NYSC › Re: A Quick Breakdown Of ₦33,000 NYSC Allowance By Williamssheks by RepoMan007: 10:19am On Dec 12, 2023
that's $27.

9k allowee ten years ago was $55. We don't spend dollar but using the stability of dollar to gauge hardship level irrespective of naira volume at hand, that 33k or 100k means nothing if after printing money and paying corpers more they can't afford what they used to.

Hmmm .. so elephants too dey serve their fatherland. 5k ko, pot of soup ni.

2. Feeding allowance : corpers are not prisoners so they should eat well. At least 5k/per day for feeding.

5000*30=#150,000-27,000= #123,000

FreeStuffsNG:
Most of those killed by Hamas were the Thai farm labourers. Most of those who survived have returned to Thailand and promised never to return to Israel. It is the murdered Thai farm labourers that Isreal is seeking to replace with cheap labour from Malawi probably because Asians may have embargoed Isreal for now.

The Malawian Govt could still have waited until the war ends. This is where I expect African Union (AU) to step in and persuade the Malawian government to exercise some patience.
Idiotic post.
How many has died in peaceful Nigeria where people are practically trekking across deserts and hiding in vessel engines just to go wash dead bodies?
I knew you would disguise your hatred for Israel and Jews with one useless Africa union bullcrap. The gazans are working there and havent placed demonic embargo for obvious reasons yet.

Why did the Malawian government allow such a deal to happen with Israel? I consider it demeaning to take Africans all the way to work in Israeli farms in this 21st century.

Why didn't they go to Europe to hire labourers.
be talking like someone high on SCOAN anointing water and dinkum.
Will you employ them or aren't the labourers better than Japa-people washing dead bodies in that same Europe?
Politics › Re: Cash Scarcity Are We Still Going To Blame Godwin Emefiele by RepoMan007: 8:51am On Dec 12, 2023
Everything they criticized about emefieli, they have done. Even the subsidy they removed, has silently returned. The rates(black market and official) are up by at least N500 each, so what's the point still politicizing the emefieli issue if not for heartless destruction of the system that is their target?

Cocoa farmers must be making a killing to the extent the beans are pilfered. shocked

Good a thing, unlike Ghana and Ivory Coast, there are no restrictions on the prices Nigerian farmers wish to sell. That is the beauty of capitalism: the free market.

Ghana, as I write, signed a deal with the IMF to trade her future earnings from cocoa for an immediate loan. Terrible decision. I was stunned! The Ghanaian economy must be so terrible for such to have occurred when the president and his finance minister studied at Oxford and Columbia universities, respectively (I wonder what they learnt while there assuming they actually attended classes and paid attention).

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-11-21/ghana-to-sign-costliest-loan-ever-for-cocoa-as-debt-crisis-bites
We are cursed with leadership problems. How can you sign away something as valuable as cocoa? Something that can be processed to generate thousands of well-paying jobs and profit for your economy?
Code D'voire tried to into processing but there is room for improvement. I wonder what Ghana was thinking.
Agriculture › Re: Robbers Steal Cocoa Beans As Cocoa Prices Balloon - Bloomberg by RepoMan007: 8:31am On Dec 12, 2023
Thanks to aging trees in Nigeria, cocoa yield has dropped and that means higher prices whenever demand becomes strong.
I am sure if the north had the ability grow cocoa as well as the south, they would have priotized the replenishing of the younger more productive trees and processing of cocoa into chocolates. That's a $150b global industry we are comfortably ignoring yet wishing oil will sell higher forever.

Nigeria is largely an agrarian country that should be having six ministries of agric. One for each region. This should help reduce the politics of interregional exploitation that's crippling many things in Nigeria. The least I expect from Tinubu is this if he is serious about improving the system.

Well, and the first thing they would tell Nigerians is subsidy has to go.

And then Nigerians will call them evil.

Make them enjoy their retirement. At least thanks to them, I woke up from subsidy dreams.
Yes because they have no real power to handle corruption and the executive who have the power to do that are neck deep in it.
Didn't Iweala borrow and warned of he impending slide in fortune we are still seeing till today?
What will she do differently? Did she build refinery or attempt to build one? Will she go to her village and produce dollars so the selling price will crash to N500?

The idiotic fellows calling for failed hands never realize the structure we running is designed to fail and they are the one who resist restructuring the most. Govt recurrent bill reduction may mean laying idle teachers off and the north is the capital of idle earners. Will they allow such a practice stop? Did they cry when Buhari was taking senseless loans and building unviable projects or woefully failing to deliver promises? They suddenly found their voices now a Southerner is there. They are very stupid to say the least. Parasitically stupid and deeply senseless.

Politics › Re: Major Cities Thrown Into Darkness As Power Grid Collapses by RepoMan007: 8:14pm On Dec 11, 2023
The idea of a national grid in a disunited country whose constitution was written at gun point(dictatorial regime of abacha) is bound to fail. Let's give room for smaller grids. Allow states generate and transmit within their boundaries to break chains of this strife that's leading to destructive politics.

Look at how NNPCL is building pipelines and plants in the north without issues. If that was a nationwide project, I doubt it would have succeeded. The north will say we hold all the cards and should develop at the expensive of the south. The south will say, we fund the country in retaliation and a crippling struggle will be triggered. That's not the case in Hausa-nized NNPCL and so they are able to build plants but not refineries.
