fake famzing. Shina ensured he continued tapping MC and heard directly what he needed to hear, since they were all on the same team before. MC is just a loyal boyboy dt only hears come when his oga tells him. |
Nobody cares about ur obi, except you. |
crossbreedwears:Oh God please stop arguing. Marwa did not retire after handing over. He was retired by Obasanjo in 1999 when obasanjo retired all politically exposed military administrators. Marwa was one of them. Why would a 46yr old marwa who just got a promotion in the army retire from the army in 1999? |
wonder233:Trust me. Nigerians are very stupid, greedy crooks. In a planning office in Benin city, a man brought his plans for approval, the planning officer took him to GIS, said there’s a problem wt his land. GIS said he can’t build on the land cos it’s within 30m of power line. This was a very huge land he bought from community chiefs for millions. By the time GIS confirmed the portion he could build on, it was just about 10% of the land the chiefs sold to him. The government didn’t care about whatever money he paid to the community chiefs. They said he can’t build past that area and gave him c of o only for the reshaped land. He followed the planning officer back to the office and convinced dt one to approve his building plan so he can build. Dt one spoke to his oga. They explained to him dt he’ll pay certain amount to them and they’ll overlook it, but they won’t sign any building approval and also he should just be aware a new governor can come and demolish his house, but dt its very rare, so he should carry go. Dude started building the next week. Dts Nigerians for you. |
crossbreedwears:No they were sent back to the barracks after the handover to democracy. Obasanjo is the one that retired them all. It was basically a sack but they got their retirement benefits. He didn’t want any senior military officers in the barracks, cos the last time obasanjo handed over to democracy in 1979, senior military officers truncated shagaris presidency wt a coup. He didn’t want a repeat.
|
mightyhaze:Obasanjo became president in 1999 and retired all generals in the military to avoid any coup plans. Dt was a smart move cos he knows them more than anybody. Dts why we still have a democracy till today. Remember obasanjo was committed to democracy. He was the only military president that held elections and transferred to a democratic president, Shagari, in 1979, before abdusalami did in 1999. |
Houseontherock1:Abuja, the federal capital of Nigeria, was bombed 3 times when GEJ was in power. Hope U remember. I just say let me remind U cos some of you seem to forget. I was living in Abuja then and many of us lived in fear. Malls were deserted. |
Bigchristo:Tinubu ain’t a narco. But God no go shame us. If tinubu shame us, na we go remove am. |
Segzy19:Bella disu is in charge of glo. She is also the vice chairman. Her dad is chairman. The headquarters of glo, Bella's place, is named after her.

Whitelion07:We value our daughters in Yoruba land is the point I’m making. My father has already shown us his will as he is alive and he willed the same amount of properties to his son as he did to his daughter. |
APC supporters don rush dey post under the tweet.
|
001Lagos:She said ‘one day’, what do u think that means? |
001Lagos:Lol! She practically predicted Tinubu’s presidency since 2014. What a prophecy! That’s the big deal. |
The activist made the tweet in September 2014 and its going viral on twitter: Source: https://twitter.com/AishaYesufu/status/509618074597994496

I miss SLS though. I really liked him. Only thing I didn’t like was when he married dt 18yr old girl. He should’ve just remained honorable like Buhari. I respect Muslim men with one wife a lot. Singleness of mind and purpose. It shows discipline and character. |
Quiet billionaire. Won’t be surprised if this guy wills all his wealth to his daughters because 3 of his daughters practically control everything presently. |
Iamgrey5:Meh just want to diss yorubas for no reason. Na their way. |
And this is where the case against Tinubu crumbles. "That the object of the suit was to forfeit the funds or a certain part thereof in the said accounts as proceeds of illicit traffic in drugs. “That the suit was not taken out against the person of the 6th Respondent." The fact is the suit the US filed was a forfeiture of funds in a bank account. It wasn't a suit against Tinubu. He wasnt charged for any crime. Criminal charges were used against the drug criminals, tinubu was not in dt case at all. They were tracing everywhere the criminals hid their money and traced it to Tinubus fund. They then asked him to forfeit it. Dts what the US government wanted. If they felt he was involved they would have charged him for a crime with a criminal charge, not a civil charge to forfeit funds in his account. |
The op of this thread is an Igbo man. He pretends to be Yoruba to drive agendas to attract insult and mockery to yorubas. I implore all yorubas to ignore him and his baits. |

Duru009:And so? They’re Nigerians like you and I. |
Karemarealty288:Dts our prayer. |
