My question would be: How did the house grow under the car?

Pootle:Should be either "banku" or "kenkey". If banku, it's sometimes eaten with okra soup + pepper sauce and a lot of fish protein. |
You should not be ashamed of the legitimate job that takes care of your basic needs. If you check well, there are many unemployed persons roaming around that wish to be in your position. The only downside is that it consumes your whole time and does not give you some free time to scout for other job opportunities available within your locality. Suggestions: 1. Look beyond the challenges and identify managerial skills you can learn from the current job. This will increase your chances promotion or securing better jobs. 2. Whenever you are not attending to customers, go online to learn a few digital or real life skill that relate to your goals in life. You will be surprised how much you can learn online. If real-life skills (fashion designing, welding, agriculture, electrical works, mechanical works etc.) are your preferred, check for those that are easy for you to gain free or low-cost practical experience maybe from a friend, family member, neighbor, acquaintance etc. 3. Look beyond the business challenges and maintain a positive energy and friendly countenance when attending to customers. A positive energy has a way of attracting good fortunes. Even when some customers are rude, try to maintain your composure and do not try to retaliate. Some people have been able to get better job offers from their customers just by maintaining good customer relations. NB: Do not always beg customers for tips because it passes you as cheap and irritating. |
Heart goes to all victims of insecurity and human's wickedness against humanity. Even if you are not sure of your next meal but you enjoy peace, go give thanks to your creator. Peace is so underrated!!! |
1. Small is profitable, so start small and grow overtime. 2. Start with less risky crops/livestock and diversify when you gain enough experience. 3. Do not bite more than you can chew. 4. Look for a good mentor and attach to him/her, it will save you from many mistakes. 5. Have a good understanding of market dynamics, it will help you understand when to plant or stock your livestock. Make we pause for here |
whirlwind7:I will. Thanks. |
Mandem05:If you can, a visit to my farm is okay. If you cannot visit, I may be at Ibadan before next weekend. Can you drop your digits so I'll call before embarking on the journey. |
Mandem05:Ogun State. |
Every crop has critical stages that needs to be properly managed for optimum yield. Some crops can forgive certain management mistakes while others are very vengeful and will deal with you (low production) if you make similar mistakes. Like cucumber, tomato is less forgiving and will not fail to register its displeasure if not properly managed. I hate to say this, your manager may be right. Leaving the tomato seedlings up to 6 weeks in the nursery with accompanied moisture stress will impact on the overall performance. If you can afford it, nurse a new batch of seeds for half of your farm with seed trays to be transplanted in 3weeks. Also go ahead with transplanting those seedlings that are yet to flower in the other half space. This way, you'll reduce risk of total loss if the older seedlings fail to give good performance. |
Mandem05:Where's your location so that we can run the experiment? I'll like to see my customer's reaction to its hotness. |
Mandem05:What is the price and unit quantity you're willing to sell? |
Mandem05:If the seeds are still viable, it most likely will give a good performance. I'm open for an experiment of a few reaper seeds if you don't mind. |
Mandem05:Will be too hot/spicy to use for sauce. Over here at my location, the stew/sauce prepared by most South Westerners (buka/canteen inclusive) contains 60-70% rodo. If the pepper is too hot, the won't be able to use much and this impacts on the volume and aroma of the sauce. I wouldn't want to laboriously produce the pepper just to struggle with sales. That's the major reason I prefer producing to satisfy existing demands. |
Mandem05:For me, market determines the variety of crop I cultivate. I prefer cultivating crops that have existing demand in my selected market to avoid stories that touches the kidney and lungs after a successful hectic production. |
44Bulldog:Ogun State. |
I grow red scotch bonnet pepper (rodo) but mine is a heirloom OPV I bought from a local farmer over here. I have been replanting the seeds for the past 4years and have been getting good results. |
jidestroud:I am always looking to your updates. About starting goat husbandry on a small scale. Hoping to learn more from you. |
Fk2021:Hello Fk2021 Any idea on the current price of dried chilli pepper per bag?
|
AlfieFarms:Providing answers to the questions below should be a good start. *What's the size of land you are considering? *What level of mechanization do you want to deploy? *Do you have previous experience cultivating maize on a commercial scale? *How do you intend selling - fresh or dried? *Do you have a CONFIRMED and GUARANTEED market for the maize? |
Superpack589:I don't think the business is wrong if done with the right mindset. Considering the seasonality of agro produce, we need some middlemen to bridge the gap between surplus and scarcity. Even the government is engaged in storage using public silos or other facilities. The only issue is that many middlemen are greedy and too exploitative. They intentionally create artificial scarcity in order to make abnormal profit. If done with the right motive, it's a good business. |
Millennials truly missed the days of folklore. When we get seated in anticipation of Tales by Moonlight. When music was an effective channel of education. When morality and decency was still very much celebrated. Time has really gone by so quick. |
RainMoreDFARMS:No longer available. That batch advertised earlier is currently fruiting and under harvest. |
doyin01:We've had people with similar intentions in times past and they all failed. He is not the first neither will he be the last. |
Alexas58:This guy is most probably a kid who's looking for validation. Unfortunately, you won't get that from anyone here because you've displayed high level of immaturity. Look at all the respected personalities on this thread and you'll observe that they've gained respect overtime. They don't just post signals, they also post the step by step analysis that led to generation of the signal. That way, everyone that adopts their signal does so out of conviction. Like I said, you're still a kid that needs more schooling on communication skills. |
Alexas58:Does it look like I'm interested in your useless analysis? Does this also look like a d*ck measuring contest? Do yourself a favor by getting lost from this thread. The knowledge found in this thread is far older than you. No one is in competition with you. An empty barrel makes the loudest noise. |
Alexas58:Mr man!!! Can you please take your expertise and analysis elsewhere? You are spamming this thread with meaningless banters, making it difficult to filter through important posts. Your posts are becoming annoying. |
Alsenora:Nursed mine early February. Learnt my lessons and currently making plans for a better production with next batch. |
Farmerakinloye6:This year's climate is the worst I've ever experienced. I lost all my 50g Cobra 26F1 seedlings although can't tell if the seed quality is compromised this year because 2 other tomato farmer friends also experienced the same with Cobra. One lost 3 tins of 50g while the other lost 4 tins. Same Cobra that gave us good production last year. The Diva that managed to survive aborted over 75% of its flowers. Tomato has dealt with me this year. My succor is in the 2acres of rodo I have that's currently fruiting else, I would be lost completely. |
Looks like a rhombic egg eater. |
zindu:If you meant shrinking new leaves of the pepper, spray Sharpshooter insecticide early morning or late evening. Their condition will start changing within a week if they are well hydrated. |
mcyemite:Average quantity per harvest? Current price you sell per bag? Variety cultivated? |
concho:Hello Concho, Considering the whole narrative, I would say you are very wrong. Your choice of words are inappropriate. You know how important reviews are considered when making decisions especially when it involves business transactions. When making a request from someone (especially a stranger), you should be prepared for either a YES or NO answer. Now, drawing conclusions on the premise of your conversation with Maureen, the favour you are requesting from her is a business secret that she can only divulge to whomever she please to. Your venturing into foodstuff business automatically makes you her competitor. So, will you expect a competitor to expose classified information to you? Just like others, I've also done business with Maureen and she has proven to be a young woman of integrity and proven records. I would suggest you kindly bring down your post because use of the words UNRELIABLE and CUNNING is slanderous and can cause damage to her brand's reputation which won't benefit you either. Don't allow this experience destroy a cordial future business relationship you may develop with her. I can tell you for free that Maureen is a woman of integrity with a good heart. Just look for a way to work with her. Cheers!!! |
