God1000:
Russia-Ukraine war is ongoing

Israel-Hamas war is ongoing

There's hunger war in Nigeria as well.

I pray for a peaceful and prosperous 2024

But how come Hamas fighters are not dying, but instead we keep seeing dead and injured women and children everyday from airstrikes

Something isn't right, there are a lot of controversies about the captured persons Israeli military paraded some weeks ago, so I don't believe that story

Killing innocent civilians is a sign of weakness

Stories like this is common in the US. Some of us laugh when ignorant people that has never left the shore of Nigeria will be telling you about "saner climes".
It rains and pours everywhere.
still better than a country where they can shoot you for your account balance and label you a criminal.

What a bad way to end ones journey on earth? Jakpa gone sour.
if same had happened in Nigeria, he probably will be paraded as a armed robber with one rusty pistol. Jakpa still favoured him. At least the money in his account will go to his next of kin and not a nest of killers.

I hope all these news are not just coincidental propagandas. If true, it should sustain the crash in cost of dollar.

POS operators now charge N400 to withdraw N5000

The question is, where the POS operators getting the cash from?
if you transport to a bank to deposit cash, will they pay you for it? No. So sell to POS in your area and bypass their COT plus you (get to) make profit.

Wahala for the private-sector workers angry.
Their fate is to increase their service and produce cost. At last the workers will be able to buy less with their new found wealth because it is easier to increase prices with mouth than for government to print money.

Congrats to Dangote, but he better be allowed to sell fuel at market price from that refinery.
Is there any private or govt product that has been forced to sell below market price?
Keep replying to your own imagination from thread to thread.

We all know govt pays full prize for the product and then allow marketers to sell below the cost price.

Landing cost as at October was N720 per liter. Cost of fuel then was N580-700. Oga, you better believe it...lol.

Tinubu and company are not to be trusted. Like all politicans. cheesy
if salary can be paid, TAM done and resuables bought all the years the refinery was comatose, even a 100% subsidy can't justify any failings going forward.

Politics › Re: Dangote Refinery Gets Another 1 Million Barrel Of Crude Oil by RepoMan007: 12:22pm On Dec 21, 2023
At this rate we could be 2-3 months away from production if 10 million barrels must be secured before running the refinery.

Takeaways

1.I am not surprised. I knew people working there and they were optimistic about it.

2.However, NNPC better sell petrol from that refinery at MARKET PRICE...like their Nigerien bretheren who sell fuel from their refinery at MARKET PRICE...otherwise we would see the same old story about the refinery again.

But knowing what tinubu is up to...I know subsidy will be back so..

3.The honest truth is that one refinery is not enough. WE NEED EIGHT OF THEM...then we can talk. If we get back to refining 400000 BPD as it was in the 1980's good.
When last did they sell petrol below market price?

Politics › Re: 'fg Should Prioritize Taming Inflation Not 1ttrillion Dollar Economy' by RepoMan007: 4:53pm On Dec 18, 2023
Inflation is being fuelled by years of neglect of rural area as well as other well known factors. The man in bush farms see money everywhere as a result of printing and attempts to get his share by adjusting his much needed produce. He increases prices a little, demand remains. He does a little more, demand remains again so he steps up further. Add increasing cost of inputs to that. Add levies by thugs and bandits.

How can someone believe giving 25k to 15m is the solution to economic problems. When we said Tinubu doesn't know Jack about development, they called us wailers. Money boys will use to carry olosho or buy drinks and pepper soups., women will use to buy Aso ebi. angry grin grin grin grin grin
Oloshoism does not swell GDP, it can only increase IGR. Same too for gambling, and alcohol. What I rather use to measure the 75k is how well it can start a supporting business or help people out. The package isn't meant to end poverty in history of mankind. What I am afraid of is the govt waiting until election is near before disbursing or using voting pattern distribution to influence who get more of the money.

N625B in all, still lower than one month FAAC and they will likely delay until election time before acting so it will serve as a vote inducer.
