Majesticniyi: I learnt driving with a manual drive but not I drive an automatic. I really don't understand why someone would want the stress of driving a manual. Wait sef, I'm sure those supporting manual would also ask me to use a typewriter for my documents instead of a computer....why would I want to drive a manual? What a manual can do, an automatic can do better. Someone said it makes one more alert on the road but that's at the expense of what? Getting tired to work everyday? I hope op isn't an engineer that goes home tired after work everyday sha.... with thus your statement you clearly don't know how to drive manual . The only time u probably drove a manual was in driving school ( those clumsy teachers, that don't even know the tricks of up shifting or down shifting .). |

iamzoya: I am a woman and for the past four years i drive a manual car (ford) and its been ok. By the grace of GOD I have never had any cause to worry. Its very easy to avoid an accident with manual cars if you are good at changing gears and you will also enjoy a manual car when its raining.
#myopinionanyway yes u sure know how to drive. esp when u pointed out how to maneuver and avoid accidents by changing gears. for eg quickly down shifting or putting ur car in neutral when trying to brake abruptly increases the effect of braking almost tripple. manuals rock sha. autos are cool but jes dere |

I drive a manual car more often. Truth is , it's only people that can't really drive manual that bring up the excuse that manuals are stressful. it's more fun, faster, and you're in control |

hehe why won't dangote do that, when the govt is giving him undue advantage over the test. A That way he controls all the sectors, and becomes the instrument for continous northern domination. What they couldn't achieve with the civil service, they wanna use a monopoly to attain. But I love capitalism, you cant cheat foe too long.
I must say contrary to how people look down on the north as uneducated, one thing I give them is their ability to strategize and make strong political moves. If a southern president made the same move ie give undue advantage to a company like capital oil, or conoil, you'd see a combined criticism from that region. What beats me is how I see supposed educated ppl here not being able to read in btw the lines. Perhaps I'm beginning to see why northern leaders strive to maintain a ruling class and leave the rest of the populace as common beggars. so the ruling class maintains so much power and influence.
Everyone can't have an opinion, it destroys the common good. What I just stated can only be deciphered by the intelligent in depth ones. Some ediot will call me a bigot.

Buhari gave out licences, same way abacha gave out licences, a licence isn't enough reason to come do business. A Every investor needs guarantee on the safety of his investments. Even the banks will not give out loans if they fear loopholes in the sector being invested in. It should be noted that not everybody has the support and clout dangote enjoys from this govt. Why was dangote scared of building his refinery in the last admin?
If you don't put laws protecting investments in that sector nobody will put money in there. I expect the president to radically insist the Senate pass the PIB. Giving dangote our scarce forex at the detriment of all other businesses is terribly biased and bigoted.
I'm tired of this topic, and just like I spoke out during the ojota jamboree of 2012 and the resultant effect, I'll sit down and watch. we still remember what happened in the cement industry when dangote was the monopply, and how the fg sabotaged ibeto, cause no laws protected him.
Kill all other businesses so we have a dangote refinery, good buhari economics. I've never heard where fg finds a private business and destroys others. Some people still think it's equity . |

Marcelini: Stats is in conflict with your Yoruba lies:
Paul Anber's essay "Modernization and Political Disintegration: Nigeria and the Ibos" published in the journal of Modern African Studies vol. 5, No 2 (Sep, 1967) 163-179. See pp 171-172 for excerpt: " '' A system of Universal primary education was introduced in Eastern Nigeria in 1953, though the mission schools had already prospered in the Region long before then. Despite the fact that there was a requirement for limited contributory fees, education continued to be very much in demand. Even at the time when universal primary education was first introduced, the percentage of the population over seven years of age who were literate was higher in the East than in any other Region: East, 10.6 per cent; West 9.5 percent; North, 0.9 percent. Since 1959, the East has had more teachers and pupils than any other area of the country, with the heaviest emphasis on primary education. Figures for elementary and secondary education indicate that the approximate ratio of teachers to population in 1963 was 1 to every 1,500 in the East, 1 to every 2,500 in th West, and 1 for every 10,000 in the north. Other statistical data reveal how rapidly the standard of living rose among Ibos. The East had the most extensive hospital facilities in the country by 1965, the largest regional production of electricity in the country by 1954, and the greatest number of vehicle registrations by 1963. The economic orientation of the Ibos was also reflected through membership of credit associations:in 1963 the East had 68,220 individual members, the west 5,776, and the north a mere 2,407 ." ''... His source was the Annual Abstract of Statistics ( Federal Office of Statistics, Lagos, 1965) he's still onw of those ppl spreading beer parlor gist that yorubas are more educated than bla bla.... does he even know who the pioneer indigenous lecturers of the 1st universities in nigeria and the west were? Kaysalas: Now I quite disagree with you, on quota recently, I read about soldiers improvising their battle tanks right there on the battle field(not exactly while fighting was on), to meet the field ops requirements, now we can agree that while the top scientific team of the Germans were in protected kabs doing their work, combatants on the battle ground were not dullards either who couldn't apply some level of scientist knowledge to daze the enemy. Hope you get my drift this is true but they weren't the techies, there were mechanics trained to repair these machines. they weren't the brains |

Very funny, so u don't know that soldiers of the latter part of the 20th century were to a great extent military technologists too with chemical, weilding skills et all. Pls pay quora.com a visit especially the WWII section and upgrade your knowledge. But I must warn you! U must be ready to really read! hehe trust me I'm very schooled in history and I didn't do (.coms). The techies in WWII were NOT at the front lines, explains why they all fell into allied hands, after the war. Now various history books, have described the biafran conflict and the role the mercenaries played in them. None described them as techies but just ww1 veterans from Belgium n southafrica looking for coin. I don't know why it's so important for you to rewrite history and disclaim the achievements by the s and r team. The same reason nigeria refused to integrate these techies after the war. This is where the Blackman will always remain backwards. Cos he puts ego n nepotism before science. The US quickly took advantage of the services of Japanese techies irrespective of the fact they'd conquered Japan and hated the gooks. Cos science isn't what you play politics with, rather no matter how little it is, should be improved on at all cost. That's what makes great sicieties. |

People who won't take care of the kids like their own. Besides what makes he think he even wanted them in the first place? what makes you think he didn't want them? You ignorantly assume all fathers if left with custody of the kids, abandons them for the new womAn!! Anyways its true women are naturally more domestiicated than men and thus can pamper and show affection which is important for the childs growth, but mke no mistake in noting children that grow with their dads are usually more disciplined, and better prepared to start life. because fathers play a very impnt role in grooming what a kid will eventually turn out in future. On ther hand mothers end up spoiling and grooming overgrown babies. So pls both are important. |

If a million business men rely on a "palstry", forex like u put it, what is the justification that just one man have access to a whopping 10% of that? 5. If FG feel d need to protect businesses in the face of its obselete Policies, it should be across board. 6. If dangote is the next biggest employer of labour after govt and agriculture, please what is the total number of people he employs in a population of 180million that govt is not willing to protect other businesses but dangote that doesnt employ up to 1% of Nigerian population? 7. Lagos is the earth of business in Nigeria and dangote's presence in Lagos is less than 2%, what happen to all other businesses that keep Nigeria liquidity firm? .....................a narrow mindset is a disease. explain to that clown that monopolies go against the principles of privatisation and capitalism. Explain to that hard nutted brain, that 10percent of our forex to one enterpreneur while every other is starved is bias and will not ensure lots of employment as compared to when a viable enviroment is created and loads of fdis come in.
